That little something All of us have that little something, that makes us feel good. A little something that is our form of release, our form of finding happiness, our form of finding sanity in this crazy world as we go through the whirlwinds of life. It is something we need in our lives, it is something we owe it to ourselves and most times, forgotten as work and problems suck the life out of us. It is something we must find time and make time for. Sometimes, we live in…
It was a beautiful sight this morning when the flower bloomed. I have never seen its petals spread out so wide and then I realised it was because the sun was bright. The wonders of life and it was beautiful to see. *Rain lily or Zephyrlily* #MyGarden
There is something about stones. Stones like these, each are unique with its colours, inclusions, waves and minerals. When we touch them, they feel cold to touch and when we wear them, they can change in appearance, sometimes becomes shinier, sometimes duller, sometimes become darker, sometimes lighter. This is a four season thousand layer phantom, usually comes in mixed colours and I like to rearrange them. Happy Mother's Day to all mothers! :) #Stones
My very first googlyeyes and it was a happy one. Never have I seen how these eyes can change and give a totally different feel to an otherwise serious or plain things. Ah.. look at those adorable googlyeyes. I am reminded of them, thanks to @sh33la. Thank you. #MyGooglyeyes
Looking at the bright side Sometimes, it is inevitable. As much as we pray and hope that everything flows smoothly and gracefully, shit happens. Most times, it is not within our control and even though we try to avoid it, or thought we did what we had to do, to avoid it, some may say that destiny is as such that it will happen no matter what. No matter where we are, no matter how much we may have prepared, no matter how much ground work we have put into it, no matter how…
Do you know this guy? There used to be just a few of them. Each with a different name, different skills and power. But come to think of it, there are so many kinds of them nowadays. I made a card last 2 weeks for my brother who is a fan. I searched online and found one that I could follow, draw and colour (https://coloringdrawing.blogspot.com/2019/08/cartoon-ultraman-coloring-pages.html). Am quite happy with the way it turned out :)
There is deliciousness in simplicity. Just seasoned with some turmeric and salt, pan fried to deliciousness... salmon and trout fillets. I tried not to over fry to maintain their juiciness and they were pretty delicious with rice. Linner is done! Yummm. Happy Tuesday wherever you are!
With all the space expeditions that are going on now, wonder if there will be a time that we meet aliens as neighbours and friends? A happy Wednesday to you!
Lady's fingers or okra, one of my favourite veges, stir-fry with garlic and a sprinkle of sea salt or a few dashes of oyster sauce. Sometimes, I would add some cabbage too for added natural sweetness to the dish. I love vegetables and prefer eating them over meat, any day. What is your favourite?
One of my favourite photos when I visited the Kiyomizu-dera temple in Kyoto, Japan. The weather was just nice, though a little gloomy but it was perfect for walking to and around the temple. Peaceful and serene.
They bloomed for me again and these rain lilies truly lived up to its name. It rained suddenly in the morning and as the flower was facing outside, I captured the back of it. It is nice to see them bloom in this hot and rainy weather, which is the kind of weather for them.
I remember back in the days when pencil colours are my go-to art medium. I still like colouring with pencils and now with the watercolour option. It is easy to control and unlike a paintbrush, precision is easy with pencil colours. I should get back to it soon. It was fun back then when there was a weekly mandala colouring contest. The good ol' days.
Staying home I might have missed the boat but I still would like to join in the Curation Duo #1 hosted by both @wakeupkitty and @heartbeat1515 . Am not really sure how it works but one will never know if one doesn't try. It is a wonderful effort by the both of you and I appreciate it. I think that is the thing that is missing since the changes took place. It once had but I don't feel it no more. The soul. @heartbeat1515 mentioned in her post that: "*For* *Curation Duo #1**,…
It is nice to be able to give away ❤️s that is worth something. It is also interesting to see how the number of ❤️ co-relates to the earnings. Does it give an indication of the author's credibility? Maybe. It does help in a way to decide who to give the ❤️s to.
As I played around with the camera's focus function, it was nice to be able to change focus of the front object to the back object. I do not know what flower this was but I saw it while walking around at the temple in Kyoto the last time. As I focused the tree, there was a climber plant on the trunk. I do miss my travels.
I'm craving for some chocolate chip cookies and am reminded by my baking last year when the never-ending lockdowns started. One thing that I am grateful for with all the staying home is that I was forced to cook and bake. The more I do it, the better I get at it. It feels good to be able to make my own and practice does make things perfect :)
This was a view outside the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan which was a pier. I always like how the sunlight is reflected by the sea, giving it a sparkly feel. One of my favourite photos to take is the reflection of the sun by the sea or the sun passing through clouds. The common denominator here, the sun :) Have a sunny, happy day, wherever you are!
A view of Mount Fuji from a town nearby, more than a few years ago. It was a spectacular view, especially when the wind moves the snow. I stood there watching for a few minutes and it was totally breathtaking. Wonders of nature.
After dinner snack and once I start, I couldn't stop. Dangerous snack. Don't let them melt on your fingers, the colours are quite scary. There are quite a number of variations these days but not all are available worldwide. I have only ever tasted the plain ones, peanut ones and the one with crisps. I still prefer the good ol' peanut ones.
