Warung Prima salted egg kunyit sotong rice
Today I revisit this stall called Warun Prima Kunyit at the KLCC Suria Mall food court to try another dish. It is well known for serving dishes with kunyit which is Turmeric in Malay. Turmeric is a spice, widely used in Asian cooking. It is one of the main ingredients of curry powder and is used to give it the characteristic yellow colour. It is also delicious added to rice dishes, seafood, and mustards, and pickles.
I decided to order their salted egg kunyit sotong rice which is sold at RM19 per plate. Sotong means squid in Malay. When you buy one of their rice dish, you get to buy their limau asam boi and the tarik kunyit for only RM2 per cup. I brought a cup of limau sam boi along. The salted egg kunyit sotong rice contains salted egg kunyit fried squid, stir-fry vegetables, a fried egg and a bowl of rice. The squids are crispy when I eat, it shows that it is just fried when I order. Overall I am satisfied with the meal. Can't complain much about the price since I am eating inside the KLCC Suria Mall.
