Performing maintenance on a wall clock Well, you see, more than 20 years ago I came to buy this watch when I was traveling in the United States. I bought it because it caught my attention by the fact that every hour it emitted a sound in which you hear the voice of a person shouting "Golf!" - the same cry that is used when the ball is about to be hit-, thus making it easier for the person to keep track of the time.

Over the years I stopped giving it the proper use; that is, I neglected to change the battery, and when I left them for a long time they ended up expelling their internal chemical components, so it generated corrosion in the parts where they were held.

So, having time and certain tools at hand I decided to give it a maintenance. And the first thing I did was to remove the housing and the glass, both located on the front. These were very dirty, so I used a brush to clean the case, and a cotton pad and isopropyl alcohol for the glass.

As for the other metal parts such as the screws among others, I immersed them for a couple of hours inside a container with a liquid to clean the toilet, since its main component is acid (the same one found in our stomachs), this in order to remove much of the accumulated rust.

Once all the above was done, I put everything back in its place to insert a battery that would start this great watch working, thus achieving the return to its normal. **Source of the images** Images captured with my Amazon Fire 8 tablet.
