Pagbubuntis: Post-partum depression
Wala kang pasensya. Lahat na lang kinakainisan mo. Nakakaramdaman ka ng galit sa anak mo, or sa asawa mo, or sa mga kaibigan mo na walang anak. Hindi mo macontrol yung nararamdaman mong galit.
Manhid na ang pakiramdam mo. Emptiness.
Kung may mga ganito ka ng dinaranas, the best thing to do is to call a doctor.
What is carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning and what is its connection to the use of GENSETs?
In recent weeks, our country has gone through many trials. Volcanic eruptions, pandemics, and hurricanes are just some of the hardships people experience. It is sad to think but we stay strong and stay positive in life.
Our province is one of the areas that has experienced severe disasters so it is inevitable that there will be problems with the power lines. That is why people make ways just to be organized and facilitate our daily activities. Most are accustomed to using a generator. Most people can't deny using new technology. Based on the report of the Province of Albay to the DOH - Bicol CHD at present, there are eight suspected cases of CO poisoning. What exactly is this? How did it happen?
**What is carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning and what is its connection to the use of GENSET?**
CO poisoning occurs when a person inhales high levels of CO. It enters the bloodstream and replaces oxygen in the blood which can cause serious illness or death. CO is a poison that has no odor or taste so it is not known if a person inhales it. Generator sets used during power outages are one of the sources of carbon monoxide. It can be fatal depending on the concentration of carbon monoxide in the surroundings (higher, more dangerous), the duration of exposure to its smoke (longer, more dangerous), and the health of the person inhaling it (if sick is more dangerous).
**Symptoms of Carbon Monoxide (CO) Poisoning When a person is exposed to high levels of Carbon Monoxide in an area where ventilation is not good, they may experience the following symptoms:**
Headache.
Difficulty breathing
Changes in behavior, habits, and thinking.
Easy fatigue.
Shortness of breath or a general feeling of sickness.
Poisoning.
Laziness or difficulty walking.
Vision problems.
Confusion or impaired judgment.
Vomiting.
Breathing speed.
Chest pain and rapid or abnormal heartbeat
These symptoms include having exposure to carbon monoxide and when many people have the same symptoms are possible indications of carbon monoxide poisoning.
Infants, pregnant women, the elderly, and those with diseases such as anemia, respiratory illness, or heart disease are more at risk of Carbon Monoxide (CO) poisoning.
**Things to do if you experience carbon monoxide poisoning:**
Get help right away. Call emergency hotlines.
Take the person inhaling CO to a place with clean air, remove it from the area with CO.
If the person inhaling faints, check for damage before moving.
Switch off the carbon monoxide source if it is safe to do so.
Perform CPR as needed until help arrives.
Upon arrival at the hospital, the patient will be given 100% oxygen. Oxygen delivery depends on the severity of carbon monoxide exposure:
The person experiencing mild poisoning or mild poisoning is given oxygen through a mask.
The person experiencing severe carbon monoxide poisoning needs to be placed in a full-body, high-pressure chamber to provide it with enough oxygen in the body. Portable generators are useful when there is no electricity.
Portable generators are useful when there is no electricity. However, we must be aware of the possible danger of improper use of portable generators. The most common hazards associated with portable generators are carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning, electricity, and fire hazards. To avoid risks here are some important instructions:
Generators must operate in areas with good airflow outside the house and away from all doors, windows, and vents.
Never use a generator in an attached garage, even if the door is open.
Turn off the generators and let cool before refueling (applying gas, diesel, hydrogen, or others). Never refuel the generator while it is running.
Store the fuel (gas, diesel, hydrogen, or other) in the generator in the container for that purpose and the label is correct in its use. Keep containers outside of used living rooms.
Remember: It is still safe to have enough knowledge.

IQ vs. EQ
Is IQ or EQ More Important?
What is the most important between intelligence quotient (IQ) and emotional intelligence (EQ)? Can we consider them just to be equally important?
Let us understand what is intelligence quotient and emotional quotient. According to the proponent of the Intelligence quotient, it performs the most critical functions specifying how proper human beings fare in life. While Emotional quotient advocates, it's even higher importance. So which is more important for us, as an individual?
What's the Difference Between IQ and EQ
Intelligence is a total score derived from numerous standardized tests designed to check human intelligence. IQ represents skills such as:
Visual and spatial processing - is the capacity to tell where objects are in space.
Knowledge of the world - is everything else.
Fluid reasoning - involves being in a position to suppose and cause abstractly and solve problems.
Working memory - refers to the methods that are used to briefly store, organize, and manipulate information.
Short-term memory - refers to the processes that are used to temporarily store, organize, and manipulate information.
Quantitative reasoning - is the act of understanding mathematical information and concepts and being able to follow them to real-world scenarios.
Emotional intelligence refers to a person's potential to perceive, control, evaluate, and express emotions. EQ is based on skills such as:
Identifying emotions - is an individual's capability to be aware of affective responses that take place at some stage in diverse each day interactions.
Evaluating how others feel - is to be sympathetic to someone's woes.
Controlling one's personal feelings - refer to the capability to exercise influence over emotion, and modulate emotion through the use of cognitive or behavioral strategies.
Perceiving how others feel - Perceiving how others feel.
Using thoughts to facilitate social communication
Relating to others
So, which Is More Important?
People with high IQs were assumed to be destined for a life of accomplishment and achievement, and researchers debated whether or not the brain used to b**e** the product of genes or the environment.
However, some critics started to realize that excessive talent was once no assurance of success in life. It was once additionally possibly too narrow a thinking to utterly embody the vast range of human abilities and knowledge.
IQ is still identified as an essential issue of success, mainly when it comes to tutorial achievement. People with excessive IQs typically do well in school, often earn extra money, and tend to be more healthy in general.
But today many agencies now mandate emotional intelligence training and use EQ tests as part of the hiring process.
Research has found that humans with sturdy leadership potential also tend to be more emotionally intelligent, suggesting that excessive EQ is an essential quality for commercial enterprise leaders and managers.
Emotional skills can also have an impact on the choices that consumers make when confronted with shopping for decisions.
**Can Emotional Intelligence Be Learned?**
If emotional Genius is so essential in people's lives, can it be taught? According to one meta-analysis that appeared at the effects of social and emotional learning programs, the reply to that question is an unequivocal yes.
Strategies for teaching emotional talent consist of character education, modeling fantastic behaviors, encouraging people to suppose about how others are feeling, and discovering ways to be extra empathetic towards others.
Both IQ and EQ play roles in normal success, as properly as health, wellness, and happiness.
In my own opinion, whichever it is, I must consider equally both must important Intelligence Quotient and Emotional Intelligence. Much better if you have these two kinds of Intelligence to have to balance your emotions and mind.
My Horrible Experience about Sleep paralysis
Which of you is experiencing sleep paralysis? How often does this happen to you? Do you feel scared when this happens to you?
In this article, I will share with you about my horrifying and terrifying experience.
**What exactly is Sleep Paralysis?**
**Sleep paralysis** is a feeling of being unconscious but unable to move. It occurs when a person goes through the stages of waking and sleeping. When this happens, you will not be able to move and speak in seconds or minutes. Our senses and consciousness are intact, but the feeling of having pressure on them or having a feeling of being choked.
According to the researchers, sleep paralysis is brief and not a serious risk but can cause **anxiety** or you may be remembered as a frightening event. It can occur alongside other sleep disorders such as **narcolepsy.**
**Narcolepsy** is an excessive need to sleep due to a problem with the brain's ability to control sleep.
During my college days, I had a terrifying experience with sleep paralysis. My cousin's name is Fe, she is 56 years old, she was a teacher and I was a student then. I was with that house. We were rented a house. It is said that it used to be a hospital but we are not afraid because we both do not believe in ghosts. Our room was formerly an emergency room, they say that there's many have died there, I just thought, so what? normally, people are dying there because that is a former hospital.
It happened to me twice but it was the worst. Every morning, between 4:00 to 5:00 a.m. I prepare breakfast and my cousin's lunch because she also goes to school early and I am left alone in a boarding house because I have a class at night. After I had prepared food and packed the food for my cousin I went back to bed to sleep again. In our almost everyday routine, we rarely see each other because in the morning she is not around there and in the evening I am not around there also.
It happened after I ate lunch and I fell asleep immediately. I am very tired and sleepy during those hours because of the many projects and activities that are being finalized, we all know the life of a student. I like to sleep in the living room because sometimes there are people who come unexpectedly like the bill collector of electricity, cable, water and rent pay. So that I can easily hear their knocks. I dreamed that someone was chasing me in a place I was not familiar with, it was wooded, dark, and deserted. I could not see who was chasing me but I was so scared then I woke up as if not because what I saw around is blurry, I can not move either. I try to open my eyes until I wake up, I ignore because it is just a dream and I do not take things like that very seriously. Until I went back to sleep, what I did not know the second time I went back to sleep was that it would be a continuation of my first dream. This time I could see the man chasing me. A fat man carrying a bolo knife. He chased me until he caught up with me and decapitated me. I can't understand why I can still move without ahead. I cried a lot. No one could hear me. As I slept, sleep paralysis happened again. I try to wake up but I seem to be stiff because I have difficulty moving my legs and it is also difficult to open my eyes. Fortunately, I was able to fight sleep paralysis again. But I thought I could not sleep because I forced my hands to open my eyes so that I could not sleep. For the third time, I did not realize that I had fallen asleep again. But this is another chapter of my dream because I was in the living room at that time and both my left hand and left leg were hanging on the floor. I slept on the sofa until I fell asleep paralyzed again. I could see a black woman with long hair, crawling closer to me, and as if I could hear her body twitching. I try to open my eyes and lift my dangling left hand and left leg but I can't move it. She is approaching! My mind says wake up! This is not true! This is just a dream. I scream but my voice has no sound. Until I woke up and suddenly the woman I could see in my dream disappeared. When I woke up again I saw that it was true that my left hand and leg were hanging. I was sweating with extreme fear and I could not breathe properly, I was also very tired. I could feel my chest pounding. At that moment when I woke up, I did not go back to sleep but I prayed over and over again. But my dreams kept haunting me over and over again. I was still terrified because when I woke up I had no one with me. I left the house and tried to calm myself.
I researched about sleep paralysis and having a decapitate nightmare. It says that when someone headless in a dream makes you feel a bit surreal, distanced or separate, this could be a good indication this dream is showing you that your head and heart are not in balance - one may be dominating the other. It may be your head is controlling your heart and you are being overly rational. Consider where in your life you feel disjointed from your feelings, where you may be behaving too intellectually and not letting your emotions flow. This often happens when we are afraid of letting ourselves feel for fear of pain or humiliation.
Previously, I believed that the reason a black woman entered my dream was because of wide imagination, and when I watched horror movies because I'm an avid fan of horror movies.
Right now I no longer experience sleep paralysis but I still often have nightmares and usually, it happens at dawn when I wake up and go back to sleep.
Why it is better to be isolated when married?
Marriage is not easy, it is still necessary to prepare for this stage of our lives. They say that marriage is not like hot food that when you taste it and you burnt , you spit it out. It is important that you isolate yourself from your family to get used to being independent. Aside from being independent, you will build your own family, you should no longer depend on and live with your parents because once you have children, you will serve as their guidance.
Soon, the couple must learn to stand on their own two feet. In the long run, use this time lesson on how to operate a house so that when you move out you will not be too innovative.
When separated, the couple is forced to solve problems that do not always depend on the parents. This way, they will be more responsible and easily learn to app
The following are advantages when you are isolated:
When you rent either rent or own a house you will have what we call "privacy" which is very important to the couple. Like me, having a space of my own is very important to me because I want privacy. I want to feel like there is only one mom and dad in a house. I can't comfortable when someone else is with me, even my parents or siblings. Even my husband also wants to have his own space so he understands what I want. I don't want an extended family.
You can do whatever you want. Have your own time at home. It doesn't matter if you laying all day, you will not clean the house or you will wake up at noon you will not hear anything because your house, your rules. Only you and your spouse can argue.
Learn to be independent in everything. What you serve, what you cook, how you budget, how you fix the house, what you buy, the color of the paint, etc. In short, you and your spouse have your own decision in everything.
You have control over your child. How do you raise and discipline, what to feed or what things you want to instill in your child without contradiction. This measures your family structure and how you can be responsible in your lives.
No one interferes when your spouse / partner has problems. There is no bias because you are the only two adults in the house, no one will interfere. Your problem is not the problem of your entire relative. Because in married life its not advisable to interfere, sometimes small problems grow due to the instigation of the people who are with you at home.
Financially responsible. All your finances are the only two of you that have the right to how you spend. You'll learn how to save. Also learn to work hard because you have nothing to expect from paying your bills and household expenses.
You will your own identity as a family. You can change what you do not want from the ones you grew up with, you can make your own family traditions. You can change your past family traditions that you don't want. Remember, that you build your own version of family.

My Fresh Lumpia Recipe
Love this recipe for fresh lumpia. This is a kind of Filipino Spring Rolls that is filled with different kinds of vegetables, sweet potato, shrimps, and meat. Wrapped in a crepe-like wrapper and coated with a special sweet-savory sauce.
Fresh lumpia is another version of Filipino spring rolls. It translates to Fresh Spring Rolls. The filling is composed of different kinds of vegetables, some shrimps, and meat. Firm Tofu may also be added. The filling is then wrapped or rolled in a crepe-like wrapper. It is called fresh because you do not fry it as we do in other spring rolls, like lumpiang shanghai and fried lumpia or tofu. It also has a special brown sauce that is sweet and savory and then has toppings chopped peanuts.
The sauce is a breeze to make. It is mainly a concoction of water, soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, and garlic, cooked until it becomes thick and flavorful.
Fresh lumpia also served as appetizers but it is also popularly eaten as an afternoon snack or for those who want to have a light meal (or lose weight), it will also be perfect for dinner. Most recipes would ask for pork belly strips for the filling but I used ground pork instead. It not only lessens the cooking time but I also liked that the meat is better distributed or mixed with the veggies.
I always cook fresh lumpia for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. My husband and my daughter love it. Especially the taste of the brown sauce. They want the thicker one sauce. Today, I am going to share my fresh lumpia recipe.

What is the effect of shouting at the child?
No one wants us to shout at our child but sometimes it is unavoidable or unstoppable. Whether at home or outside or even when no one else is witnessing, we are ashamed of what we have done. It runs through our minds how we are judged as parents. But how to have self-discipline so as not to shout? What can we do if we are overcrowded and angry?
Screaming is said to be the equivalent of beating. Rarely is the problem solved or the bad habit. usually, they are only reprimanded for a short time and then they go back to being naughty or reprimanding.
According to Editha Velez, a mother. "They don't understand what you are saying when you shout it out loud, scary and angry".
In my own experience, my child is scared and she always feels that I'm always angry at her. That's why every time she says something like she wants to urinate or defecate, she prefers not to say it because she thinks I will get angry again. Sometimes she says but he will ask me first, you angry mom? or are you, happy mom ?. So I gradually changed everything to be calm.
**Stop Judging**
It is not easy to be a parent. Everyone expects all of us to be able to live, educate, love, entertain, and raise our children properly. We cannot go wrong because life depends on us. After all, we must be role models for our children. In addition to being a reflection of us and our parenting, whatever our child's behavior is. Every time they make a mistake, we are doubly judged that we did not teach the child good manners. It is very easy to judge when you are not in the parental condition you are judging. When we see a mom or dad screaming, there are many possible reasons why he or she is doing this — whether it is valid or not for others. According to the study, most screaming parents do not agree with what they are doing even though others do it often. Others can compete in front of other people but when in their own home it becomes customary to shout. Parents cry because of the various emotions and pressures they feel — anger, frustration, loss of patience, and often because they fear that their child will grow up rebellious.
**You are not a bad parent**
I am a mother who inevitably yells at my child because of its extreme awkwardness and sometimes because of fatigue. Often the truths we think about shouting are big myths. But I realized that not that I shouted at my daughter was that I was a bad parent.
The bad thing is if you are not guilty of what you did then. We all have a reason why we explode, but the reason why we did it and what we do afterward, is the basis of being a good parent.
**Is it wrong to shout?**
We probably know the answer. Shouting to the child, especially if using hurtful words, is not good for it. Whether young or old, shouting does not feel good. Shrinking when this happens. We feel we are worthless. What about a child who still lacks understanding? when they do not listen, do we think they will listen more if we say what we want to say out loud and angry? When we shout, they misunderstand us even more. The louder and louder the voice, the less they enter it in their minds. After the first loud words were uttered, they seemed to hear nothing so whatever lesson you wanted him to learn he did not absorb. What happened has already happened. You shouted. You are guilty. Forgive yourself and make a way to change. But it is not too late. Doing positive interactions can balance negative outcomes. We can do much to develop the self-discipline to overcome the habit of shouting and learn to quell anger or frustration.
**According to research about screaming**
According to studies, children who are bullied eventually become insecure and aggressive, both verbally and physically. Scolding is considered bad but it is worse if what is shouted is insulting or hurtful words. There is a saying that what an adult does wrong becomes right in the eyes of the child. Remember that being aggressive is a form of bullying. If our children see us as bullies because of shouting, they will probably be the same to their neighbors. Or worse, let him be the victim of bullying because he is a man who is normal for him to be shouted at. When you shout, the child does not understand what you are saying. Either scared, resentful, or the child just ignores you. In one study, teenagers who were constantly being bullied developed behavioral issues. These include violence, vandalism, and depression.
**Reduce shouting**
But how can a child listen to us without shouting? Is it possible to reduce the shouting and completely disappear it from our system? According to Elena Maria Acuna, a mother with four children, she learned to be calm when she drowned. He has tried various ways over the years so that he does not become a beast mode when he disciplines his little ones.
**Here are some of the things you can try:**
**Try to take a deep breath.** Give the child a timeout so you also have a few minutes to calm down. Do not rush into battle without a plan. Take a deep breath first to think correctly and not get angry. Return to the child when you are ready to talk properly to address the problem using your mommy's voice instead of a scary scream.
**Use consequence instead of punishment and threat.** The consequences of punishment vary greatly. The consequences are the direct result of the wrong done. It should be accompanied by a prognosis and explanation. For example, if a child uses a toy and scolds you, you take it because he or she is using it to hurt the other. This is to do instead of, in fact, dipping him in salt, which has nothing to do with what he did wrong. You are simply teaching the child to be afraid rather than to understand what he or she has done wrong. He added that threats and punishment instill aggression, anxiety, and embarrassment are not good for raising a happy and healthy child.
**Stop while it is still early.** the child often becomes naughty because he is hungry, drowsy or he is looking for attention. It is difficult to know which of these is the reason why a child becomes stubborn, but the first step is to focus on his or her needs. it is also good to have a schedule and routine that he can follow to avoid being upset. It may not be an easy solution but it will have positive consequences in the long run.
**When losing yourself and shouting, do not be ashamed to apologize to the child and express your love to him.** Sometimes it is unavoidable that you explode. When this happens, learn to be humble and admit mistakes. Talk to the child and apologize. Explain why you did not stop shouting and remind them that neither child nor adult should do this. It teaches the child to accept mistakes and to forgive those who ask for forgiveness. Some people have trouble shouting and it may be a symptom of a bigger problem with anger management or anxiety problems. If you feel angry because of something small, it is better to ask for help with it. Some specialists respond to such problems.
**Remember:** if possible, talk to the child calmly and calmly. Let them know how much you love them. Avoid talking to them from another room or other part of the house to avoid shouting.

Children's shows that can increase IQ and EQ
There are many great children's shows that can help with their IQ (Intelligence Quotient) and EQ (Emotional Quotient).
Children not only learn in the classroom. Even by watching videos and television programs they also get information. That is why the lessons that are learned or the topics that are discussed are very important that help them to learn from the children's shows that they are watching. So for parents, it is necessary that children not only watch entertainment but also educational. There are children's shows that can help with their IQ (Intelligence quotient) and EQ (Emotional Quotient) when they are five to seven years old, in short, when the children are already schooling. At this age, children are learning math, reading, and writing skills. They used these skills for problem-solving.
The following is a list of shows that can help increase IQ (Intelligence Quotient) and EQ (Emotional Quotient):
Elena of Avalor. This is one of my son's favorites. This is a new Disney Channel show starring a Latina Princess Elena. It teaches children to value friendship, good manners, honesty, and kindness. Children can learn here the concept of another culture because it uses Spanish songs, dances, and language.
Word Girl. The protagonist of this show is a silly woman who fights the villains with her intellect. Its purpose is to expand children's vocabulary. Word Girl also teaches young viewers to pronounce difficult words. Some scenes show cartoon violence as the hero and the villains fight the villains so there are parents who do not agree to watch it with their children. But it still has a lot of good reviews because it helps in expanding vocabulary and language adjustment.
Tayo: The Little Bus. This show teaches children good manners such as being kind and being good friends. It also teaches lessons that can be done in real life such as obeying traffic laws and valuing security.
Sid the Science Kid. Using music and comedy, this children's show encourages young children to be interested in science at an early age. Although this show is recommended for four-year-olds, older bats still enjoy it easily because it encourages them to be excited about discovering things in the world around them.
Sesame Street. Do you know Big Bird, Bert, Ernie, and Elmo? They are the only characters in this children's show. we know that this show is undeniably unforgettable and their smoked songs. In one study, it was found that children who watched the show at the age of three to five years old also had higher grades in science, became more literate, and became more creative.
Mister Roger's Neighborhood. In this program, the eyes are taught to use their imagination. Some topics discuss the various emotions that children go through such as dealing with fear, loss of loved ones, and separation of the elite. There are also lessons about valuing friendships and telling the truth.
Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood. Like Mister Rogers 'previous shows, children are taught solutions to their daily problems such as boredom because they are waiting in line or wearing shoes. The goal of this program is to make children more aware of how to handle their emotions based on their age.
Arthur. This is a long time show. For children five years and older, this program discusses different situations and relationships of children such as fighting with siblings and making friends.
Nutri Ventures. It teaches viewers about nutrition and proper nutrition. This program also encourages children to be conscious of their health. Will your child be selected when it comes to the dish? Try to make him watch it.
Dora and Friends: Into the City. Believe it or not, Dora has grown up! Previously, Dora The Explorer solved only mysteries, but now that she is older, she now faces various problems. with her friends, showing how to be kind, helpful, and hardworking in all the qualities needed to help their community.
Cyber chase. The purpose of this program is to help children with math skills and problem-solving. It also shows that with the help of others and the use of knowledge, problems can be solved.
Youth: Then and Now
**The Youth Then and Now**
Young people then and now have little space in their distance from behavior, habits, habits, clothing, emotions, and other things. It is said that young people then were more respectful, obedient, and kind than today's youths. They are very sincere in their hearts and minds; on the other hand, today's youth have a reckless attitude. The youth of the time were more careful in grooming and dressing and were very faithful in obeying the law, so to speak, the youth then was shaped by preaching and humility. and marriage is something everyone is proud of. Young people today are different. They are aware of the modern age so they are more advanced in the argument that sometimes they are mistaken for disrespect for others. Extremely daring to do and fond of many types of leisure. Their goals are very high and the goal is more advanced. Many are equally wise and equally diligent among the youth then and now. The youth then and now are the hope of our people.
They are both patriotic, loving, helpful to relatives, and have goals in life. Jose Rizal said “Youth is the hope of the people”, but what is happening to young people today? Are they still the hope of our people or are they the only ones who are causing problems in our town? Yes, the youth are the hope of the people, this is true. After all, they are the ones who will help rise to the problems of the people and face another prosperous tomorrow because their minds are sharp and they can already see the mistakes and shortcomings of the older ones that they will correct in due course but is that still the case in this generation? Is that still the way young people think for themselves and their country? " Young people today are very different from our generation than”,“ young people are changing a lot ”,“ others are different now especially the young people ”that is what my grandparents always say.
Time is changing, genetics and even young people are changing in various fields whether negative or positive. My grandparents always told me about their lives when they were young. In dressing properly, speaking well and responding to the elderly, in studying well, in gestures and movements and whatnot. It is said that when the parents scolded the young people, they just kept quiet, not like now, even if the parents cry at the reprimand, the young people will still answer. They used to be very conservative in a fashion not like now as long as they keep up with the trend. Especially in the study then very serious young people will do everything to graduate unlike now they no longer value education and become careless as well. You will only see young people in malls, in computer shops, in bars, and on the sidewalks and they are forgetting their other priorities. With each passing hour, day or year, more and more young people are addicted to the things they can do. Sometimes I sit in a room and think about the situation of young people today and I ask myself "why should all young people today be careless with themselves, at school and so on".
The life of today's youth should not be better and easier due to the development of technology but the youth have used it in the wrong way. Fights on social media, getting wrong misinformation, and so on. Technology can be a big help if it is only used in a good and proper way. There are still many young people in today's generation who are treading life. May they give way to other young people who have become like them and not be careless in things. So that it will be a way to be kind, patriotic, loving, and helpful to the community. And these false futures of today's youth can be a help to them to learn and change. And rectify their background and self for the people. The youth are still the hope of the people. The youth then always obeyed the orders of their parents and even when they were young they knew how to cook and cook their food and knew how to do housework at an early age. Young people, on the other hand, are now making their parents helpers because their parents are the only ones doing household chores because the children are just playing computer games, cellphones, tablets, ipads, and other gadgets.
The Difference Between Young People then and Young People Today The influence of every generation has greatly on the formation of habits that people, especially young people, value. Anything that exists in that generation will be reflected in the habits, speech, and even the way people view it. In other words, every generation is different; he has his weaknesses and strengths, he has real gold and others are silver. The young people then compared to today can be said to have lived in a simpler world; free from the influence of current technology. They became aware of the simpler pastime. Play or leisure is characterized by physical performance and its effect is purer happiness that deepens personal relationships with others. Above all, their vision of hard work is anchored in the extravagance of the button, enduring hardship, sweating, and serious dedication towards their desired success. Meanwhile, young people today have their way of showing appreciation for things. significance. The investment of sweet success is still an extra effort. But in the complex world disguised as technology the offer is easier to live with, the return is easy interaction but often only hypocritical. In this aspect, the challenge lies with the youth of this generation. How can we deepen our appreciation for the important aspects of life and humanity? How can the spirit of appreciation for human dignity, the dignity of principle, faith, and respect for others be restored? Every generation has its differences. May this difference bring each other more pleasant growth and help in the event of becoming a real person who in every moment of life becomes human.
Vegetable plants in our backyard
Growing your vegetables is exciting and rewarding. All you need to get started is some first-rate soil and a few plants. But to be a truly successful vegetable gardener — and to do it organically — you may need to recognize what it takes to keep your flowers healthful and vigorous. Here are the basics.
"Feed the soil" is like a mantra for organic gardeners, and with exact reason. In conventional chemical agriculture, crop vegetation is certainly "fed" without delay the use of synthetic fertilizers.
When taken to extremes, this variety of chemical force-feeding can step by step impoverish the soil. And turn it from a wealthy entity teeming with microorganisms bugs and other existence forms, into an inert developing medium that exists in most cases to anchor the plants' roots, and that presents little or no nutrition in its very own right.
Although quite some fertilizers and mineral nutrients (agricultural lime, rock phosphate, greensand, etc.) have to be added periodically to the organic garden, using far the most beneficial substance for constructing and keeping a healthy, well-balanced soil is a natural matter. You can add natural depend to your soil in many different ways, such as compost, shredded leaves, animal manures, or cover crops.
Organic count number improves the fertility, the shape, and the tilth of all types of soils. In particular, organic depend provides a non-stop source of nitrogen and different nutrients that flora need to grow. It additionally gives a wealthy food supply for soil microbes. As organisms in the soil elevate out the strategies of decay and decomposition, they make these nutrients handy to plants.
We have a small yard. We used to not like to plant but when we had a pandemic it became our hobby. We do not know how to plant but due to the pandemic and lockdown in our area we thought of planting, but how ?. Youtube served as a way for us to learn. This year, it has become part of our lives to grow vegetables and fruits in the yard. But our yard is too small for growing fruits and vegetables. Therefore, through seedling bags, we were able to plant a variety of veggies and fruits. Many also want to plant trees in the yard here with us - papaya, mango, jackfruit, atis, lansones, sinegwelas, kamyas, and tyesa. In other houses in our area, there are guavas, kaymito, santol, tsiko, duhat and balimbing plants. In the conservative estimate, a typical yard of ours has at least, eight fruit-bearing trees or fruit-bearing trees in it. Often, the fruit is eaten only or for the consumption of the grower or farmer and their family. That is why I was also enticed to plant. There are vegetables and fruits. Growing vegetables and fruits has not been easy because we have just done it and we do not have much land to grow crops. That's why my husband thought of grafting and marcotting. Grafting is a horticultural technique whereby tissues of plants are joined to continue their growth together. The upper part of the combined plant is called the scion while the lower part is called the rootstock. Marcotting, which is a type of vegetative plant propagation, is commonly known as air layering that involves rooting of a part of the stem while it is still attached to the parent plant. Not enough plants in the yard to support the whole but family during the pandemic helped us. We no longer have to go out often to buy food outside.
Here are some vegetables in our backyard:
We have plenty of vegetable and fruit plants in our backyard but because of the successive typhoons, it damages.
Planting vegetables and fruits inspired me a lot because in this pandemic money can't buy life. What we can do is to produce our goods to be consumed. It is good for every family to have their yard where you can grow vegetables. This way you can choose the type of vegetables you will grow, also you will be sure to be clean and not chemically compared to the vegetables sold in the market. Therefore, if you plant only in the yard of your house, it is better to use only organic fertilizer. Especially since your crop is not yet plentiful. What vegetables are beautiful and easy to grow in your yard? Planting it in your yard is also of course almost no different from planting in a commercial area that requires proper care.
Mayon volcano rockfall strikes again
Please lord, have mercy on us!
7 ROCKFALL EVENTS RECORDED IN THE VOLCANO MAYON IN THE LAST NIGHT BNFM BICOL — Phivolcs recorded seven rockfall events in Mayon Volcano last night. The volcano is still in Alert Level 1 abnormal status so the public is constantly being kept from entering its 6 km permanent danger zone. Based on Phivolcs' ground deformation data, the volcanic area is still swollen although there has been a slight subsidence of its central part since July 2020. Its emissions are less than the baseline average of 436 tonnes / day. Phivolcs warns that Mayon is still in abnormal condition so the risk of rockfall and the possible sudden eruption of ash from its top remains. It also avoids the public from the streams and river channels that the lahar goes through, especially during bad weather and during the rainy season. Phivolcs continues to monitor volcanic activity for immediate notification and warning to the public and those concerned.

Does your child already have a screen dependency disorder?
Sometimes our children are very dependent on gadgets but we have not noticed. gadgets are their focus because of their parents' willingness to use gadgets.
Moms and daddies, is your child always focused on smartphones? Of course, phones and tablets help to entertain — and keep quiet! —The little ones. But did you know that overdose can lead to screen dependency disorder?
Children under age 2 should have no screen time. Limit screen time to 1 to 2 hours a day for children over age 2. Despite what ads may say, videos that are aimed at very young children do not improve their development.
I have a 3-year-old daughter, she is fond of using gadgets. It starts when I did my household chores and I have no time to play along with her. Gadgets are one of the main things I give my child every time I become busy or have an appointment and call. I know that it is bad for her, I'm guilty about that. Sometimes, I didn't notice her being dependent on gadgets affects her attitude. That is why I was able to change her screen time. Now, I prefer to give her activities like writing, coloring, drawing, and some educational activities than do some gadgets.
**What exactly screen dependency disorder?**
According to research, screen dependency disorder (SDD) is a disorder that can cause insomnia, backaches, weight gain, eye problems, and headaches. It can also cause poor nutrition. According to Dr. Aric Sigman, one of the authors of the research paper, "Associations are emerging between screen dependency disorders (SDD) such as Internet Addiction Disorder and specific neurogenetic polymorphisms, abnormal neural tissue and neural function." screen dependency disorder Kids today are very much dependent on gadgets. But screen dependency disorder can be avoided! Just disciplined. He added, "Intensive routine exposure to certain screen activities during critical stages of neural development may alter gene expression resulting in structural, synaptic, and functional changes in the developing brain." This means that children's long-term brain function may be affected because they are at an age where their brain function is developing. Even brain damage is also possible. Screen dependency disorder (SDD) is compared to other vices or addictions so it is worrying. No parent wants their child to be addicted to anything that can be with them. So, moms and daddies, you need to be aware of how long your child's screen time is every day. Is it just right or is it too much? Their dependence on smartphones or gadgets just so they don't get bored has a bad effect on their growth.
**Important tips about your child's screen time:**
Here are some important things to keep in mind when it comes to your child's screen time to prevent screen dependency disorder:
Do not let them become overly dependent on screentime just to keep them from getting bored. Encourage them to play outside or with real toys.
Babies 18 months and under should not be used by smartphones or even any gadgets.
Be sure to choose a high-quality TV show for your child. Always be with them when watching videos, especially when they are online.
Limit your child's screen time. Do not exceed one or two hours when your child is over two years old.
According to experts, SDD can impact your kid’s behavior. Screen addicted kids have shown up with problematic behavior like withdrawal symptoms including no interest in outside or indoor activities. They might even lie about the duration of their mobile usage and despite all the hazards, they might continue with the same. Experts said that those who suffer from SDD are perhaps, diagnosed with the microstructural and volumetric differences in both, white and grey portions of their brain.
Nowadays, gadgets have advantages and disadvantages for users (kids, adults) depends on how and where they used it. As a mom, I need to guide my child by using gadgets and need to limit her to avoid some conflict in their growth and development.

**Risk factors of having kidney disease**
The greatest risk factor for kidney stones is making less than 1 liter of urine per day. This is why kidney stones are common in premature infants who have kidney problems. However, kidney stones are most likely to occur in people between the ages of 20-50.
Different factors can increase your risk of developing a stone. In the United States, whites is more likely to have kidney stones than black people.
According to the national institute of diabetes and digestive and kidney diseases (NIDDK) Sex also plays a role. More men than women develop kidney stones.
A history of kidney stones can increase your risk. So does a family history of kidney stones.
**Family o personal history**
If one of your family members has had kidney stones, there is a good chance that you will have one. Likewise, if you have had kidney stones even though they have been removed or lost, they can still come back.
**Dehydration**
Drinking an insufficient amount of water a day increases your chances of experiencing kidney disease symptoms.
Especially those who live in hot areas and sweat excessively are more likely to have it.
**Certain diets**
Eating foods high in protein, salt, sodium, and sugar also increases the risk of developing kidney disease.
Because salty foods, for example, increase the amount of calcium in the kidneys which in turn forms kidney stones.
**Being obese**
Being obese or having a high BMI or mass index is also associated with having kidney stones. Weight gain is also one of the leading causes of kidney disease.
**Digestive diseases at the surgery**
Undergoing gastric bypass surgery and developing inflammatory bowel disease or chronic diarrhea causes a change in a person's digestive process. This in turn affects the body's absorption of calcium and water which increases the level of the stone-forming substance in the urine.
**Other medical conditions**
There are also medical conditions that can increase your chances of feeling kidney disease symptoms. Some of these are renal tubular acidosis, cystinuria, hyperparathyroidism, and other urinary tract infections.

Damages of super typhoon rolly
Even before PAGASA dropped this announcement, the typhoon was considered the strongest to hit the world in 2020. Typhoon Rolly is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Tuesday, November 3.
Due to the location of the Philippines in the Pacific Ocean, typhoons often hit the country. Some in extreme force caused severe damage just like Typhoon Yolanda on November 8, 2013.
Authorities have counted 10 victims so far in the Bicol region from Category 5 Typhoon Rolly (Goni), the world’s strongest this year, in the provinces of Albay and Catanduanes.
Rolly threw away massive rain and whipped up strong winds in Southern Luzon early on Sunday (November 1), causing massive flooding and lahar flow from Mayon Volcano in the towns of Guinobatan and Camalig in Albay.
In Guinobatan town, Albay, three residents from two villages—San Francisco and Travesia—at the foot of Mayon was killed when lahar, a mix of volcanic debris and water, came rushing down to populated areas at the height of Rolly.
The typhoon packed sustained wind of up to 225 kph and gustiness of 310 kph when it made its second landfall near Tiwi town, also in Albay at 7:20 a.m. on Sunday.
Let me share with you a video and pictures where lahar flow happened. I am a resident of barangay San Rafael. It's almost so close to reaching our barangay of lahar flowing and I thank God that he saves us.
https://youtu.be/l4o7vT5khd0
This video is only part of guinobatan where I am, but the entire Albay affected by supertyphoon rolly.
For those who quarry and for those in government who allow excessive quarrying at the foot of Mayon Volcano, that is the face of families whose lives have been ruined. They pay for the quarrying that takes place. The feeling of a father just staring while digging his son's corpse. The tears of a mother who has been looking for her child for 2 days and can be found buried in the sand in a town 25km away from their house. The hardships of a grandmother who tried to evacuate but could not cope with the passion of lahar and she were completely buried. The nervousness of a child who had to lift his old father to be evacuated to a high place because lahar was coming. The grief of the families who did not save even clothes and have problems with how to get up and start again. It's heartbreaking.
How long will we abuse nature? How long will we allow other people to get rich in exchange for the lives of families who have nothing to gain from that quarrying? How many lives are needed? How much else does it need to be deleted from the map? How many more stories to pass? These are our places: Maipon, San Francisco, Travesia, San Rafael, Busay. Names of barangays that have almost disappeared from the map. And in those barangays, hundreds of families have to start from scratch.
Please stop quarrying for the sake of families who continue to be affected. According to our governor Bichara, the lava came from volcanic debris and not quarrying. However, I am still pushing for an investigation on the quarrying done at the foot of the volcano. They are partly to blame for the devastation brought about by the typhoon.
However, I am still pushing for an investigation on the quarrying done at the foot of the volcano. They are partly to blame for the devastation brought about by the typhoon.
Now, another LPA in the eastern Visayas was facing is already a hurricane or Tropical Depression, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA). It will be called Typhoon Tonyo, in case it is considered a full-fledged typhoon by PAGASA and will immediately raise Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 in large parts of the Visayas, BicolRegion, and CaragaRegion due to the approaching typhoon which is expected to landfall in EasternSamar this afternoon or evening. Please be alert and monitor other updates now that there is another threat of typhoons in our country.
It has caused great damage to the country due to the storm surge. Due to the devastation caused by the country, many provided and delivered assistance from around the world. However, controversy has tarnished these donations after some donations were not handed out, including those caught in Bulacan. Hoping not to happen again.
No one in the world except Bicolanos can claim that they survived a pandemic and the world's strongest landfall of any storm in human history at the same time
We are not Oragon for nothing 💪

All saints day activities in the Philippines
What is all saints day?
All saints day here in the Philippines also known as todos Los Santos. It is celebrated on the 1st day of November. It is celebrated in remembrance of all the saints, whether known or not. Some Filipinos said that the catholic church believes that this day is a tribute to those who have achieved a beatific view of the sky.
What is all soul's day?
All souls day is this celebration is in remembrance of all the souls of the dead, those who have not yet reached heaven.
What is "Undas"?
Here in the Philippines it is called Undas also known as all souls day or feast of the dead.
They said "undas" that celebrated now come from the culture of Mexico. A hundred years will pass when people practice that culture. It's during the time that Spaniards not yet about to come when Mexico's cultures still prevailed. Here in our country, the cemetery is the center of the celebration of all soul's day. People went to the tomb of their loved ones to offer some flowers, foods, put some light on candles, and pray to offer for them. It also the time that families are reunited, where they were able to talk for a long time. Sometimes they are playing some cards and other pastimes.
Aside from going to the cemetery, during all souls day many people put a light candle outside their homes.
They said it is a sign of remembering the souls of their loved ones. The numbers of candles depending on how many souls they are praying for. When I was a kid I remember that the candle lighting place beside our doors.
Another accustomed by Filipinos is what we-called "pangaluluwa", it is a tradition like trick or treating in America. It is practiced by a group of young people that comes into our house to ask for alms by singing for souls. The limos that they receive is for the souls in purgatory: the type of songs of the group that trick or treating is as follows:
" kaluluwa kaming tambing/sa purgatoryo kami galing/ doon po ang gawa naming, araw, gabi manalangin/kung kami po ay lilimusan/dali-daliin po lamang/baka kami mapagsarhan/ng pinto ng kalangitan".
Halloween is also accustomed by our Filipinos that we celebrated and we can't deny that we adapt this to Americans.
What is Halloween?
Halloween is celebrated tonight of October 31st, before all saints day. Mostly, the activities during Halloween do the tricks or treats ( wherein young people went to houses to request some candies), attending the costume party, making Jack-ó-lanterns, making some bonfire, went to the scariest place, the storytelling scariest story, and watching some scariest movies like what we do last year because this year is no celebration of Halloween party due to pandemic crisis.
Filipinos have different activities during all soul's day. But in the midst of them, we must know why we do them We should always remember that the purpose of all souls day in commemoration of our loved ones who passed away. An offering of prayer and visiting in their tomb is we must not forget it.
However, mass gatherings have been banned because of the covid-19 pandemic that surging around the country and the world. That includes the huge crowds that normally go to cemeteries at this time. So, we expected that day (October 31st-November 2) has been suspended to visit our loved ones in the cemetery. It is ordered for the safety of the city’s residents.
There will be one other occasion this year when masses of Filipinos normally come together – the nine dawn masses of Simbang Gabi starting December 16. There is a big chance, according to a University of the Philippines team monitoring COVID-19 infections in the country that we may be back to close-to-normal living before the end of the year, with the steady drop in the number of cases.
Filipinos negative traits
We all know that some Filipinos are friendly, helpful, cheerful, and sociable. Those are some good characteristics of Filipino but Filipino also have a bad habit and we can't deny it. These behaviors affect the entire nation, so we need to try to address a problem instead of creating new ones.
**Some negative traits of Filipinos are:**
**Procrastination.** This is also known as the "mañana habit". The common habit of young people today is to postpone their school activities just like projects. They have become accustomed to passing on projects given to them by teachers when they are to be submitted. It makes them stress because they force themselves to finish the activities earlier. It can also cause unpleasant results of what we do because we no longer have time to beautify it. These words they used "bukas na lang, mamaya na lang or sa susunod na lang" is due to laziness.
**"Bahala na" attitude**. This is a mentality of what goes around comes around. They are trusting of belief in holy providence or leaving everything in the hands of fate.
**Crab mentality or crab brain.** This is the root of insecurity. It is based on the belief that "if I can not get what I want, you must not get what you want. On people, the crab mentality is bad behavior, because it has selfishness. A person who will do everything even if others trample on him just to get what he wants. This person will do everything to prevent his fellow man from succeeding due to envy, conspiracy, and competitiveness.
**Lack of self-discipline.** This is reflected in how Filipinos break laws to save time. For instance, a "jaywalking rules" Filipinos will still choose to cross the disastrous road because it's more convenient to cross there. Laziness and lack of enough internal strength prevent one from being more self-disciplined. In this situation, one avoids doing things that require effort and perseverance.
**Filipino time.** It refers to the Filipinos have their own time which is known to be minutes or hours behind the scheduled or standard time. This is an unpleasant habit that needs to change by Filipino people because it hinders productivity and progress. You may think that you're only wasting your time but other people's time also.
**Ningas Kugon.** Filipinos are interested to start a plan but the attention slowly fades away leaving the word unfinished.
**Balat Sibuyas.** Filipinos are popular for being onion-skinned or easily wounded at perceived insults.
So, who are you that I've mentioned above?
Generally, it happened all of these toxic Filipino traits to is but for me, I always do the procrastination or the mañana habit. It has happened to me when I got lazy and sometimes I got prioritize unimportant things rather than important matters. So, I try to fix these issues by thinking about how to avoid laziness:
Do things in advance. do it while there is still time.
make a permanent and peaceful place to not be bothered to work.
if you take away the things that can give us busy such as mobile phones, computers, television, etc.
We put in our minds that I need to finish the project even further off the deadline.
Adjust the time management. If possible finish the easy task first then followed by the hard one. Also, do a realistic work schedule.
Negative characteristics, that’s what these habits are. But luckily for us, we’re also known for being resilient, for being strong, and go on with everything can be better. But for this change to happen, we must be willing to subject ourselves to change as well. Let’s not let these habits bring down who we are as individuals and as a nation. Be the change that this country needs.

Different kinds of love
Love is probably the most feeling talked-about. In the crowds, in the stories, it is inevitable not to mention it. Some people say love is the best thing people can feel. Isn't the theme of love selling a lot of movies? Whether it be local or Hollywood, no month or year goes by without a romantic movie being released. Because people are fond of watching love stories or romantic movies. In a television series from morning till night is not losing a love story. Those love stories had marked with people. Do you familiar with the love story of Romeo and Juliet? I would not be surprised if you knew it already because it's the most popular love story in the world. So it's not surprising that love makes the world go round for some of us. Waking up, eating, sleeping, Love is what they have in mind. There are some fall love and not just their loved ones, the world revolves around them. they can still do other things they need to do. But some say that they have never experienced falling in love. If they feel it, they are the one who refuses it. If they feel it. Somehow, you will always think, we are the same people but does it matter if we are in love? What do you think?
Well, I think there are some different kinds of love. What I am referring to here is the love between two people.
**There is some kind of love:**
**Infatuation**- an idealistic feeling or based on fantasy only versus real experience.
**Romantic love** - a love given to a person, you feel passion, attraction, care, and respect.
**Eros** - a love that usually has sexual involvement.
**Companionate love** - a love for a friend who wants you to be with. This is also known as affectionate love, friendship-based love, or attachment.
**Unconditional love** - a love for a person no matter what happened. It's like "I offer my love freely without condition".
**Conditional love** - a love with rules.
But in my own opinion, love depends on the person who loves because people who love have their expression and feelings of love such as:
**Love that is shown and felt** - the type where you feel that someone loves you, whether you love him or not.
**Love that is not shown but felt** - this is what others call "non-showy" a loving person. You can show the person you love, that you love him, even if others don't see it. Isn't that what matters?
**Love that is shown but not felt** - Maybe love is deceptive. a person deceives his beloved and his lover deceives.
**Love that is not shown and also not felt** - the fourth kind of love that has passed. It may show and felt before, but later, it's gone.
They said love is like communication because communication doesn't become complete without an answer to the person who wants to communicate. In love, if the loving heart is not answered, it will be hurt. With this in mind we can see that the kind of love can also be divided into two:
**Reciprocated love** - when someone loves the person he loves.
**Unrequited love** - when you are just a friend or just an acquaintance or even without regard for the person you love (unlucky love). ouch!
When you think about it, there are other types of love that two people experience with each other. The types of love mentioned have other characteristics. There is taboo, there is legal. There has been developed for a long time, some are just fast (love at first sight). There is voluntary, there is also compulsory.
Generally, love is what we need because it gives your life meaning. It teaches you a lot of lessons that can help you in your life. Love can change you and your life to a better one. Sometimes, it may seem complicated but always remember that giving up is not an option. Love gives you a positive attitude and it makes you the best version of yourself. You could always give without loving, but you can never love without giving.
The true essence of Christmas
Now that Christmas is about to come, we are all having fun, giving gifts, puts up Christmas decorations, preparing a party, and wishing merry Christmas.
Though we have different tastes when celebrating it, not everyone knows what is the true essence of Christmas and why is it so special.
For some people, it is a time of grief because they are not with their loved ones abroad, do not have enough money to buy a gift and party preparations.
But, it is the opposite for others. Christmas is a time of joy and happiness because this is the time when Jesus Christ was born. the whole family came together and prepared various foods to celebrate it.
If we look and notice when celebrating the birth of Jesus, we are all happy and there seems to be no heavy passage where a smile on the lips can be seen in each other.
It started when Jesus was born and three kings went to Bethlehem and spread the word throughout the world that the king had been born. he was born from a poor family and was sent to save the world.
However, he is love and hope and king not because of him, we will die because of our sins.
He was born to pay for our sins because we inherited sin from Adam and Eve, so Jesus is the only way to be saved.
In the meantime, we will repent of our sins and accept him as god and savior and we will be saved and cleansed from our sins.
So we celebrate Christmas because God gave his only son to save us from our sins.
Why is it so important to celebrate Christmas? The following are some reason why we celebrate Christmas day:
This is Jesus christ's birthday. Many of us believe that Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem on December 25th. This the most important reason why we celebrate because this is the day that our savior Jesus Christ was born. So it's a must to take time and fully appreciate Christmas day. Because of our excitement every Christmas, some of us dramatize how c Jesus Christ was born. There portraying maria also portraying Jose and there also portraying Jesus Christ. because this is the way for others to remember and celebrate the birthday of Jesus.
This is the time when the family is together. This is the time that most of our family from abroad have their vacation because this is the time that they can focus and gives attention to their loved ones.
This is the time to go for a walk or vacation with loved ones. Others may have their vacation and others are watching a movie together with their loved ones.
Brings a variety of fun and amazement due to the variety of Christmas decorations. Because of Christmas, people become joyful and this is the chance they will see the beautiful and shining Christmas lights as it hangs on the Christmas trees. Others happily look at the different types of lanterns hanging in the parks. And most of all many of us look forward to watching the fireworks display on its scheduled opening day. They say it can relieve tiredness especially when you watch the person you love in life with you.
This is the time of giving and sharing of blessings. There is an exchange gift when there is a Christmas party or even at work whether public or private. So many young Filipinos are very eager when they see their grandparents or even their godparents who will give their gifts every Christmas day.
Earning money and giving more meaning to Christmas by chanting or singing Christmas songs. Some of them have a choral group and others go solo. They also use some different types of singing like a medley, pop they also use it for different types of singing, and others like it.
This is the time when workers will receive a bonus. Many workers are waiting for December because here they will receive their bonuses from their employment. This is also they spend so that they have something to prepare like "Noche Buena".
Tasting an extraordinary food preparation or Noche Buena. Every eve, families prepare midnight breakfasts or special meals that are often served every Christmas day, along with round-shaped fruits in the belief that they are lucky. This is the time when many different types of dishes are being prepared like salad, Menudo, Leche flan, Lechon, fried chicken, and many more. As we wait for Christmas day we fully prepared for this celebration. The true essence of christmas is not only seen in a beauty of christmas lights or chritmas tree, not with a nice lantern, but to a whole family celebrating Christmas at the same time. Christmas is more joyful if family is complete, eating and celebrating during christmas day.
Christmas is one of our ways to remind our loved ones of the true meaning of life and it is also the right time to let Jesus Christ come into our hearts so that we may receive joy and peace.
For us, christmas day is one the most important celebration because it it the day that jesus christ was born and this is the time that we need to go to the church and give thanks for all the blessings we received.
Decision-making
What is decision-making?
Decision making is the process of making choices by identifying a decision, gathering information, and assessing alternative resolutions. Using a step-by-step decision-making process can help you make more deliberate, thoughtful decisions by organizing relevant information and defining alternatives.
Every day all of us make decisions, there is no easy formula that will indicate if you are making decisions whether it be right or wrong. We are just human that doesn't always make things perfect. The best thing to do is to learn all possible ideas to choose one which is reasonable and balanced action. The most fearsome decisions you can do is an essential one, but there are some simple things you can do to lessen your worries about that kind of decision such as looking at the worst situation, compiling a spreadsheet, and following your mistakes.
**There are three steps in decision-making:**
**Gather information**. The creative thinking of people may not be aware, but their ideas, decisions, and solutions will usually appear when you are not overthinking about the problem. In other words, allow time for new ideas to emerge. That's the reason why people meditate.
It's important to ask and gather information and ideas before making any decision. You don't need to take a lot of time to this exercise because you can focus on breathing daily routine like cooking, brushing your teeth, and walking.
**Interpret the facts.** Now that you have the facts you need – it is time to interpret them so you can make your decision. In the case of the airline seat, the interpretation was straightforward – I couldn’t count on having a seat next to me empty – so I chose my seat accordingly. The pitfall with business decisions is that sometimes we let our decision making be clouded by doubt and fear. Don’t let those emotions in. Make your decision based on the facts as you see them.
**The decisions.** You’ve looked at the options – now it is time to stretch your imagination and see what choices you have. Now is the time to make a decision. If you’ve done steps 1 and 2 – you should know the right choice. Make it and start implementing it. Don’t second guess yourself.
**There are some tips in decision making:**
Nothing will be perfect. After you decide, proceed without remorse and forget the alternatives you did not choose.
Your options may be equally good after you think carefully. Make sure you choose the best one.
In other cases, you may not have enough information to make a good decision. The best thing to do is gathered more information.
After making the decision, important new information can lighten the situation.
Set a new deadline for a decision.
Trying too hard can make you ignore the obvious: avoid thinking too much.
Be careful not to get involved in decision making. Researchers say our willingness to leave as many doors open as possible will result in bad decisions.
Weigh the pros and cons.
At some other point, indecision becomes a decision not to make, which can be the worst choice of all
Treat all experiences as studies.
**Decision-making warnings**
Avoid excessive anxiety.
Keep away from those people who seem to want the best for you and treat you as if you do not know what to do.
Decision making is a fundamental factor in the business. Some decisions are obvious and can be made quickly, without investing much time and effort in the decision-making process. Others, however, require substantial consideration of the circumstances surrounding the decision, available alternatives, and potential outcomes. Fortunately, several methods can be used when making a difficult decision, depending on various environmental factors. Some decisions are best made by groups. Group decision-making processes also have multiple models to follow, depending on the situation. Even when specific models are followed, groups and individuals can often fall into potential decision-making pitfalls. If too little information is available, decisions might be made based on a feeling. On the other hand, if too much information is presented, people can suffer from analysis paralysis, in which no decision is reached because of the overwhelming number of alternatives.
"Make and be confident in your decisions..stop looking for people's approval for everything, live your life, and do what you want".

How're your lives affects by covid-19?
**What is Covid-19?**
In the news, Covid-19 is an infectious disease aused by Sars-cov. 2. The said virus began in Wuhan, China, and spread all over the world that caused an outbreak.
**In our daily lives**
This pandemic has affected thousands of people who are infected and sick because of the non-stop spreading of viruses. Until now coronavirus continues to affect population like persons with disabilities, people living in poverty situations, old persons, etc., actually it is non-predictable because all of us may infect if we don't follow the protocols given by the authority.
**Affects on education**
The public policy method available to enhance our skill is going to school. School time can raise social skills and it increases a child's ability rather than online schooling. But the problem is how much the covid-19 interruption child's learning? Are we going to stop learning by not doing anything and for covid-19 disappeared? Well, we need to find or use other methods of learning to continues it. However, accepts the consequences of today's new normal schooling. The new normal schooling depends on parents if they want to enroll their children. But most of them decide not to enroll because of worried about the covid-19 and lack of financial status.
**Effects on the economy**
On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) characterized COVID-19 as a pandemic, pointing to over 3 million cases and 207,973 deaths in 213 countries and territories. The infection has not only become a public health crisis but has also affected the global economy. The significant economic impact has already occurred across the globe due to reduced productivity, loss of life, business closures, trade disruption, and decimation of the tourism industry.
As the spread of the virus is likely to continue disrupting economic activity and negatively impact manufacturing and service industries, especially in developed countries, we expect that financial markets will continue to be volatile. As outbreaks of novel infections are not likely to disappear soon, proactive international actions are required not only to save lives but also to protect economic prosperity.
We don't even know when will it end. People are worried, paranoid, and problematic, especially during the quarantine period. Just like my family, it's a nightmare for us because we are not living in a normal situation. No mass gathering, not going to church, social distancing, don't step out of the house are the things that should avoid during the covid-19 lockdown. But despite the crisis, I am thankful that no one got infected with my family. But now that we are in a modified general community quarantine and some places are in a new normal I'm a bit worried because we all know that virus is still there, that's why we always practice doing's.
We have a lot of lessons learned. We learned to be more careful, to wash our hands, to wear facemasks. We learned how to provide food without going out instead of going to the local market to buy our fresh food and vegetables, the stall owner would send out videos of his stall and we would order by text. Boxes full of fresh produce would arrive at our door, sometimes with a personal message.
However, we always think positively in the middle of a pandemic. It is also true that staying indoors for so long can be quite depressing but life must go on. I keep active on home workouts like an exercise routine, cook something new, do household chores, do backyards, and many more to lessen your boredom.
Superstition
What is superstition? And why do people believe in superstition?
Superstition means a belief in supernatural forces resulting from ignorance, fear of the unknown, trust in magic, or a false conception of causation.
According to the psychologist, it derives from the belief that a connection exists between co-occurring, non-related events.
Some people, engaging with superstitious behaviors to gives a sense of control and reduces anxiety—which is why levels of superstition increase at times of stress and angst. Indeed, researchers have observed how in Germany between 1918 and 1940 measures of economic threat correlated directly with measures of superstition.
Would you consider yourself a superstitious person if you probably say "bless you" when someone sneezes?
Well, according to our ancestors thought when someone sneezes it is the time that our soul separates from our body. To prevent the devil from stealing the soul the incantation is "bless you".
In the 21st century, those superstitious beliefs still exist. It varies from culture to culture all over the world. Here in the Philippines, superstition is still practiced by some Filipinos especially the old people. They believe that these superstitious beliefs can help them cope with life, sometimes they believe in it because they feel that they are safe from the bad elements and to lessen their fear of the unknown.
Here is some example of Pinoy Superstitions:
Do not fit your wedding dress before your wedding day. They believe that doing said fitting will cost the brides life.
Sweeping the floor at night. They said it will bring you back luck because it means you are sweeping wealth away in the house.
When someone sees you and you appear headless, that means you are about to die. The same belief applies to photograph in which your head appears to be missing.
When three people pose a picture, the one who in the middle will be the first to die.
Crossing paths with a black cat is a bad omen.
Bringing home food served at a wake will bring bad luck. If you do, the dead will follow you home.
Siblings should not marry within the same year or what we so-called "sukob".
Turn your plate when someone leaves in the middle of a meal, to ensure safe travels for the persons leaving.
Serve noodles at celebrations for a long-life.
When your things are missing and reappear, we are accusing elves.
Causes of superstition
Blaming outer situations- people tend to attribute good outcomes to themselves and bad ones to others.
False cause discrimination- when two events happen in progression, we think the preceding event causes the succeeding event.
Filling the gaps- people have a strong intention to explain things and fill in the gaps. And when we can’t understand things with reason, we apply it to superstitious beliefs.
Lack of control- What we can explain, we can usually control. When we have control, we feel powerful. Without control, we’re powerless.
Do I believe in superstition? How about you?
Well, my answer is no but I believe in coincidence, but answering "no" doesn't mean I didn't respect and practice this kind of Philippine culture. There's a saying that better safe than sorry. When I got pregnant, I"m surrounded by old people which is believing in superstition. They have a lot of superstitious beliefs about my pregnancy but it's up to me if I want to follow ad believe in it. But then, I follow half of their advice.
However, we need to respects other beliefs and accept whatever they want, even if you don't agree with them.
