The food Store Christmas vanilla bavarois chestnut cake
At the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Kuala Lumpur which is at the Intermark Mall, behind the lobby at where I am pointing have a cafe called " The Food Store".
Tomorrow will be my birthday, so I decided to buy their Christmas vanilla bavarois chestnut cake to celebrate. It is sold at RM16 per slice. This type of cake is a Yule log or bûche de Noël, a traditional Christmas cake. It is often served as a dessert near Christmas. This one is made with bavarois cream which is a type of set cream made from custard, whipped cream, and gelatine. On top is covered with a layer of berry jam.
