Juicy BBQ Pork Belly @ Hanam BBQ Restaurant - Segambut, Kuala Lumpur Ssam (쌈) is one of my favorite Korean dishes. Ssam means "wrapped" in Korean language. It uses leafy vegetables e.g. lettuce to wrap a piece of meat, and is often accompanied by a condiment known as ssamjang sauce (mainly made of fermented soybeans and red chili paste) and can also be topped with raw garlic, green pepper, or kimchi. Me and my friends ordered a set of pork belly, steamed eggs with flying fish roe, kimchi stew, and kimchi fried rice. The pork belly is the bomb! It tasted soooooo good! So juicy and crunchy! 😋It's not too oily/dry/hard, as compared to the usual pork BBQ I had at other Korean restaurants. The original flavor of the pork wins it all! It doesn't look like it's marinated with sauce, so the chef has definitely done some magic to these innocent-looking pork bellies. Haha! Do drop by Hanam BBQ, if you're a fan of BBQ pork belly. Opening hours: Mon-Sun 11am-3pm, 5-10pm. p/s: Remember to go earlier as the place is quickly packed during peak hours. :) #foodphotography
