Redrawing Rei Ayanami Several years ago when the Covid-19 pandemic had just started, I decided to resume the activity of drawing and I had stopped practicing since I was a child to take advantage of the time and in turn generate content on social networks. One of the drawings I made was of Rei Ayanami, who is one of the main characters of the Neon Genesis Evangelion series. At that time, I was just learning how to use the different types of graphite pencils, so when I applied them in the drawing I could not notice the contrasts as they should be. Now, in these recent days and after some time has passed, I decided to redo the same image that comes from a magazine. Today we will see the final result with its different stages of elaboration and the correct way in which these pencils (between 3H, HB, 3B, 6B) should be used.
Next we will see the step by step of the new drawing and then the comparison with the previous one.
## COMPARISON BETWEEN BOTH DRAWINGS Here I will show the comparison between one and the other. The drawing on the left hand side is from the year 2020, approximately, and the new one on the right hand side is from 2024.
What do you think? Which one looks better? Is there or isn't there a big difference between the two? ๐ค I hope this will motivate you to do it. And remember you can comment at the end of this post, I'll be reading and giving you feedback. I also appreciate all the support received from all of you. Without more to say I'll see you in a next installment. Until then ๐๐. Materials used Recycled sheet; Eraser; Graphite pencils; Pencil sharpener; Ruler; Paintbrush.
