Would you rather read than watch? Are you one of those people who'd rather read than watch? I AM! So, I decided to do something about it. I will post summary and/or recaps of movies and series that I loved to watch to allow people who'd rather read than watch appreciate the story even more. Hope I make it work ^_^

The Lenten Season So its the middle of the Lenten Season and next week is already the Holy Week. I am always awed by people who change face whenever the Lenten Season arrives. They tend to be more giving and try at the very least to be better people, well, just because it is Lent. The Lenten Season is a time for prayer, fasting and alms giving. The money we save from our fasting is thought to be given to the poor. Our parish has provided parishioners with "Lenten Bags" so as to allow them the chance to really "save their money" This will be given to the church for its pastoral and social action programs. It is such a wonderful pleasure to see people giving as much as they can to this cause. As I said, this is the time when people are more generous of their treasures and even talents for the church and the poor. However little they, we are able to give, when joined together becomes large, and large enough to accommodate the programs that it will be provided for. I have never imagined my life will be filled with church responsibilities and activities. But here is where God decided to put me. And this Lenten season, I am reminded more and more of why I am here and why I agreed to be here. I thank the Lord always for the gift of service and of people who have become an important fixture in my life. I pray that God continues to give us the heart for service and continue to let the fire in our hearts grow and may we learn to trust each other even more.
Today I'm feeling apathetic... I feel like just lying down in bed, and dwell in this cloudy sky I'm currently in. But I'm trying to fight it, trying to quiet it down and get down to what I need to do. I look at my computer screen and see only a white blank space with nothing in my mind to fill it with... I'm trying my best to live each day, day to day and make the most out of the 24 hours I am given. But for now, I know I need to push myself and that's what I'm trying to do
starting over again... I've been gone for a while, but hopefully I'm back and with full force... Wish me luck
On Writing and Writer's Block I have been writing all my life, from high school to elementary and even on to College, although my course wasn't about writing. My mom wouldn't let me take up that course... Anyways, I have written for fun and have written for pay. Writing for pay burned out my creativity and so it has become an effort to write something just for fun. Yes. Imagine that. So, I call that writer's block. When I look at blank page, both online and offline, things start to tick off in my head on what I need or want to write, but when I see them on screen or on paper. I tend to click select all and delete or if on paper, crumple the darned thing. I feel that the work is so subpar, it makes my eyes water. I cannot find the flowery words no more. But these days, during the pandemic and the lock downs when no one is allowed to go out I realized that writing has been my avenue to vent out all my frustrations and so I write. Mundane, senseless things. Even grammatically wrong passages. I just write and write and write. Well, eh... type and type and type. Just to let all the steam out, let all the energy out, bad or good vibes. I just type it all out. Whatever comes into my mind I type and get to read. Then I become my own editor, correcting out those that needed them. After I've spent my time writing all those mundane, "silly" stuff. I begin to write out the more "serious" writing. If I need to write a story or an article, if I finish a paragraph. I'm happy. At least there is progress in my writing. Unlike when I push myself to write out what I need to write and just end up deleting or crumpling paper. Allowing myself the chance to vent off and let off steam. I find myself becoming more productive and I am able to write what I need to after giving myself the space. If I'm all written out (ha! is that a term?) I read books, both fiction and non-fiction again to refresh my creative juices and allow my mind to roam around words and then I can write some more. I find myself being able to complete a whole story or an entire article (like this one!) I hope that this continue to help me and maybe help others too. When our mind seems to go out on its own chaos and won't allow us to focus on what needs to be written. Let it go and allow it that opportunity. You will be healthier for it. I know I am. ^_^
Community Pantries, Good or Bad? Someone started it, with the greatest idea in mind, to share with others what you have and allow others to share what they have with you. A noble idea indeed. Community Pantries have brought out the best and the worst in people. Our parish started it also with the help of some of our parishioners who's interested in helping others. It began as a simple idea to help but soon blossomed into a big thing. When people from our community learned of our endeavor, they started to send their own donations for the cause. Soon, more and more people send in their donations... but also more and more people lined up. People from everywhere, even beyond our parish's mission areas came in for a little piece of the pantry's pie. But the pantry bringing out the best in people, those who tirelessly donate and give to the pantry, allowing us to help more and more people, also brought out the worse in people. When we started regulating the line. Trying to keep repeaters from coming in daily and making them follow the IATF safety protocols of wearing face shields, face masks and observing physical distance. Some got mad with the volunteers for meddling with the system, some got mad because they wanted to line up everyday. Some even went as far as swear at the volunteers, post hate posts on social media tagging the volunteers. Some even accuse the volunteers of hugging all the goods and taking it all for themselves. It is sad when all the volunteers work hard with no pay and minimal help. I mean, they do get their share of the goods but contrary to popular belief, they don't get to get from the pantry every day. We have been at this pantry for around 23 days already and it is becoming quite difficult to continue the work, the volunteers are tired but still willing and ready to help. We just hope that the beneficiaries of the pantry will also learn to appreciate the work of the volunteers. I pray that as we near the end of this pantry, and as one of our guest priest in our fiesta Mass have said, we should see the face of Jesus not only in the benefactors but in the beneficiaries as well. *(c) Pictures owned by Parroquia De La Nuestra Señora dela Paz Y Buen Viaje*

Living With My In Laws I've been married 20 years now, and for the most part, I've been content with the life I've had. One thing is my bane, I can say, is that for all this time I've been living with my in-laws. In our house, there's a total of 12 people. My mother-in-law, my unmarried sister-in-law, my husband's nephew who's around 22 years old now. My other sister-in-law, her husband and 2 kids (22 and 20 yrs old, girl and boy) and my own family. My husband, myself and our two children. Plus an overall helper who's their distant cousin. so you can imagine the *chaos* our house is generally always in, factor in 2 dogs and 2 cats, so the house is always in disarray. I don't have nightmares over my in-laws. They are generally good people and we tolerate each other well, but as we are but human, there are times when a difference of opinion occurs and we don't have a shout fest or anything like that, mainly because I really don't answer back when they push their opinions on me. I tend to stay quiet and just let them voice out their opinion regardless of how different they are from mine. The thing with them is, you're only right when you're on their side, if not, then regardless, you are wrong. So I tend not to argue with them and just keep my opinion to myself. But yeah, it simmers and boils inside me until I'm about ready to burst. I know I can't say anything because that will mean *war.* You know what I mean, so I will just cry and let the tears carry away my hurt. I realize now that those things can be a heavy baggage to carry. For 20 years, I have carried it with me. Having no opinion, having no voice in any matter. Having to have everyone else approve of any plans before I can push through with anything. It is indeed a heavy baggage, especially for someone like me who's well opinionated in a lot of things. Anyways, living with my in-laws although not an easy street to manage has given me a lot of lessons and even though, my plans have adjusted now, to include leaving this house which I've made my home for 20 years instead of just renovating our space within, I am thankful for the opportunity to grow because of them. The opportunity to mature and learn to handle my emotions and expand my understanding for those who do not share nor agree with my thoughts and opinions. I will forever be thankful for the chance to expand my self by holding on to my temper when things don't go towards the direction I hope. I choose to look at things in a different angle and just learn to be grateful for the life I have lived here and for the lessons I have learned. But I am also honest enough to admit that it will be a wonderful goodbye when I finally bid adieu to this house I can never call home.
I feel like such a fraud... Smiling for everyone but deep inside I am broken. So broken I'm not sure I can still be mended... I feel trapped in the world I am in, yearning to get out but no where to go... I know I need help, but I don't know where to turn...
My Crypto Journey I started my crypto journey with Bitcoin. Indeed, I've been here a long time but procrastination, laziness, bad publicity, a lot of adversity and people against it and well, to be honest, unbelief hasn't gotten me anywhere. I started way back when it was, maybe around 300USD, and it has jumped to thousands and thousands of dollars. You see when I started, it was only bitcoin, no other cryptocurrency around, or if there were I wasn't aware. Anyways, a lot of people were telling me that it was a fad and that it won't go no where. So believing them, I stopped. Then time went on and it reached 1k and I was saying, OMG, I shouldn't have stopped. So I started at it again. I am not a trader, I'm not good with numbers and I really didn't have a lot of cash to spare to play with trading. So I did mostly faucets, some free mining and pay-to stuff, it was a lot of work for very little pay. so as I said, laziness, procrastination pushed me to stop, yet again. And then I got "real" work and concentrated on that. Then it jumped to 3k, and I'm noticing other cryptos going around. I got pumped and tried again. Problems besieged and I stopped again. It was like that all throughout my bitcoin journey and honestly, now I think I'm too late for my bitcoin revolution. So now, I'm concentrating all my energy towards earning BCH. I think now is the right time for it. Its not too low but not too high, just enough and the fees are not sky rocketing as well, so I have set my mind to it and this time, I'm not going to let any thing or any body stop me. I have to believe that this is it! I know that this is it. I know that I will make it this time and make this a full time living.
It's been a while read cash fam... sorry been busy offline... tons of work to be done, there's still a few lose ends that I need to tie but hopefully I can be online and writing more these next few days.. keep our fingers crossed ^_^

Fallacy - Chapter 2 Unknown to Leia, Jack Garlan on the other hand was very curious as to who this Benjamin Archibald is, after all he became his fiercest rival in a short amount of time, a feat not easily accomplished in their field. He is quite interested to get to know this very elusive person. He had his secretary book an appointment but all he got is his top architect, Leia Larombe, Carlson Larombe’s daughter from when he was still young. Martina Larombe, Carlson’s wife although beautiful cannot have children, so Carlson was given free reign in acknowledging Leia but of course, with restrictions. Martina, although tolerant of Leia, is very clear that she is not her daughter and everyone in society knows it. Hence acceptance of Leia in society is only at best, half in half. “So, where is this boss of yours?” Jack asked Leia. “He’s a very busy man, sir”, Leia answered him. “Aside from Ben Archi, he has other businesses, mostly outside of the country. I don’t even know where he is half the time.” she smiled. “He’s rarely ever here and he has given me authority over any transactions for Ben Archi. He knows I’m good and trusts me to do my job.” “Is that so?” Jack said. Leia simply nodded. “Anyways, what can I do for you?” It was Leia’s turn to ask. “I’m sure you didn’t make an appointment to make small talk?” Jack regarded her for a moment and said, “Well, I really just wanted to meet your boss and finally get to know my best rival.” Leia smiled and thought, “You’ve already met her.” She said instead, “Oh sir, your firm is still the best and the biggest in our field. We are merely a small company trying to do business.” “You are too modest.” Leia laughed. “Not at all sir,” she said. “Just being honest. Since we are here, let’s have lunch. I was given the go signal, to treat you to lunch.” she said, smiling sweetly. “Well, my dear,” Jack said. “I will not say no to a free lunch.” Leia smiled and motioned for the waiter. They gave their orders to the waiter and while waiting to be served, Leia said, “So, sir. I am also free to answer all your queries about Ben Archi, did you want to know something about us?” “Nah, I already know about your firm.” he said. “I really wanted to get to know your boss. Find out his secret,” Jack said, wiggling his eyebrows. “Secret? What secret?” Leia asked him. “How he got so far, so fast, without anybody getting to know him,” he said. “Well, except for you maybe.” Leia had to laugh at that. She was ready for these kinds of questions. “As I said, he’s very busy,” she started. “He’s almost always out of the country and he communicates with me thru email when he’s out of the country.” she continued. “He believes in me and trusts me to do right for the company. I think so far, I’ve done a good job and he has nothing to worry about.” she completed. Jack nodded. “I agree, you are indeed doing a good job. “Yes sir,” she continued, “You know it sir.” And then she played her ace. “You know very well my status. And Mr. Archibald’s absence in the country is to my advantage. I have no reason to convince him to spend time here. For now, he’s busy with his stuff abroad. He doesn’t have time for my personal drama, you know” she continued. “He saw me for my talents, my abilities. I know I have proven myself to him, without the shadow of my father over me. If and when he decides to stay here and finally find out all that garbage. I’m hoping I have proven myself enough that it wouldn’t be something he would even take a second look upon.” she ended her tirade. Jack nodded, looking like he finally understood. “I guess I know where Ben Architecture’s success comes from.” He said. “It’s actually from you and not from him. Why didn’t you apply at my firm before?” “Actually, I did,” she countered. “But your HR manager didn’t think I was good enough for your firm.” “What!?” he was shocked. “I would have to talk to Gerard about that.” “You do that sir.” she said. Their order finally arrived and they ate in comfortable silence. At the end of their meal, Jack extended his hand, “Well, Ms. Larombe. It has been quite a revealing afternoon.” “Nice to meet you too Mr. Garlan,” she accepted his hand. ~To Be Continued ~ ===================================== Read Chapter 1 here: https://read.cash/@kinchai/fallacy-chapter-1-6383c978
Fallacy - Chapter 1 Ben Architecture is one of the biggest and most reputable architecture firms in the country and Leia is their top architect, she conquered projects left and right and Ben Archi will be a fool to let her go, a lot of people speculated. A few days back, it was rumored that Ben Archi’s top architect will be leaving the firm, as she was offered a bigger job with all the trimmings with Ben Archi’s top rival, Jack Consulting, but little did they know that it was all a farce. Nobody knew that it was all her, that there wasn’t any Ben, but in a world of men, no woman would survive, let alone Leia, illegitimate daughter of one of the top businessmen in the country. She had a lot to prove but not a lot of room to prove it on. Being already talented and smart on her own, she still studied hard, so she graduated at the top of her class. She thought it was enough, being that smartest girl aside from being the hardest worker, the stigma of being illegitimate, was something she can never live down. Her colleagues always questioned her abilities, looking down on her, always waiting for her to make a mistake. So she decided to put up her own firm, but she knew that if she put her name on the door, no one would come in. Hence, the birth of Ben Architecture, its elusive owner, Benjamin Archibald, slowly built a reputation for the best designs and quick work. No one has actually seen Ben, rumors milled around on what he looked liked. Ranging from being the most handsome guy in the field to being an ugly dwarf. Leia secretly laughs at this, because Ben’s a mere illusion, a figment of her imagination, one she came up with while building her firm. But he is fast becoming a name to be reckoned with when it comes to architectural designs. He is the best! No one ever seemed to mind that they haven’t seen him. As long as *he* gets the job done, no one seems to mind that he is an absentee contractor. Quality work within the time frame and with reasonable pricing, who can ask for more, right? So she is quite confident that no one would push into meeting him as long as she gets the work done and she exudes professionalism when representing him. *~To Be Continued ~*
Dream Catcher... I had a dream about my grandmother. My dad's mom. She passed away when I was in High School. She got sick and she slowly but surely faded away until finally she was gone. She was the only grand parent I know since my grand father from both sides died before I was born and the grandmother from my mom side also passed away before I entered into this world. Anyways, I often dream of her, I would often kid myself that I don't know why. But part of me thinks its because of the guilt I felt when she passed on. She was in and out of the hospital and during that day, it was our family's turn to care for her at the hospital, since mom and dad had to work, our nanny was chosen to be with her at the hospital. I came home early from school and she asked me to come with her on her "duty" with my grandma. I feigned tiredness and didn't go with her and a few hours after that, she came home crying since my Lola had already passed away. I really felt the shame of not being able to go to her and that she died with only the nanny with her. No family. I should have been there if I wasn't so lazy. I should have been there and have been with her on her last hours... minutes... seconds. I felt so guilty and from time to time, I would still feel the same. I think that its my guilt that's making me dream of her and my inability to forgive myself for that mistake. Time and again I would berate myself that I should already forgive myself, I have asked for forgiveness from her for a very long time and I know deep inside that she already did and that I'm just punishing myself for feeling sad or miserable whenever I would think of her. I know she wouldn't want that, wouldn't want me to be sad. Howells, I hope that one day, I might dream of her still but I wouldn't wake up with my heart trying to escape my chest and me not breaking out in sweat or me in tears. I love her and I do miss her still even after all these years...

My Favorite Childhood Vacation Looking for a writing prompt, I came across the topic... Your favorite childhood vacation. A quick scan of my mind cannot fathom a favorite vacation, I had to dig deep inside my mind for the memory. And what I remember is not your typical vacation. We never spend weeks away from our home. We would go to this river in a nearby province and spend the day there, oh, half the day there. We would leave our house mid-morning and arrive just before lunch and go home in the afternoon and that was it, then back to grind of normal life. I remember we would go there because it was near, we didn't have to travel very far. And it was cheap. We didn't have to pay all that much for the entrance fees or the cottage or table we will put our stuff in. Also, It wasn't a clean river, you gasp in awe of the clear waters and it wasn't very deep and during the summer season there would be a lot of people and it would be crowded since the river ain't that large. So you'd bump into someone at every other turn. But what I remember most would be the delicious food, our mom would have our maid cook. Chicken pork adobo that's almost dried up and the simple stuff like hotdogs and tocino. We do this almost every year, every Good Friday as it was the only time our retail store was closed. Everyone will come with us. My siblings, our household help and even the helpers at the store. Sometimes my cousins would come or some other relatives and my dad's closest friends. Yeah, I'd be the first to admit I didn't have a religious family and we never really celebrated or gave much thought to the Holy Days of the Church. I also recall All Saint's Day, Nov. 1 when we will visit the cemetery for our dead. It was like a party and a reunion. We will spend the whole day in the cemetery. Most family members will be there. Aunts, Uncles, cousins to the nth degree. Everyone out to visit the dead. There will be lots of food and even booze. We will stay at the cemetery until the night time. The adults, mom, dad, aunts, uncles, older cousins will play cards while the younger ones will try to fly a kite, the cemetery is an open space and it was windy, so it was a great time to go fly a kite. When late afternoon will come, some of my older cousins would start telling ghost stories especially to the younger ones, like me! And we would all get scared and the adults will scold them for scaring us! It's not a vacation but these two times of the year are the only times when the family would spend an entire day together and be with other members of the family. So, my life wasn't your typical life perhaps. But I made do with the one I have and those times spent at the river and in the cemetery were some of the best days of my life. Although, I cannot honestly say that it was a lot of time. it was the best that I got.

ShadowHunters, A Good Watch? Yeah, I have been watching Shadow Hunters The Mortal Instruments on Netflix for a few weeks now and finally I've finished the series... At first it didn't really interest me when I watched the first few episodes but I was looking for something to watch and since I've started it already, I decided to go right ahead and just watch it. I got hooked a bit I would admit, wanting to know what happens next... Although there are some boring parts and some parts where you go like, oh really, or like oh I knew he was gonna do that or I knew that was going to happen. I also believed that the main character would be Clary and Jace, but their story really got boring so quickly, you know the usual stuff. What got me interested was Magnus and Alec's, I don't want to go into the politics of whatever, but just simply stating a fact, I'm really not into the same gender relationship but I found myself rooting for them and I'm amazed at the greatness of the actors because both of them are not gay and actually have wives... It was a role and they did it with gusto! I know that Harry Shum Jr, was even asked it he was actually gay in real life, he said no. I just really love it. And for someone who's really not into that, well, that's something. The story line leaves some room for improvement there are some loopholes that were left unsealed, some plot lines that weren't exploited or elaborated on that could have made for a more interesting watch. And the ending, it really left a lot to be desired. Like they weren't ready for the series to end but unfortunately got cancelled in the middle, so many stones left unturned, yeah but what can we do, cancelled it was. But overall it was a good watch, not a great watch but good enough to spend time on especially if you're into magic and all that stuff. You can play with your imagination and hit it up where you would have wanted the story to go. Do you like to watch some series too? I know we have many who are k-drama fans, I like them too and have watched a few, but when you're busy with some stuff, it's hard when you have to read to understand the story, so I really watch Korean Series when I have time to focus on them, other wise I go for the English or Filipino series, so I can understand even when my eyes are not focused on the screen. Do you have an interesting series you can suggest that I watch, feel free to list 'em and I'll let you know if I took you up on your offer and watched.

Feb 18, 2021 Another Dear Diary Story A few days ago, we celebrated Valentines Day. And as expected, nothing special was done for the day. Me and my hubby, well, we don't have that kind of relationship... Ha ha ha.. My friends were asking me where we went and I said, home. It's just another day... Yes, it would have been fun to go out and celebrate, but thing is, we are always together. We both work from home and spend most of our days together. We do most everything together. We eat together, we go out together, even for the most mundane task, we'd go together if work will permit. We even laughed at some of the memes we saw on the other social network about two toilets in one room and said it was perfect for us so we can p**p together. LOL. https://memes.com/m/KwEZojX-B8V That's us... So, going out to celebrate doesn't make a lot of sense for us, if you get my drift. When we are almost always together and already do those stuff together. But, yeah, I'm still a girl and one who would love a little token from time to time especially when its that time of the year... A time to celebrate love, but well, that's not my blessing it would seem. During these times, I refrain from looking at social media posts since if I look at my friends on social media and see them receiving various trinkets, chocolates, flowers and sometimes I get this tinge of jealousy and I sometimes wish that my hubby were more thoughtful, that he'd think of surprising me with a gift from time to time, but as I said maybe those types of stuff isn't for me. If I want something, I should just go and buy myself some. But when I think of what he does for me, drives me wherever I need to go, if I need to go anywhere at all and waits for me until I'm done with any errand, he prepares breakfast for me, takes care of me when I don't feel good. All those little things. And I wouldn't exchange that for all the trinket in the world, not many wives can say that about their husbands and some may even get it worse. Howells, the cards will lay where they fall and I'm happy with where I am but sometimes, just sometimes, you get to wishing for something else, not really different but envy and jealousy can really bring you somewhere you don't need to be going and it just makes you feel really bad when you don't have to. Well, folks, that's all I have for today. Thank you for your patience.

ReadCash: For The Love of Writing I have always been a writer, even when I was in High School, I was already writing, simple stories, poetry, scripts for our school plays, writing has always been a part of me, but my confidence has never been boosted, never admitting that I did the writing. Pretending that my sister or some other person did the writing. I was silly wasn't I? And as I grew older I continued writing, mainly for my own enjoyment and a few for some close friends, until finally I was able to earn from it. It became my bread and butter, I wrote about many different topics, from the most difficult to the mundane and I wallowed in it, took pride in my work but I couldn't put my name on it, as it was commissioned work, but it was okay, I was well compensated for it but as more and more online freelancers learned the business, it has become less and less lucrative. as especially as some group of people are willing to accept all but loose change for a gig. But I continued to hope, continued to persist that I can still find a good gig to pursue and make enough from. I'm hoping that read cash and noise cash plus Hive can be a good mix for that. I am slowly growing here and I hope to continue to grow and earn greatly. I am glad to have this opportunity. I am glad to be able to write again. I am happy to be. I'm slowly moving back into writing, getting my groove back. I admit that writing for keywords and for the sake of it has taken its toll on my creativity. But with a little more prompting, a little more practice I know I'm going to get it. I'm going to get my old groove back and be able to write more precisely and with more gusto than a few words that doesn't make a lot of sense. Just mere stories told to pass the time. Watch out, I'll get there just yet!

Appreciating Our Past to Live For a Better Future Each one of us has a past. We can either love it or we can hate it, but no matter how it was, it always has a way of influencing how we live our life today. Do you believe that? We can blame it for all the wrong that is happening or has happened in our lives or we can commend it for all the right that is happening. No matter how you look at it, whether you admit it or not, it has a way of shaping the way we see our lives today and how we view success in our life. I believe in God. A big disclaimer I think since I know that not all believes, but I pray that one day, everyone will be enlightened. But my thoughts in ideas like these are centered on that belief. I believe that God has a plan and that God allows challenges in our lives so that we may grow and draw closer to Him. We may not always appreciate this idea, we may want to cling to the misery, the sorrow and either blame God for what is happening or blame ourselves for the misery we find ourselves in. Sometimes, it is easier to do that. Easier to get caught up in wallowing. I’m not saying that your grief is not real nor is it not valid because it is. Allow yourself the grief, the misery, BUT ONLY FOR A WHILE. As I’ve said it’s easy to get caught up in the wallowing. In staying where you are, BUT and that's a big BUT, if we are to succeed in life, we have to learn to stand up, to dust ourselves off and try again. Failure is actually an option. I have seen captions, posts in social media, that says, *failure is not an option!* But thing is, it actually is, we are human, we are allowed to fail, it is in failing that we learn and we grow and we realize the mistakes and make haste not to do it again. So failure is an option, but we are not allowed to give up! Okay? Sometimes we feel like we are the only ones who are suffering, sometimes we feel like the weight of the world is on our shoulders. Yes, sometimes, you can feel that. But whenever I feel like that, or I feel like giving up. I look upon Jesus. How He had suffered for me, for us. How he had endured, he could have given up. He could have *“saved himself”* but he didn’t. He chose to suffer for us. How much has He endured to fulfill his mission. How could I complain? When I haven’t even borne a quarter of what He has borne! When I think about that, when I realize that, my perception changed. When I realized that the reason he suffered was because of me, for me. I can’t give up. I focus my thoughts on Jesus and how He had lived and died and rose again to his victory. I realize that He doesn't want me to be in this pothole, that He has destined me for bigger, better things. I am destined for victory! Even though I might have suffered, even though I might have felt pain. I know that I have victory, I need only to believe and persevere, my prize awaits me... Thanks for taking the time to read.
Letter to My 14 Year Old Self Woah! You’re 14 already, 2nd year High School and in a new school at that. Okay, so you’ve made mistakes at your previous school, no harm, no foul. You’re better off in this new school. No body knows you. You can be anyone you want to be. So be the best you can be. So, the best thing to do is keep a low profile. There will be people there who won’t like you and think you’re a show off, but don’t mind them. Study well. Attend your classes regularly, you will be tempted to cut class but don’t, that will be a downfall. So, you know you’re beautiful right? And now you’re blooming, coming of age. Please don’t mind the boys for now, there’ll be plenty of them at the right time. Yes, they will flock but listen to dad, and don’t make time for them yet. Listen to your parents but don’t let mom dictate your life. You will make your own path. So if you can, just insist on going your way in College and take the course you like the best. Mom will try to persuade you otherwise, but follow your heart. You’re still young and life has so much to offer you. So enjoy it but enjoy it with responsibility. I know you feel out of place sometimes, but worry not, you’ll find your own special niche soon enough... Keep in mind that you don’t need anyone to love you. Learn to love yourself wholly. Don’t go looking for love, it will find you. Learn to be content and happy where you are. You are worth it. You are everything you ever want to be and more. Remember that and you will be okay.
Dear Diary It's been sometime since I wrote/typed those words. It has always seem personal and something one don't want to share. I agree though that a diary can be a big help to one's psych. it allows for thoughts to flow freely without prejudice and it helps one assess the mind. So I decided to join this Community and begin writing to a diary anew. I'm not sure how good it would be or how helpful it will be to others but I'm hopeful that somehow it will be helpful for me. Today wasn't a bad day, but it wasn't a good day either. It's already late and I know I have to sleep soon because I have service tomorrow. I am a lector at church and our Mass is at 7am, so need to be there early. 630 at the latest, much earlier if I can but 630 is a good time. But I do need to wake up at 530 so I can take a bath and prepare myself for reading, and its streamed on FB so I need to look good lest I find myself plastered online and looking icky! LOL. Anyways, I feel blah today, I'm not sure if its the meds I took, allergy meds since I felt the itching of an allergy in my face the other night. I was feeling sleepy yesterday and today, so its been two days, so I'm not sure if its just the meds or something else that's making me feel so down today. I spent most of the afternoon just laying in bed half asleep. I wanted to write an article for this platform and be more active in the other, plus do my faucets. But I really wasn't feeling up to it. I just really wanted to do absolutely nothing. I'm feeling the pressure of the bills and the insufficient funds to do stuff. I'm pissed that my husband doesn't seem to be bothered. But I definitely am. I'm feeling it so bad that I'm feeling down worrying when part of me knows that this is happening because of the worrying... I just wish that one day soon, I don't have to worry about it and not worry about not having enough. I know I need to focus my strength on what I can do now and not worry about what I cannot do and believe that one day I will be able to do all that I want... One day, one day soon and it will all be better...
Friendships and All Those Things Okay, I have always been the friendly type, although, most first impressions I get is that I'm not, that I am a snob and I am serious. For most part, I am serious when it comes to serious stuff, like work and things that needs to be done, but outside of work, I may not be as funny as some, but I'd like to think I'm fun to be with and I can get along with most anyone, even those that are snobbish, I find I can get along with. I believe I'm smart enough to bring something to any conversation, and as I said, most people are shocked when they get to talk to me and they realize that I am easy to talk to. Sad to note is that I don't have many friends. Ever since I got married, my life had revolved around my family, my husband and my 2 kids. Since I have worked from home since I had a difficult first pregnancy I don't have a lot of avenue to make new friends. I have a couple of friends who I had since around College who are still friends but since we live so far apart, our lives are so different now and don't get me wrong, when we see each other, its like time and space doesn't exist, we pick up where we left off, but those meetings are few and far between. We are all busy with our own lives and we don't get to spend as much time as we would want. Now come an opportunity to have friends when I started becoming active in our parish. I've met a few people, but none have come close to really become friends. All our just passing acquaintances. No one who started to get to know me in depth. Before the pandemic started, our parish priest has placed me in a position of note in our church and a lot of people had started noticing me. I felt the difference on how they interact with me. Some curious as to who I am, everybody jockeying to get to know me, for the most part, I think it was because I hold that particular position and they believe that I can give something for them 's why they are always around hoping to have a piece of the pie. I'm having a hard time trying to find people I can be really friends with. Those who don't have an agenda in mind. those who will just be my friend for the sake of being my friend. I miss having someone to talk to and just to have fun with. I feel hurt when someone would message me in chat just because they need something or would like to ask for a favor I can give. Sometimes, its hard to filter people and find those without their agenda in mind... Right now, I think I found a few, who I am starting to consider as friends. I hope that one day, they will really find me as someone who they can be friends with and not just someone who can give them something. They are starting to get to know me and I them. I hope the time will come when I can be who I am with them and can feel right at home. Right now, its a budding friendship I hope will turn into a real lasting friendship. How about you? Do you have a lot of friends? Or just a few you really treasure?
A Quick Introduction Hello there! Its such a pleasure to be here. I am Cynthia Sorrera, my friends call me Chai, so please feel free to do so as well. I am writer at heart and now by profession as well. I have been writing since I was in High School and feel like this is my special niche in this world. And so I trudge on and write. I would have to admit that there are times when I encounter that hated block that seems to hinder most every writer, I know that this world is where I belong. I am a few years shy of half a century and I realized that I have allowed the mundane things of this world get the better of me. I have let go of my dream of becoming a writer and an artist as I do love to draw as well. But now that I have come to this age. I realized that I cannot let the world dictate how I live my life. So here I go, trying to live my life by my own rules, with some success but hopefully with a lot more to come. I have written short stories in English and in my own native tongue and mostly for the entertainment of friends. I aim to write a book or two before I eventually leave this planet. Although, truthfullly, I’m still a bit confused, if you would allow me to use the term, about what to really write about. As I have had experience in writing fiction, I feel like that’s where I am most creative at, weaving stories and allowing ‘em to take flight. I would also like to write something about faith, positivitiy, empowerment, and become a beacon of hope for those who need it, to be able to help friends reach their highest potential and at the very least, have the courage to reach for their dreams and dare achieve it. I realized now, that I can do that through story-telling but my concern is if it will be as believable if it looks fiction. Anyways, I believe read.cash can be a great platform for me. To be able to share my content with people and hope for some feedback. Perhaps this can be my testing ground and see if my ideas will take flight and become what I hope it will be or help me propel it to even greater heights. I also hope to find a few friends here who can assist me in my journey while I hope to assist in theirs. So here’s to us! Let us journey and grow together and write on!
