Today is an auspicious day for the Chinese Community (commercially celebrated - but the real history is totally a different thing), and Malaysia as always would always takes up a notch on the Meat Dumpling (Bak Chang) when we take this as an opportunity to celebrate as family gathering. My mom usually makes the Nonya style Bak Chang, and the signature comes in the glossy dark sauce surface; but my brother went a "little crazy" this year, making his wife create a "Charcuterie" Bak Chang here you get from fungus, beans to meat and eggs combination. haha. 😅 I am grateful he didn't go all crazy and placed in the cheese section and allow the nuts and beans to stay. Have you ever had Bak Chang before? (This one is non halal, but there are Halal version and the usual vegetarian version available in Malaysia for all ethnic groups to experience) #Malaysia
