Day 5, something cold. Crack open a tub of Breyer’s ice cream…that should be cold enough. 🥶 #Scavengerhunt

Starfruit, or Carambola. When the tree in our yard ripens, it goes off, and we give bunches of the fruit away to friends and neighbors. Love watching my kiddos pick them and eat them right off the trees. #Fruit
Day 6 - something small One of the many sea snail shells in the collection of treasures my littlest keeps. #Scavengerhunt
Absolutely loved this scavenger hunt. Got me to take photos I might not have, and allowed me the chance to see other people’s photos I also might not have been exposed to. Day 7 - something dirty Workin boots! #Scavengerhunt
Just playing around with the exposure and the black and white of the light #BlackWhitePhotography
These keeping people out, or keeping people in? #MobilePhotography
If you haven’t yet read “Cat’s Cradle” by Kurt Vonnegut, do yourself a favor and remedy that. #Books
A salesman rings the doorbell on a house, and the door is opened by a 12 year old, holding a glass of cognac and smoking a cigar The salesman is stunned, but plows forward and asks, "Is your dad home?" The kid replies, "What do you think?!” #Giggle
One of two Day of the Dead skulls done with the kiddos. #ArtPark
Ever the busy little bee, working hard in the crown flower #Photography
I was told that this was one of the most stolen books from public libraries. Not sure when that was, but certainly the stigma associated with being a drunk was worse then than it is now, right? #Books
Black & white pipes growing out of the dark #BlackWhitePhotography
The tail was probably already either eaten or wrapped around some poor swimmer’s body, but these pretty blue-bottles wash in with the trade winds and can sting like the devil
Found this little guy, eating that littler guy while walking along the beach today. #Photography
So, you can just add YouTube videos to these posts? Like, re-posting someone else’s content from a different platform is ok content? #Music
Don’t know if anyone has read, or remembers “The Sneetches” but I’ve read it to the kiddos a bunch. I understand the message as “everybody’s the same on the inside, no matter their outside” but I found myself getting annoyed at the mopey attitude of the “non-star bellied Sneetches”. So I’m teaching my kids to include everyone, but when they feel “left out” their attitudes & actions should be “Fuck ‘em; that’s THEIR loss. I’ll make my own fun!” #Books
Watching Cardano take off, while hodling my Algorand. I had enough scratch to invest in one, and it’s looking like I might’ve chosen poorly. Still… HODL and see what happens. #Crypto
Heard this one again the other day: Adam was hanging around the garden of Eden feeling very lonely... God asked him, "What's wrong with you?" Adam said he didn't have anyone to talk to. God said that He was going to make Adam a companion and that it would be a woman. He said, "This pretty lady will gather food for you, she will cook for you, and when you discover clothing, she will wash it for you. She will always agree with every decision you make and she will not nag you,…
Found this nest with baby Mynah birds in one of the money-tree plants in the front yard. #Nature
No offense to Joy Louis, but I didn’t care for this book at all. I love moringa (malunggay, I’ve recently learned), but I just couldn’t get into this book. I’ll just take my leaves, throw them in whatever dish I want and eat them as I like. (Forgot to tag this in books, deleted it & tagged it to re-post.) #Books
Buy. The. Dip. This is the way. #Cryptocurrency
Full bloom red hibiscus, just outside of work. No filter, no adjustments. Shot on iPhone. #FlowersPhotography
Don’t know if there’s a graffiti channel yet, but I didn’t create any of this graffiti, I just took a photo of this wall where kids have been allowed to practice their art, up in Hau’ula
Baby shama thrush fell from its nest the other day. We were a little concerned it’d get crushed, so the kiddos used a spatula-spoon and put it in a towel in our mail package crate. In the morning, here she was. Still being fed by mom and waiting for her next meal
Baby shama thrush, awake and waiting for food #BlackWhitePhotography
Pua kenikeni (or Fagraea berteroana)… too bad I cannot capture the perfume with a photograph! #FlowersPhotography
Pua kenikeni, day two. Some are yellowing, and some are still yet to bloom. Their perfume fills the air.
