Performing maintenance on the Rumble pack (N64)

As all those of us who are part of that generation of video game players know well, at the time of the Nintendo 64 there came a device that used to be inserted into the bottom of the controller, whose function was to generate vibrational movements when something happened within the game, some action that would be generated to or from the character, to which we were giving use. In my case, as you will see below in the images, I have one that fulfills double function: rumble pack and memory card. I have it for many years, and that, despite not being original, it has worked well to date until certain things happened: and that is that among one of them is the total loss of the memory card option, and that despite having changed the battery was to run out the previous one this function stopped working at all and with no possibility of any solution (that I know of).

As for the rumble pack, it was about to be completely lost because accidentally while changing the battery a cable came off that kind of power to the motor that generates the movements, and because of that I had to solder it with the help of a cautin and tin - I just lacked the paste, something fundamental for this type of operations.

In short, it was possible to save the second minus the first mentioned. A pity for the files that I had stored and that will be lost forever because of what happened. Source of the images Images captured with my Amazon Fire 8 tablet.
