To The Malaysian Government: Recent reports of an 11 year old girl being married to a middle aged Malaysian man have outraged people of all creeds who possess a moral compass. We read with huge disappointment the press reports that cited our Deputy Prime Minister as saying that Putrajaya is powerless to nullify child marriage as it is valid under Islamic laws. --- I think this is totally wrong. Children who are 11 not everyone has reached puberty. Moreover, NO MIDDLE AGE MAN should rob the joy of the young child's life and finding an equal life partner of her age, just because he cannot keep his lust. Children should be protected, not exploited. This happened during the savage age before world wars, and after 21 centuries, this poisonous mentality is still rampant. Women who have the ability to give birth to new life should not be exploited. Humans are continuously showing their ugly side of exploiting everything they have at hand instead of nourishing what is given by God. Children are our heritage and our future.
