While I was doing my usual afternoon walk, I felt a movement on the side of the path. I thought I have given someone a fright. When I looked, I saw this frog, but not immediately because it's camouflaged to its surroundings. To be honest, I had a second thought whether or not I will take photographs. He is huge and it was getting dark. I'm glad I didn't come closer because I found out that this type of frog is dangerous. Good thing I didn't irritate him. He is called a "Cane Toad" or a "Giant Toad" , and is described as poisonous amphibian. They have this venom-secreting poison glands on each shoulder where poison is released when they are threatened according to www.awe.gov.au. In fact, I think we can spot it in the photos. Its camouflage really worked. Its why I encircled the frog so we can easily spot it. In fairness despite it was getting dark, I think it's clear enough. It's just that it's camouflaged really well.
I saw them seldom but I think there is no danger unless we will touch them
Yes, I'd rather keep my distance and not even try to appear like threatening them. Better be safe than sorry😅
