Wallcreeper - an extremely rare and beautiful bird in the European mountains This unusual bird occurs in Poland only in two mountain regions, namely in the Tatra Mountains and in the Pieniny Mountains. It is difficult to observe, because it hides in nooks and crannies, and difficult to locate, because there are only a few dozen breeding pairs in Poland. He likes rocky, steep slopes and crags. It can also be observed, but very rarely on old walls, the ruins of brick houses. Hence, its name, both Latin and Polish Tichodroma muraria, more or less means running on the wall, i.e. Pomurnik.
