Hello 👋 from #Sweden 🇸🇪 It seems that shops have started selling Christmas sweets in Sweden 🇸🇪 already. After we celebrate Halloween 🎃 then we start getting ready to celebrate Christmas for almost two months to the Christmas day 🎄 In Japan 🇯🇵, we do not celebrate Christmas (well, most of us are Buddhists or Shintoists, or Anthiests), but we celebrate the day as a party 🎉 day with friends. On the other hand, New Year's Eve and New Year Day are very important for us🍾. Oh that's interesting. I didn't know that about Sweden before. same here in czech republic. start of october this santa claus theme chocolates are already in the markets. aside from other Christmas theme sweets and others. because every dec. 6 we/they celebrate st. mikalaus day ( st. nicholas day), they hide chocolate and sweets around the house for children to find it. (applicable to adults too haha) as for new year. they dont celebrate it. they say, its just another day. nothing special. but in the Philippines, everybody celebrates it, even with simple dishes on the table.
Oh, so St. Mikalaus 🎅 is a big thing in Czechia 🇨🇿 😀🙌 In Japan 🇯🇵, Santa is pretty commercialized!! There's no religious fact behind Santa (St. Nicolas)....we kind of recognize Santa since Kentucky Fried Chicken, Cornell Sanders wears santas clothes 👗 LOL! It is interesting how countries celebrate the end of year differently 😆
yes here in Czechia st. nicholas day and christmas eve and day is very special. thats why its a big celebration. i think its the same with other Christian countries because its all for children and children at heart. receiving some surprises even how small it is. still brings joy to all of us.
That's lovely. We don't celebrate Christmas and St. Nicholas day in Japan, but we have specific days for Boys (May 5th 🎏) and Girls (March 3rd 👘), and these two days are national holidays in Japan 🎌 It is interesting how different countries cherish children and new generations 😆👏
nice. here in czech rep. they celebrate day of children every june 1. they received toys and candies and chocolates.
