Teppanyaki Matsuoka Pork Yakisoba

For today's dinner, I have it at Teppanyaki Matsuoka, a Japanese stall located at the food court in Lot 10 Mall LG level. As the stall name implied, it is known for using a flat iron griddle to cook food.

This time I order their yakisoba. There are 4 options to choose from, chicken, pork, beef, and seafood. I order the pork yakisoba which cost me RM20 per plate. Yakisoba is a Japanese noodle stir-fry dish. soba means buckwheat, but soba in yakisoba means Chinese noodles made from wheat flour, and are typically flavored with a condiment similar to Worcestershire sauce. it is prepared by frying ramen-style wheat noodles with bite-sized pork and finely chopped vegetables like cabbage, onions, bean sprouts, and carrots. Then flavored with yakisoba sauce, salt, and pepper. It can be served with a variety of garnishes, such as seaweed powder, shredded pickled ginger, bonito fish flakes, or Japanese-style mayonnaise.

After placing my order, I can see them preparing my food in front of me. I think this is actually my first time eating a freshly cooked yakisoba. Before this, all the yakisoba I normally eat is those packed in a box and eaten cold. It definitely tastes better when eaten hot.
