Tricholoma equestre - food from the forest This late autumn mushroom belongs to the controversial species when it comes to its suitability for consumption. Some say that it is edible, others that it is slightly poisonous. Most sources, however, state that it is a tasty edible mushroom. The problem, however, is its correct diagnosis, because this fungus can be confused with, for example, a poisonous sulfur goose or a deadly greenish toadstool. The latter gives virtually zero chance of survival. This late autumn mushroom has a yellow-green cap with olive scales or with skinny, fibrinous scales. --------------------------------------- all photos and descriptions posted on noise.cash are my property and are made by me. © copyright marianomariano
