Hello, ArtPark Fam! Few days ago I had a commission request from my good friend and client for an impressionism painting. I could not be more excited and nervous at the same time. For a artist who is very meticulous when it comes to the detail I place in my painting, I may find it a challenge. I remember the line from a film entitled "Clueless" where the character of Alicia Silverstone describes a girl as a "full on monet" where "from far away, it's OK, but up close, it's a big ol' mess". I'm not Claude Monet but I actually took offense on that comment. Monet's work is not a mess up close, it's the what comprises and characterizes the art movement that is Impressionism, it's not meant to portray the image up close but that does not mean that it's a mess. That being said, since then I became meticulous of my work and wanted it to look good up close and from a far. Wow... I typed too much! Haha! Sorry about that. Anyways, here's the underpainting of my commission art and I'm excited to share the process with you all in the upcoming days. Much love. ❤️
