MAHALTA FESTIVAL It was also called festival of festivals wherein 14 municipal towns of Oriental Mindoro join in form of street dancing. It depicts the culture of the Mindorenians. Mahalta means, MAngyan the native tribe of the province, HALcon the mountain that separate the province into 2 (Oriental Mindoro and Occidental Mindoro) and TAmaraw one of the extinct animals that can only be found in Mt. Halcon. They are our own, the pride of every Mindorenians. I miss watching this exciting events but due to pandemic, cultural activities like this were stopped. I love watching their synchronized dancing with their colorful costumes to the beat of nonstop music. Reminiscing the old times before I go to sleep. Good night everyone!
