Good morning, Art Park fam! ❤️ Sharing with you my color palette for today. 🎨 I like to pre-mix all of the colors I'll probably be using before I start painting to save time. It can be quite time consuming to mix the colors and to color match them to the reference before I can get to start, but the benefit of having to mix colors before hand will save you time as you plot and blend the colors on to your canvas as you paint. Another great thing about having to premix your oil paint is it will help you achieve consistency and uniformity in your shadows and highlights as you go on with your painting. It will greatly save you time as you proceed with your painting as well. ❤️ I used my custom glass palette for this one and a palette knife to mix the colors. I wish you all a productive day! 🎨🥰

You are such a pro, miss April! This looks beautiful. That's something I doubt it can be done with acrylics because they're fast drying.
Thanks for the love as always ❤️🤗 but I still believe that I have a lot of things to improve on as well. 🥰❤️ I admire acrylic painters because acrylics dry quickly so they have to work fast. I also love their ability to be able to blend the colors directly on to their canvas or work surface. I believe there are medium for acrylic to alter their drying time but I rarely see acrylic painters use them. A lot of people have been suggesting that I try acrylics too. My husband bought me an acrylic set as a gift and I'm excited to try them out soon. ❤️
That's the focus, miss April, as pro as you are, you must to keep learning 🌈 Indeed, there are several methods for alter the drying time of acrylic paint. Spray water on the canvas (even the reverse), applying gesso, dilute them if it's able... Some artists prepare their canvas but don't talk about it 🤷 You should try them. It is always nice to try new art supplies 💛
