"Chopping Wood" - 155th post in counting In our place in province the main source of energy in terms of cooking the dishes most peoples here use a firewood that came from the old tree and chopped it into small pieces and this things are really help us in terms of creating a fire it was also help us to save money instead of buying the pricey of liquified petroleum gas. This is my Uncle Budoy even he was an old man still they do things like chopping of wood, in short never under estimate the old man, he is still have enough strength and power to do this things. It was also a usually to see in the people here in our province even they are old, because they used it in everyday. Some old people when they stuck doing such things they body are slowly weakened, that's why they still to work on it despite the old age.

The old tradition of making some fire to cook foods.
yeah even it was an old tradition still useful specially once you are live in the province
Maganda nga yan, tipid pa. The only downside to using wood in cooking is nauubos ang puno sa mga forest natin.
How old is your uncle? I'm 55, and I'm still doing everything I can to stay active =D
honestly he was 63 years old but the way they do it is not seeing he is 63 with the way he perform in daily doing on that

Still using an ax to chop wood and split it.π
yup and they know how to make it at the same time they know how to proper on it to avoid some not good things
The dry wood tored into pieces is big assets in province/ village life. We too used it for energy, fire, .
yup and they save money as well, since we use the branches of wood or even the old trees
I experience that when I was young @linoasis. I use "itak" when I chopped wood. All of our kitchen tools became dark whenever we are using wood for cooking dishes.
Trust me I have seen how skinny village people cut wood in one slash while many strong will suffer. The explosive strength of those people is on next level, also age doesn't matter to them. The old age village people are very stronger than the normal old people.
