My brother is the best photographer & story-teller I know, and he does his magic with just his smartphone (Xiaomi). Telling stories of the Nigerian people in different States through the lens of a smartphone camera for 5 years and counting! I've been very busy these past weeks, but surely before this week runs out I will put out an article of this best works and link-back to his Instagram page. Man's a Gem 💎!

I'm pessimistic. Actually very pessimistic. Like, a scenario may pop-up now and within 2 milliseconds I'm thinking about everything that could ever go wrong. Then I try to identify them and be prepared on my part... instead of going "LeT's hOpE fOr tHe bEsT. eVeRyThInG WILL SURELY wOrKoUt fOr gOoD" yunno life is really funny and more than half the time life can be very brutal on us. Better I think "bad stuff will happen" and then the bad stuff actually happens.. (if good stuff happens instead, it's pure bliss, no cap). Than for me to think "good stuff will happen" and then bad sh×t happens instead.. (if good sh×t happens, it's pure bliss too, no cap). You see it's a win-win situation.

The Youth: Economic Development & Nation-Building Every nation which plans to move forward must first ensure her youths are adequately and positively engaged and involved in the task of nation-building. Youth involvement in a nation's economic growth/development is a very conscious topic of discussion because youths (more often than not) constitute more than half the population of every nation. Economic development of any country can be defined by the overall GDP growth, currency value stability, reduction in inflation rates, employment creations, stable security of lives & property of citizens and improved living conditions for the citizens of the country. **A youth is someone who is still at his years of activeness, with strength, energy, zeal and passion to become, achieve, belong and succeed**. A nation's prosperity is (to a large extent) dependent on how well her youths are given enough encouragement and freedom to contribute their quota towards achieving the common development goals of a nation. Youths are said to be the leaders of tomorrow but I am of the opinion that the youths have been leading for a long time though only on a subordinate level, manipulated by the powerful of the society to act in fulfillment of their selfish interests. During the stage of youthfulness, different kinds of personalities are moulded in the quest to attain affluence. therefore, it is important that the right resources are available to help redirect their energies rightly enroute the journey of life. Many youths who cannot get the needed resources tend to end up being influenced by peers, societal expectations and a host of other social vices. **Key Factors That Affects Youth Impacts on Economic Development & Nation-Building** **Education:** Adequate and standard educational system must be put in place to tutor and mentor the youths in all chosen career paths, setting tone for usefulness to self and the society, while pushing down chances of becoming threats to peace and stability. **Employment:** Properly organized job-creation schemes, entrepreneurial sponsorship programme and adequately equipped and functional skill acquisition venters, if put in place will do well to absorb the youths graduating from different educational fields, thereby giving little to no time for the youths to roam the streets, sit idle ta home or move into unscrupulous and fraudulent activities in order to earn a living for themselves. Many youths — especially in my country of residence, Nigeria — have been manipulated by politicians and other men of power into becoming instruments used to unleash mayhem and terror to perceived enemies and the society at large. Majority of the world crimes, corrupt practices and insecurity issues are perpetrated by youths; acts of terrorism are carried out by youths; arms and weaponry manufacturing are done hugely by youths which due to no attention, end up in wrong hands. Proper engagement of the youths will help to redirect their strengths to nation-building, legitimate wealth creations, talent pursuits and actualization while curbing insecurity, nuisance, idleness, currency value depreciation and inflation. The youths will continue to be assets of value to a nation's economic development because they possess enormous energy, need guidance, direction and motivation to channel their strengths to valuable and resourceful activities which will speed up a nation's general development and her global economy ratings; and when unattended, can cripple a nation's economy through corruption and insecurity.

Ventilation & Dead Space **VENTILATION** Ventilation, in respiratory physiology, is defined as the rate at which air enters or leaves the lungs; and it is divided into two (2) types: Pulmonary Ventilation Alveolar Ventilation **1.) Pulmonary Ventilation:** Pulmonary ventilation is also called **minute ventilation** or **respiratory minute volume**. It is the volume of air moving in and out of the respiratory tract in a given unit of time during quiet/calm breathing. It is a continuous cyclic process whereby fresh air enters the lungs and an equal volume of air leaves the lungs. In calculating Pulmonary Ventilation, **it is a product of Tidal Volume (TV) and the Rate of Respiration (RR)**. Its normal value is 6,000 mL/minute (6 L/minute). P.V = Tidal Volume x Respiratory Rate **2.) Alveolar Ventilation:** The amount of air used for gaseous exchange every minute is referred to as Alveolar Ventilation. It is different from Pulmonary Ventilation in the sense that out of the 6,000 mL of air that moves in and out of respiratory tract every minute in Pulmonary Ventilation, the whole volume of air is not utilized for gaseous exchange. In calculating Pulmonary Ventilation, Pulmonary Ventilation is given as the difference between Tidal Volume and Dead Space (we'll talk about this soon) multiplied by the Respiratory Rate. Its normal value is 4,200 mL/minute (4.2 L/minute). A.V = (Tidal Vol. — Dead Space) × Respiratory Rate **DEAD SPACE** This subheading sounds like something picked straight out of a Sci-fi movie, but well.. let's shift our mind away from that. **Dead space is simply the section of the respiratory tract where exchange of gases does NOT occur**. Air present in this section is referred to as **dead space air.** It is classified into two (2) types: Anatomical dead space Physiological dead space **1.) Anatomical Dead Space:** Anatomical dead space extends from nose up to terminal bronchiole. It includes nose, pharynx, trachea, bronchi and branches of bronchi up to terminal bronchioles. These structures serve only as the passage for air movement. Gaseous exchange does not take place in these structures. **2.) Physiological Dead Space:** Physiological dead space includes anatomical dead space and two additional volumes; Air in the alveoli, which are non-functioning. In some respiratory diseases, alveoli do not function because of dysfunction or destruction of alveolar membrane. Air in the alveoli, which do not receive adequate blood flow. Gaseous exchange does not take place during inadequate blood supply. These two additional volumes are generally considered as wasted ventilation, ie. the volume of air that ventilates physiological dead space. **Wasted air refers to air that is not utilized for exchange of gases** eg. Dead space air. Under normal conditions, physiological dead space is equal to anatomical dead space. The volume of normal dead space is 150 mL. All the alveoli are functioning and they receive adequate blood flow in normal conditions. Physiological dead space increases during respiratory diseases, which affect the pulmonary blood flow or the alveoli. **Measuring Dead Space: Nitrogen-Washout Method** This method involves a single breath nitrogen washout method. The subject breathes normally for a few minutes. Then, he takes a sudden inhalation of pure oxygen. Oxygen replaces the air in dead space (respiratory tract) i.e. the dead space air contains only oxygen and it pushes the other gases into alveoli. Now, the subject exhales through a nitrogen meter. Nitrogen meter shows the concentration of nitrogen in expired air continuously. First portion of expired air comes from upper part of respiratory tract which contains only oxygen. Next portion of expired air comes from the alveoli, which contains nitrogen. Now, the nitrogen meter shows the nitrogen concentration, which rises sharply and reaches the plateau soon. By using data obtained from nitrogen meter, a graph is plotted. From this graph, the dead space is calculated. The graph has two areas, area without nitrogen and area with nitrogen. The area of the graph is measured by a **planimeter** or by computer. **The area without nitrogen indicates dead space air.** The formula for calculating Dead Space is given as: **FURTHER READING:** *Respiratory Physiology: The Essentials* (2011) by John B. Apnea Surely at a time in our lives we've held our breathe — maybe as a random test to see how long we could hold it or to escape perceiving foul smells. **The cessation of breathing is generally termed Apnea** (British-English spelling: *Apnoea*). Literally, Apnea refers to the absence of breathing; however, it is widely defined as the **temporary arrest of breathing** and can be produced/initiated by will (obviously). How long you can long your breathe is known as your **Apnea Time**. Basically, it ranges from 40 - 60 seconds in a normal individual. But some (or most) people are able to hold their breathe even longer. **CLASSIFICATION OF APNEA** Apnea is clinically classified into three (3) types: Obstructive Apnea Central Apnea Mixed Apnea **1.) Obstructive Apnea** This type of Apnea may be easily understandable because of the word "obstructive". It is simply an apnea that occurs because of a blockage (obstruction) in the respiratory tract. It occurs predominantly due to excessive growth of tissues like tonsils. **Obstructive apnea is synonymous to Sleep Apnea**, and is commonly described as such. **Sleep Apnea** is the temporary arrest of breathing that occurs repeatedly during sleep, and it mostly affects overweight people. **A distinct feature of Sleep Apnea is loud snoring**; and as described above, it occurs mainly because of the obstruction of the respiratory tract (upper) by excess tissue growth in airway eg. large tissue or enlarged tonsils. Snoring, if left unnoticed or ignored, may lead to some life-threatening occurrences like stroke, hypertension, heart failure etc. **2.) Central Apnea** This type of Apnea occurs due to disorders of the brain (mostly when the respiratory venters in the brain are damaged/affected). It is typically a short pause in-between breathing and is seen in premature babies. **3.) Mixed Apnea** This is a type of apnea that occurs due to underdeveloped brain or respiratory system. It is a combination both Central and Obstructive apnea and is usually seen in premature babies & in infants. **CIRCUMSTANCES WHEN APNEA OCCURS** Voluntary effort. Apnea after hyperventilation. Deglutition apnea. Adrenaline apnea. **1.) Voluntary Effort:** Apnea can be induced by will, and this described as **Voluntary Apnea** or holding of breathe. The Apnea Time — How long you can long your breathe — can be increased by practice, consistent exercise and yoga. As we need oxygen for life, prolonged voluntary apnea is dangerous and thus at the end of voluntary apnea (breaking point), the subject is forced to breathe. **Apnea is always followed by Hyperventilation**. Without the inflow of Oxygen, Carbon dioxide accumulates in blood which stimulates the respiratory centers resulting in the need for Oxygen. Asides from increased carbon dioxide content in blood, hypoxia and high hydrogen ion concentration (low pH) are also responsible for stimulation of respiratory centers. **2.) Apnea After Hyperventilation:** During hyperventilation, more carbon dioxide is exhaled. Hence, partial pressure of carbon dioxide in the blood decreases and the number of stimuli to the respiratory centers also decreases, leading to apnea. During apnea, carbon dioxide accumulates in the blood.; when partial pressure of carbon dioxide increases, the respiratory centers are stimulated and respiration starts. **3.) Deglutition Apnea:** Deglutition is the action of passing food or liquid down the oesophagus/gullet; the act of swallowing. The arrest of breathing during deglutition is known as **swallowing apnea**. It occurs by reflex during the pharyngeal phase of deglutition (2nd phase). When food (bolus) is swallowed and pushed into the gullet from pharynx during pharyngeal phase of deglutition, there is possibility for the bolus to enter the respiratory passage through the larynx, causing serious health challenging scenarios like choking. This occurence is prevented by deglutition apnea, during which the backward movement of epiglottis closes the larynx. **4.) Adrenaline Apnea:** Adrenaline apnea is the apnea that occurs after injection of adrenaline. Administration of adrenaline produces marked increase in arterial blood pressure. It stimulates the baroreceptors, which in turn inhibit the vasomotor center and the respiratory centers by reflex action, resulting in a fall in blood pressure and then apnea. **FURTHER READING**: To read more on Apnea and find out detailed information, a good place to start is Wikipedia and some medical textbooks.

Colour-Blindness: some salient things you should know Being "colour blind" has been incorrectly described (commonly) as seeing stuff in black & white like in the 80's photographs, but this understanding is mostly wrong. Colour blindness is a medical condition characterized by the inability of the eye to recognize/acknowledge one or more colours. **It affects more males (8%) than females (0.4%)** due to the fact that it is an inherited sex-linked recessive character. It is worthy to note that total colour blindness (in this case, seeing stuff in plain black & white) is extremely rare. However, asides from hereditary, colour blindness can be acquired as a result of effects from external factors such as injury to the eye or even ocular diseases. **CAUSES OF ACQUIRED COLOUR-BLINDNESS** **1.) Chronic Diseases** Colour-blindness has been associated with quite a number of chronic diseases, some of which includes: Glaucoma Parkinson's disease Alzheimer's disease Leukaemia Diabetes Liver diseases etc. **2.) Excessive Use of Drugs/Medications** Too much of anything in life usually comes with side effects. Some drugs of which their excessive usage can cause or lead to onset of colour-blindness includes: Antibiotics. Antihypertensive drugs. Antituberculiosis drugs etc. **3.) Exposure to Toxins and Certain Substances** Some substances such as Carbon monoxide, Carbon disulphide or chemicals high in Lead concentration can be very dangerous to the eye. It is advised you stay away from them as much as possible, or use adequate protective equipments when handling them. **4.) Aging** The aging process is inevitable; as we grow older, our body's organs and systems tend to lose their efficiency due to the diminishing number of total cells in the body (and to a large extent, the effect of free radicals generated by oxidative stress in cells). Colour-blindness often occurs after 60 years of age as a result of various changes in the eye. **5.) Trauma** **6.) Alcoholism** **CLASSIFICATION OF COLOUR-BLINDNESS** There are three (3) main classes of colour blindness: Monochromatism Dichromatism Trichromatism **1.) Monochromatism** This is also called **achromatopia**. It is distinguished by the total inability to perceive colour; and thus it is commonly called Total colour blindness. Monochromatism is extremely rare (keyword: *extremely).* **Monochromats** — persons with monochromatism — see only in black, white and various shades of grey because the retina is completely insensitive to colour. It is subdivided into 2 types: Rod monochromatism and Cone monochromatism. **2.) Dichromatism** Dichromatism is the condition of colour-blindness whereby the person is able to perceive only two colours. Persons who suffer from Dichromatism are called **Dichromats**; they match the entire colour spectrum by two primary colours due to the defect of the receptor for the third primary colour. Dichromatism is subdivided into 3 types: **Protanopia** — There is defect in the receptor of the first primary colour - Red; thus red colour cannot be perceived. Blue & Green are used to match the colours and Red is confused with Green. Patients who have this specific type of Dichromatism are called **Protanopes**. **Deuteranopia** — There is defect in the receptor for Green. Thus Green colour cannot be perceived. Blue & Red are used to match the colours. Patients who have this specific type of Dichromatism are called **Deuteranopes**. **Tritanopia** — There is defect in the receptor of the third primary colour - Blue. Patients who have this specific type of Dichromatism — **Tritanopes** — use Red & Green to match colours; they cannot perceived blue colour. **3.) Trichromatism** Trichromatism is the colour-blindness in which the intensity of one of the primary colours is not fully perceived or appreciated. However, patients — **Trichromats** — are able to perceive all the three colours. Trichromatism is subdivided into 3 types: **Protanomaly** — Perception for red colour is weak; thus to really perceive/appreciate red, the person requires more intensity of red than a normal person (think of it as increasing the saturation, like in photo-editing) **Deuteranomaly** — In this type of Trichromatism, perception for Green colour is weak/low. **Tritanomaly** — Perception for blue colour is weak/low. **COLOUR-BLINDNESS TESTS** There are three (3) methods/tests for colour-blindness — **Ishihara Colour Charts**, **Edridge-Green Lantern** and **Holmgren Coloured Wool**. Detailed description of these tests can be found online in Wikipedia and a host of reputable medical journals.

Type-1 & Type-2 Diabetes: Understanding Their Differences No doubt we have an idea of what diabetes is; the symptoms and therapy/remedy for the disorder. Yet, some of us might have a hard time in grasping or differentiating Type-1 diabetes from Type-2 diabetes, and that's the aim of this article: To bring to your fingertips in 3 minutes or less, the differences between both types of diabetes. Diabetes is a disorder characterized by persistently high level of blood glucose (usually above the normal range of 110 - 140mg/dL). The level of glucose in the blood is regulated majorly by the actions of **insulin** and **glucagon** (pancreatic hormones). Insulin is also referred to as **the antidiabetogenic hormone**, as it greatly aids in reducing the blood-glucose level. As expected, the hormones which increases blood-glucose levels are referred to as **diabetogenic hormones.** **CLASSIFICATIONS and DIFFERENTIATIONS** Diabetes may be **Primary** or **Secondary**: **Primary diabetes** is a diabetes that is unrelated to another disease. **Secondary diabetes** is a diabetes that occurs due to damage or disease of the pancreas. It is under Primary diabetes that we have the recent classification of diabetes: Type-1 and Type-2 Diabetes. **1.) TYPE-1 DIABETES** This type of diabetes occurs due to the deficiency of insulin because of the destruction of Ɓ-cells of Islets of Langerhans. `B-cells of Islets of Langerhans are one of the 3 main types of cells that makes up the Islets of Langerhans, and they secrete insulin; the other types of cells are: A-cells (glucagon-secreting cells) and D-cells (somatostatin-secreting cells).` Type-1 diabetes is usually referred to as **insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM)**, as the patient require insulin injections. It usually manifests before 40years of age, though it may occur at any age of life. Its symptoms appear rapidly. Infants or children who develop Type-1 diabetes are said to have **juvenile diabetes.** Type-1 diabetes may be linked to acidosis (a clinical condition in which excess acid tends to cause increased concentration of Hydrogen-ions in the blood ie. low pH level) or ketosis (a clinical condition characterized by high concentration of ketone bodies in tissues); but is **NOT** associated with obesity. **Causes of Type-1 Diabetes** Destruction of Ɓ-cells of Islets of Langerhans by viruses. Congenital disorder of the Ɓ-cells. Degeneration of Ɓ-cells of Islets of Langerhans. In young individuals, Maturity Onset Diabetes, a rare inherited form of diabetes occurs before 25years of age due to hereditary defects in insulin secretion. **2.) TYPE-2 DIABETES** This type of diabetes occurs due to inability of insulin receptors to give response to insulin, and this results in insulin resistance. In simplified terms, the body is unable to utilise insulin. Most patients have this type of diabetes, and it usually occurs after 40 years of age. Type-2 diabetes is commonly referred to as **noninsulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM).** It is often associated with obesity. **Causes of Type-2 Diabetes** It is worthy to note that Ɓ-cells of Islets of Langerhans are normal, but insulin receptors on cell membranes may be absent or abnormal, thus resulting in insulin resistance. Common cause of insulin resistance include: Stress. Bad eating habits and physical inactivity (leading to obesity). Genetic disorders. People See and Care About You; It Might Not Look Like It, But They Do Surely many a time in our lives we have been in scenarios where we are downright certain that Mr. A dislikes us or Mrs. B never notices our good deeds. Such thinking-patterns usually breed contempt overtime and may lead to unnecessary hatred over irrelevant things. This post is an excerpt from my life from which I realised that people see and care about me, even though it didn't look like it. I hope you enjoy it. In my secondary school, from SS1 to 3, I became the perfect blend of Good and Bad — I'd assist some of my teachers with writing notes on the board; coordinate junior students; and later break every school rule known to man (I wasn't proud of this, but slowly I outgrew the behaviour). Anyway, in SS 3 (final class), I was suspended because once (just once) I disciplined a very stubborn student. After my suspension duration elapsed, I came to a realization that I just have to read and pass my final exams (WAEC for West-African students) and leave; in other words, I didn't care about anything or anybody in the school (principal, boarding master, teachers etc) — a bit selfish you might say. My parents even gave me that particular advice and I remember their words like it was yesterday: *"...just don't care about anything going on again. Read and leave"*. My Boarding master, who was also my English Teacher, noticed my attitude and that of few of my friends who had adopted same and he sort of started treating us with disdain and say to us *"I thought you were responsible"*... meaning we've all changed for the worst, I presume. He always ignored us and behaved in a way that signified disinterest about us. When I graduated, he was genuinely happy for me and my friends. It has been more than 6 years since then but I still remember his smiles because they were so pure. He did give me a gift that day, a timeless novel — Lord of the Flies by William Golding — and on the first page he wrote: *"...in appreciation of your consistency & high academic zeal"*. To anyone who picked up the novel and read that phrase, it might not mean much (and rightly so), but to me, it meant a whole lot because it spoke of two things: 1. That he *saw* me:- My consistency (I was always among the Top 3 students throughout my whole secondary school years) 2. That he cared about me:- Giving me a gift. Out of the few gifts I received when I graduated from Secondary School, his gift was more special to me because I had thought he hated me. **P.S:** I'm currently miles away from home and hence I cannot snap & attach a picture of his gift & inscription. I took a picture with my teacher that day, but to this day I never received the image from the photographer.

The Right Way To Tidy Up; The KonMari System The KonMari System or Method of tidying is a timeless "hack" for cleaning and orderliness. It was first first described by Marie Kondo (who is attributed as the founder); and in her book: *"The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up"* — a #1 New York Times Bestselling book — she laid opened the technique which promotes a simple principle: ***"discard every possession that does not bring you joy; and for the remaining items, ensure that they are well organized".*** Since the days of old, man has mostly been a hoarder; choosing to hold on various objects (some irrelevant). Even as children, I'm quite sure a lot of us had a stack of toys, playthings, objects found on the ground outside which we meticulous picked up and stored somewhere in a pile for future use. This simple pattern of hoarding things leads to cluttering and disorderliness, sometimes causing us to be confused a bit, saying things like *"where did I keep it?"*, *"I thought I left it here"*... and thus begins the endless pit of cluttering if you do not take active stance in getting rid of irrelevant things. This cluttering phenomenon is also mostly observed in the academic world where students (and professors alike) hoard books, journals, pamphlets, materials for future reference without opening up or preparing a standard (or at least, a decent) library. Books lying scattered on tables or sheets upon sheets of paper of good information but without proper documentation for easy accessibility, that sooner or later one would start asking his or herself the same circle of questions: *"where did I keep it?" ...* *"I thought I left it here"...* *"Who has seen my* `*insert whatever relevant thing*`*?"...* and then finally, the mind-opening revelation comes: *"I need to tidy up my room, office, house etc",* and it is at this point that **a lot of people go about the tidying up process the wrong way by tidying up in a room-by-room format** and find themselves cluttering and storing irrelevant things once more. Applying The KonMari System of tidying or decluttering is all about choosing Joy. It doesn't base its foundation only on orderliness, but on your mental wellbeing. Allowing you to let go of objects in your house, office, room that brings you a stint of sadness even by mere seeing it; and thus giving you a more clearer mind. **Sequence To Follow When Tidying** The KonMari Method of tidying advocates tidying by category and not by location (room-by-room). The sequence to follow are: **1.) Envision Your Ideal Lifestyle & Make Up Your Mind** Before the whole decluttering process begins, first thing that comes is your realization for a more clearer and organized space. You will have to visualise how you want your belongings to look — aiming for minimalism and joy. You will also have to make up your mind before beginning by trying to cancel out all forms of distractions eg turning off your TV, dropping your phone, turning on/off music depending on which stimulates you to work well, good lighting which without much talk is very important. **2.) Discard Without Looking Back** There are some items which you'll see and tell yourself *"I don't really need this, but let me just keep it though".* Sooner or later you'll see two, three, four or five other items and you'll still tell yourself the same thing and lead yourself into what you set out to correct — cluttering. The discarding process is not really the most relevant point of the KonMari System of tidying, but it is a key step. As a key note, ask yourself *"do I still truly need this? ... Does it spark joy?"*, if the answer is "Yes", put it aside for real tidying up process that comes after discarding. If the answer is "No", do the needful and discard it honourably (ie. thank it for it's service first Lol). The discarding process is vital because it allows you to really notice what needs your attention when tidying up/sorting. **3.) Tidy By Category/Group, Not By Location & Follow The Right Order** The disadvantage of tidying by location (room-by-room) is that it easily becomes a circle of endless sorting out and can wear you out quickly as your repeating the same process over and over again by a room-by-room basis. The KonMari Method of tidying teaches you to tidy up by categorising your items first and following a specific order: Clothes, Books, Papers, then Miscellaneous & Sentimental items such as personal items, heirloom, trophies, souvenirs. After tidying up, look around and ask yourself if what you see sparks joy in you. If it does, congratulations! You have successfully tidied up the right way!

Poco Launches The Poco C3; Their Most Affordable Smartphone Poco, the smartphone brand which became an independent brand off Xiaomi earlier this year (although they still use the Xiaomi MIUI rom on their devices), has long been in the smartphone manufacturing business and has released fine smartphones like the Poco F1, Poco M2 & Poco X2 Pro etc. Earlier today, the company announced its launch of it's newest entry: The Poco C3. **Starting at a price of $102 (USD) for the 3/32GB variant and $122 (USD) for the 4/64GB variant, it well is their most affordable smartphone.** Dubbed *"The Game Changer"*, Poco C3 (*C* which signifies Camera & *3* which signifies the number of sensors) comes with a handful of specs/features which would make it a nice smartphone to own at an affordable price. However, before outlining it's specifications, it is worthy to note that the phone comes in 3 colour-variants — Artic Blue, Matte Black and Lime Green. By the outer looks, it seems to be a clone (I dare say) of the Redmi 9 series recently launched by Xiaomi about a month ago. Anyway, that aside... let's look at the Poco C3 specs: ****Body**** Dimensions — 164.9 x 77.1 x 9 mm (6.49 x 3.04 x 0.35 in) Weight — 194 g (6.84 oz) SIM — Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by) ****OS & Processor**** OS — Android 10, MIUI 12 Chipset — MediaTek Helio G35 (12 nm fabrication process) CPU — Octa-core (4 x 2.3 GHz Cortex-A53 and 4 x 1.8 GHz Cortex-A53) GPU — PowerVR GE8320 ****Display**** Type — IPS LCD Capacitive Touchscreen, 16M colors Size — 6.43 inches (~80.3% screen-to-body Ratio) Resolution — 720 x 1600 pixels (≈ 270 ppi) Protection — Panda glass. 400 nits type brightness ****Memory**** Card slot — microSDXC (dedicated slot) Internal storage — 3GB RAM/32GB ROM or 4GB RAM/64GB ROM. eMMC 5.1 ****Camera**** **Front** Single — 5 MP, f/2.2, (wide), 1.12µm Features — HDR Video — 1080p @30fps **Rear** Triple — 13 MP, f/2.2, 28mm (wide), 1.0µm; 2 MP, f/2.4, (macro); 2 MP, f/2.4, (depth) Features — LED flash, HDR Video — 1080p @30fps ****Network**** Technology — GSM / HSPA / LTE 2G Bands — GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 - SIM 1 & SIM 2 3G Bands — HSDPA 850 / 900 / 2100 4G Bands — 1, 3, 5, 8, 40, 41 Speed — HSPA 42.2/5.76 Mbps, LTE-A ****Features & Battery**** Sensors — Accelerometer, proximity Messaging — SMS (threaded view), MMS, Email, Push Email, IM Browser — HTML5 Bluetooth — 5.0 USB — microUSB 2.0, USB On-The-Go (OTG) Battery Type — Li-Po 5000 mAh, non-removable Charging — 10W From the most relevant specifications above, I think it is safe to say that the Poco C3 packs a lot under it's belt for it's price range, and just might be the game changer as it is projected and marketed to be. Buy BitcoinCash Easily & Securely within Minutes in Nigeria BitcoinCash, a cryptocurrency of much relevance and a true picture of what a peer-to-peer electronic cash system should look like honourably forked away from Bitcoin in 2017 so that the goal of being a real means for transaction between people could be maintained, and to me it has done just that. And since then to (unfortunately) this 2020 we are in, Nigerians find it hard to purchase BitcoinCash securely and without stress. A lot of people do not like going through the cryptocurrency exchanges channels for their BitcoinCash (or any cryptocurrency); most prefer a more instantaneous channel, but fail to identify a secure one. For new adopters of BitcoinCash, and people who mostly do not know how to use a Cryptocurrency Exchange — a marketplace where users can buy and sell coins (academy.binance.com), purchasing BitcoinCash by fiat currency with peace of mind can be a daunting task. Sadly, in my country Nigeria, where if you mention the word Cryptocurrency, most people — especially the elderly ones — start looking at you with full-blown skepticism, the issue of *"How/Where to buy BitcoinCash"* or any other crypto coin entirely is very paramount and real (even in 2020). Also, a lot of crypto enthusiasts have been scammed through purported "Trading/Send this & Receive that". And thus, by noticing the sickening trend, I decided to write and publish this article to create more awareness for the Nigerian BitcoinCash Community on how to Buy, Sell, Save/Hodl BitcoinCash and a few other cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ripple, Ethereum) with the Nigerian Naira (₦); and in the scenario you want to convert your assets back to Naira and withdraw directly into your bank account. https://academy.binance.com/glossary/exchange Disclaimer: This article is for informational purposes only. No sentence, phrase, word or media contained in this article should be taken as legal or financial advice/endorsement to buy, sell or hodl BitcoinCash or any cryptocurrency. The cryptocurrency space is very volatile and as such you should obtain every relevant information and make your final decision solely by yourself. I (jvseph) will not be held accountable if you face issues while using the service or services contained in this article. Please do a thorough research on your own before using any service. ________________________ As earlier stated, a cryptocurrency exchange is a marketplace where users can buy and sell coins. One of the main functions of an exchange is to provide liquidity within a secure and organized trading environment, acting as an intermediary for traders to easily buy and sell their assets while being less susceptible to financial risks (academy.binance.com), and thus enters **Luno** for Nigerians, South Africans, Malaysians, Indonesians etc. https://academy.binance.com/glossary/exchange **LUNO: To the Moon** 🚀 Luno was founded in 2012 by Marcus Swanepoel and has their headquarters in Singapore. As a secure way for purchasing and managing cryptocurrencies, they started out with Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple etc, following the massive success & adoption of Luno and the feedback from users, BitcoinCash was added to their service on 23rd August, 2019 (about 13 months ago). https://medium.com/@marcusswanepoel To begin your crypto journey with Luno and buy BitcoinCash (BCH) easily and securely without going through exchanges, first you have to create your Luno account/wallet. After creating the wallet, you will need to deposit your fiat currency (in this case, Nigerian Naira ₦) direct from your bank account via Bank card or Bank account. To do so: Locate the **Wallet** tab and click the **NGN wallet** At the top, click Deposit and proceed to pay funds into your NGN wallet via two (2) channels: Bank transfer through Paystack or by Debit/Credit card with PayU. The amount will appear in your NGN wallet. Easy! Now, you're actually ready to buy BitcoinCash... Locate the **Wallet** tab again, click **BCH wallet** Click **Buy**. You'll be asked *"How would you like to pay?".* There are various means (either by Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin) or by NGN wallet balance. Since you want to purchase BitcoinCash by Naira, click on **NGN Wallet.** Input the amount in Naira you want to pay/use to buy BitcoinCash and click **Next.** You'll see the amount of BCH you'll receive; when you proceed to buy, the said amount is deposited into your BCH wallet instantly! you can then Send it to another BitcoinCash address or "Hodl" it. Easy! **N/B:** You can purchase any of the five (5) cryptocurrencies available — BTC, ETH, BCH, XRP, LTC — for as low as ₦500.00 For advanced users, there is also the in-app Luno Exchange for Trading, where you can place your order, buy at market prices etc. For in-depth tutorials, help and process on how to use their service, please visit Luno.com https://www.luno.com/help/en ****Luno Giveaway**** 🚀🎉 If you decide to use Luno for your crypto journey, they run a **promotional giveaway** for every new & already registered member. All you have to do is, register and confirm your email, then locate the Rewards tab and apply this code **7VMSCP** **before your first transaction**, you will receive the Bitcoin equivalent of ₦250.00 into your secure wallet to start your journey. In the coming weeks, I will also write an article on using another service — Roqqu — for purchasing, hodl'ing or selling Bitcoin, BitcoinCash, Ethereum, USDT, Tron, Ripple, EOS, Binance coin, Hive and Steem very easily using the Nigerian Naira. ________________________ As an added resource for learning, attached below are two (2) YouTube videos I personally find educative for beginners about how to use an Exchange (in this case Binance — the largest cryptocurrency exchange presently). 1. **TITLE:** Binance Exchange Tutorial 2020: How to BUY and SELL Cryptocurrencies? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=b3Q4-jVxqlE **Author/YouTube Channel**: Young And Investing **Uploaded on:** 23rd April, 2020 **No. of views (as at the time of publishing this article):** 72k **No. of Likes (as at the time of publishing this article):** 1.9k **No. of Dislikes (as at the time of publishing this article):** 56 **TITLE:** The Complete Binance Tutorial For Beginners https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=XC0iXYK0FSg **Author/YouTube Channel:** Alexander Lorenzo **Uploaded on:** 16th May, 2019 **No. of views (as at the time of publishing this article):** 60k **No. of Likes (as at the time of publishing this article):** 1.4k **No. of Dislikes (as at the time of publishing this article):** 104 ...and **for understanding Candle Stick Charts**, I find this video below very informative **TITLE:** Candlestick charts: The ULTIMATE beginners guide to reading a candlestick chart https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jmoOrgTP5XQ **Author/YouTube Channel:** The Trading Channel **Uploaded on:** 24th September, 2017 **No. of views (as at the time of publishing this article):** 2,450,945 views **No. of Likes (as at the time of publishing this article):** 108k **No. of Dislikes (as at the time of publishing this article):** 1k ________________________ ...and that's just about it. "Not only is the blockchain a bookkeeping tool, it also presents unprecedented transparency for the financial ecosystem. And it is that level of transparency that a lot of traditional financial institutions are afraid of. Free-litecoin.com: Should You Use It? Due to the volatility of the crypto market and prices, a lot of crypto "newbies" are always reluctant to purchase cryptocurrencies with their hard-earned fiat, thus they hunt for faucets (sites or platforms that give out free cryptocoins for completing tasks, offers, answering surveys, watching ads etc). However, **it is worthy of note that a good number of these faucets are scams**, ripping the user of his/her deserved reward or payment when requested. **This article is my review of free-litecoin.com** — a faucet which pays litoshis (little bits of litecoin) every hour — **and it includes Results from Online Reviews culled from TrustPilot and FoxyRating websites.** ________________________ According to an article by Changelly.com, litecoin is one of the major parts of the cryptocurrency industry, and has been active for over 8 years since its hard-fork away from Bitcoin in 2011. Litecoin's price has decreased significantly since it's all-time high of $360.66 in December 2017. However, following its decrease in price (to about $45.43) as at the time of publishing this article, it seems like a perfect time to invest in and "**Hodl**" litecoins for the long term/run. https://changelly.com/blog/litecoin-price-prediction/amp/ **Litecoin Price Chart since 2011 to Date. Source:** **www.coin360.com** https://coin360.com/coin/litecoin-ltc#:~:text=Litecoin%20(LTC)%20is%20a%20cryptocurrency,instead%20of%20Bitcoin's%20sha-256. ________________________ ****Free-litecoin.com******:** ****Interface**** When it comes to the faucet's interface, I give it a 9/10 score. The interface is very simple and stripped down of irrelevant things. The colour-coding is made to fit how Litecoin looks — white-to-grey colours. On the homepage you're greeted by the possible litoshi you can win every hour when you click and "roll" a particular range of number. At the top-right hand corner is a hamburger menu which you can click to reveal a handful of options/sub-menus — Referral, Profile, Stats, Withdraw, Deposit, Contact, FAQ etc. ****Results from Online Reviews**** **TrustPilot:** The official motto of this review site is *"behind every review is an experience that matters",* and I believe so too. On TrustPilot, free-litecoin.com holds a **3.6 stars** rating (average) out of 50 reviews, with majority of users giving low to medium rating due to the high withdrawal fee. To view the reviews, click here. https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.free-litecoin.com **Foxyrating:** This is another top review website which creates rankings of various services by the opinions of its users. On foxyrating.com, free-litecoin.com holds a solid **4 stars** rating (22 opinions on 56 comments), with a status of "Promising". To view the reviews, click here. https://foxyrating.com/en/review-27637-free-litecoin Based on the reviews, users pointed out **fast payments**, **good support team**, **no maximum withdrawal limit**, **clean design** among others as it's Pros; and as in TrustPilot, some mentioned the **high withdrawal fee** as a major Con. **In relation to the title of this article (Should You Use It?), in my opinion that question can only be FULLY answered by you.** As the minimum amount one can win is very small, it will take a long time to accumulate litoshis of a reasonable quantity. However, because we're very much always with our smartphones and glued to it 24/7 (the hard truth), you can decide to use the faucet passively, earning Litecoin whenever you remember or feel like "rolling". Still, it depends on you. ________________________ Would you want to try out the faucet and earn Litecoin as a passive activity daily? Visit www.free-litecoin.com/login?referer=1028764 to register (as with read.cash and most web services today, the link given above is my Affiliate link; when you register through it, the faucet rewards me with a some incentive and increases the minimum litoshi you can earn per roll). https://free-litecoin.com/login?referer=1028764 If you are reading this article and somehow you are NOT already a member of read.cash, click here to join within 2 minutes. https://read.cash/r/jvseph ________________________ Thank you for reading up to this point. MacroDroid: Android-Automation App The Android OS has evolved magnificently since the days of Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread (The Firsts). There have been different builds of the Operating System that every android user usually looks forward to its newer release by Google because of the awesome features that are anticipated. However, for each of these builds (even as far back as Android 4.2), you can put another classic feather on its cap through automation. Automation is one of the less-explored strongholds of the Android OS, with applications such as Tasker and Automate arguably topping the scene. However, these applications (Tasker and Automate) can be difficult to set up because of the level of expertise it requires and their well, Poor UI (duh!). Thus the average android user misses out of the ease-of-life automation brings. But then enters MacroDroid — an automation app that combines simplicity & robustness and delivers full automation to your android device without sweat or a need to root your device. ________________________ **MacroDroid's User Interface** MacroDroid was developed by **Jamie** (aka UndeadCretin) back in 2012 as a part-time hobby/passion, and it has blossomed into a beauty over the years. Its working principle/foundation is by creating "macros" which are basically automated tasks. A macro consists of: https://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=1486719 **Trigger:** A particular event that occurs on the device (eg. application launched, Screen off, Headphones inserted etc). **Action:** An activity that the device can perform. This is essentially the task you want your device to do automatically (eg. Keep device awake, Sync account, Pop-up message etc). **Constraint:** This is some sort of control, but it is not mandatory that it should be used when creating macros. It is an event on the device that must be satisfied/true for the Trigger to fire (eg. Time of the day, Mobile data on/off, Music active etc). Macros are very easy to set up; and for the techies who like to play around/try more deeper things, there's the Variables, Send intent, Text manipulation and more sections for you. If you don't like the supposed stress of creating a macro, there's the Template tab where users (whether registered or not) can easily import macros created & uploaded by the large MacroDroid user-base. An average of 8-10 macros are uploaded daily by the MacroDroid community. Awesome! **Top Users/Leaderboard** MacroDroid is not a game but yep, there is some sort of leaderboard present in the app where registered users are ranked based on their contributions (uploading useful macros). It is a kind of inspiration for users to be the best while providing macros, and can be used to find macros uploaded by a particular person. Well, not that this part below is relevant to this article, but I'm currently ranked 48 out of 1046 registered users, and I've uploaded 25 macros (put some *respek* on my name 😁). Some macros I've created and use consistently include: Check current storage info (Internal and External SD card) by Quick settings tile button anytime. Facebook and Instagram push-notifications management to keep my notification shade decluttered. Data/Wifi should automatically turn OFF after 10mins if I suddenly sleep off at night unknowingly while connected to the internet. Auto-show New IP Address when VPN Connects. The free version of the app is limited to 5 macros and contains ads. However, you can get the full version by paying a very minimal amount as an in-app purchase, which also helps in supporting the project and the developer. With the full version, an unlimited number of macros can be created/imported and all ads are removed permanently. Link to the app on Google PlayStore: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.arlosoft.macrodroid Do you own/use an Android device? Come on to the good side with automation. Sugar: A Sweet Evil As with everything in life, moderation is key. Sugar — as sweet as it is — is not left out of that important philosophy. In every naturally occuring food which contains carbohydrates (eg. fruits), sugar is present. This sugar present in naturally occuring foods can be described as "good sugar". The other class of which I will like to call "bad sugar" is the processed/refined sugar added as sweetners in virtually every snack known to man. Refined sugar has been rightly linked to diabetes and obesity times without number, but sadly those are not the only adverse effects of consuming "bad sugars" in high amounts. Excessive consumption of refined sugars (cube, granulated, liquidfied etc), though slow in showing visible adverse effects, impacts your health negatively one bit at a time. Easy example is tooth decay, no? Some other less known harmful impacts of refined sugars are: Increase high-blood pressure. Pimples and Acne proliferation. Rapid skin-aging. Tiredness. Increased susceptibility to certain types of cancers. Increased risk of developing various diseases of the heart, kidney and liver. Increased risk of developing Gout (a disease distinguished by inflammed/swollen joints). **How then can you keep your blood-sugar levels in check?** A plausible method for monitoring your sugar intake is to take active stance in regulating your overall consumption of processed foods as a whole. Most food manufacturers are notorious for adding refined sugars as sweetners and labelling it under ambiguous names (cane juice, sucrose, malt sugar, corn syrup, corn sweetner) on the nutrition label, that to the common man, he would not even realize how much sugar he is consuming at a go. Health professionals often advice that it is a good practise to obtain your daily sugar needs from naturally occuring sources — fruits, vegetables, dairy etc. Another method that deserves a distinct mention is replacing soft-drinks with water. This simple replacement can have a massive positive effect for your health in totality, not just in monitoring your blood-sugar levels. ________________________ Liked this article? Kindly check out my other articles which covers various topics. Thank you for reading up to this point. I hope you start (if you don't already) consuming foods rich in "good sugars" for your daily sugar needs. Have a nice day! No Such Thing As A Life That's Better Than Yours For avid listeners of hip-hop from American rappers, the title of this article might seem all too familiar. Like "Yes, I've heard this somewhere". And rightly so. The phrase *"No such thing as a life that's better than yours"* is significant to a song titled *"Love Yourz"*, released in 2014 by ace Dreamville rapper, Jermaine Cole (professionally known as J. Cole). However, I just want to draw reference to it because of how significant the phrase is and why more people should know it. ________________________ It sounds cliché to say, but with the advancement of technology, the world is a global village. You can converse and see beautiful places and people thousands of miles away from you —a marvelous thing in it's own right; but yet a marvelous thing that can effortlessly make you sad in a way if you're easily swayed by what you see. Understand me, it's not bad to wish things for yourself based on what you see online or even in your immediate surroundings. But when those wishes start leading you to think that you're not good enough or that your life is trash or causes you to wish for another life entirely, then its harmful. Sadly the explosion of social media eg. Instagram, has greatly added to this occurrence (not that I have any hatred towards the social media giant). People no longer share pictures if they think there's an iota of perceived fault in it. If it's not "perfect", they don't post — thus the proliferation of the use of filters in an image to hide little flaws just so that the picture may be "perfect" and they may look like who they admire online (who might not even have things going for them as good as they project on their social media spaces). ________________________ No such thing as a life that's better than yours... You have a whole lot of good stuff in your life that if you shut out the harmful wishes for even a minute, you'll see it all — the blessing of waking up daily, the love of your family and close friends, the absence of disaster in your surroundings, the joy of life itself and the convenience of simplicity etc.

FaucetCrypto: A Faucet of Pure Class Good day to you dear read-casher 😁 (I hope the name is not weird). Yep, here I am again with another article on faucets — a section of the crypto-world which every newbie or intermediate crypto-enthusiast should try out for some time before deciding to jump into a bigger section of the crypto-world.. Cryptocurrency Exchanges! I had previously written an article about ES Faucet, a topnotch multicoin faucet without doubt. You can find the article here. However, today, in a few paragraphs I'll show you another gem... FaucetCrypto! 💜 https://read.cash/@jvseph/es-faucet-the-crypto-faucet-with-a-difference-0609b91f ________________________ Faucet Crypto is also a multicoin faucet and it is awesome in many ways. It offers you an easy chance to earn BTC, ETH, BCH, LTC, RDD, ZEN, ETC, BSV, ZEC, TRX, XVG, DGB, SYS etc., and you can withdraw it direct to your respective wallet addresses without hassle. **The User Interface** The faucet's Interface is quite classy, and has support for light and dark modes irrespective of your device type, its OS level or the browser you use. There is a hamburger menu of which you can tap to reveal it's features/ways of earning — Regular 40mins Timer, Shortlinks, Achievements, PTC Ads and Offerwalls. By using the faucet, you earn their coin which is redeemable for any cryptocurrency of your choice. All you just have to have is a minimum of 500 coins and you're good to go. You can get this minimum value of coins or more all within a day or less! (the regular 40mins timer even dishes out about 20 coins consistently). The more you use the faucet, the higher the value of coins you earn and higher your bonuses (knock.. knock... there is no maximum level, you can keep leveling up and leveling up, earning more coins and that's the beauty of the faucet). **Payment Proof** Normally I don't attach this, but for this.. I would. It's just too good to be slept on. I changed my browser's Display Mode to Desktop View so that the full details can be visible. ES Faucet: The Crypto-Faucet with a Difference The word "faucet" I'm sure isn't alien to anyone on our beloved read.cash. Faucets are sites or platforms that give out free cryptocoins for completing tasks, offers, answering surveys, watching ads etc. But how do you pick the best out of the lot? What kind of features should you look out for? ...and the ultimate question, is it even worth it? Brace yourself as I take you on a smooth ride and introduce you to the faucet with a difference — ES Faucet by Euryalos Studios! ________________________ Without much ado, ES Faucet is an awesome multi-crypto faucet that offers you (the user) a chance to claim and earn over 10+ top cryptocoins such as BTC, ETH, BCH, DGB, LTC, TRX, XRP, BAT, DASH, ETC, DOGE, alongside earning their in-app coin (ES-coin) which you can use for various things such as tabling it as transaction fees when you want to withdraw. Anyway, Guess what? You decide how often to claim! You may decide to claim every 30minutes consistently or leave it for 1, 2 or even 12hours and claim a larger amount at once! Unbelievable right? Hold up, there's more... **The User Interface** Euryalos Studios made it so easy to claim your favourite cryptos by providing stable mobile apps for Android & iOS devices, available only on their official website (es.btcnewz.com) or you may decide to use the website directly, your experience isn't hindered either way. The image below is a snapshot of the app/website faucet's features, with more goodies such as Mining, Offers, Special Offers & Bonuses hidden under those Menu options. To keep this article short & concise, I will give a simple breakdown of some features: — You earn by claiming in the faucets, watching ads, completing offers & surveys and carrying out the simple special offers by ES or by mining! — The Dashboard is like a homepage where you can see all your asset's balances and manage them. — The Stats tab shows you your statistics for the week in a clean bar-graph format. — Under My Account, you have Profile, Membership, Referral, Withdraw & Transactions. — In Mobile Applications, you can download individual applications for each faucet/cryptocoin. — There's also the Poll section, where users can cast their votes for the next feature to be added in the faucet. Awesome! —Then my favourite part of the website/faucet is the Exchange feature (Knock.. Knock. No, I'm not referring to Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, Bitstamp or any of the Online Cryptocurrency Exchanges where trading is done). You can exchange one cryptocurrency for another in-app with the speed of light, free. How is this feature handy? For example, let's say I had claimed Ethereum and Litecoin all through the day, I can decide to exchange both for/and get my sweet Bitcoin Cash; or if I'm very interested in earning a particular cryptocoin, I can claim consistently from all the individual faucets and at the end of the day, exchange all of them for only that particular cryptocoin I'm interested in. Awesome! And lest I forget, your Withdrawal is smooth and hitch free. You may withdraw to your Coinbase account, Faucetpay account or directly to your wallet. That's it... ES Faucet: The Crypto-Faucet with a Difference. ________________________ Never heard of ES Faucet before? Want to register? Free VPN user? Here's a Nifty Tool in Telegram App for you Hi there friend, I hope you're good? This is my 2nd post since joining read.cash. My Bio says: *"I write stuff..."* Well, this is my 1st *"stuff"* — a sleek & less known workaround to find your IP Address, Server Connected-to and the Country itself when you connect to a free VPN service/app which (most times) don't show you these small but important informations. So let's dive in, shall we? 🙂________________________ Like I stated in the Title, we'll be using Telegram app. Login and navigate-to and click "Settings" by sliding from the left region of the base chat-screen. In the "Settings" screen, click on "Privacy & Security"... Once you're in the "Privacy and Security" section, you'll see "Active Sessions", click it. (if you don't see it at first glance, slide down a bit). (*N/B: The Active Sessions tab shows you how many devices in which your Telegram Account is currently logged in on*). And there you have it... just below your Device name and OS level is the IP Address, City and Country connected to. And like you might have already guessed, even if you use a paid VPN service, you'll still see these informations there. If you're not connected to a VPN, the details shown in that page would be your default setting, ie. IP address from your Internet Service Provider (ISP). _______________________ I found this feature some many weeks ago after tinkering around in the Settings section. (knock, knock.. "Settings" are usually my favourite part of a phone or app because well, I like to tweak stuff to my liking 😁). _______________________ Did you like the Article? My First Post; My Near-Funny Birth-Story as Narrated By My Mother Births are a very marvellous thing — the joy of life springing forth and the visualisation of the almost infinite dear memories about to be created. For my mother in 1997, the joys and visualisations were unbounded in her eyes once more. Thus, I begin my read.cash journey with a memory that isn't mine, but my dear Mother's. She said I was birthed at exactly 8:45am on a sunny Saturday in the month of April 1997, and that I weighed a massive 4.5 kg at birth which surprised her because the delivery was very smooth and quick (compared to my 2 elder brothers). She said that my cries were ever so gentle on everyone's ears; that I was all fleshy; and that at some point, the nurses couldn't stop starring at me for over 5 minutes. Anyway, talking about my weight at birth, 4.5 kg (10 lb), let me put it in perspective... the average weight of a new born baby is about 3.5kg (7.5 lb). So that was an extra 1 kg that spoke of pure health. Over the years, I've lost the contract I had with adipose tissues (knock, knock... biochemical name for body fat, Lol), and I really want that contract back because now I'm very slim and no matter what my diet is, I just can't gain real weight. Nevertheless, I'm healthy and happy. `I (Joseph), my parents and 2 elder brothers (John & James), sometime in the 90's when cameras were you know.. gaining ground.` It's me; I'm the baby in the title image and the fleshy little boy in blue shorts in the image above (peep the cheeks 😁). I don't know if this story was even nearly as funny as I'd thought or even funny at all, but I still hope you enjoyed reading it. Anyway, stay with me, I'll post more — my stories, photo-documentaries of the town I'm currently doing my compulsory National Youth Service in Nigeria, best/easiest/hottest faucets for the Crypto-inclined, and a host of other good stuff. Have a nice day (or night, if it's nighttime in your country 😉).
