Char Siew and Japanese potato salad
For today's dinner, I was thinking hard about what new way to eat. An idea came to my mind, I went to the Isetan Pork section at the KLCC Suria Mall to find Char Siu since there will be a 50% discount during the evening time. When I reached there, only left 1 pack of Char Siu.
With the 50% discount, I only pay RM9.35 instead of RM18.73 for the Char Siew. For those who don't know what a Char Siew means, in Chinese word it means "fork roasted" after the traditional cooking method for the dish: long strips of seasoned boneless pork are skewered with long forks and placed in a covered oven or over a fire. I also decided to buy some japanese potato salad as a side dish which I greatly regret because it cost RM8.15 causing me to spend more than the budget I set for dinner. I decorate my food to make it look like some sort of western meal. Here are pictures of my Char Siew and Japanese potato salad.
