Malaysia 2010 125th Anniversary of the Malayan Railway (KTM) Commemorative coin On June 21, 2010, commemorative coins in conjunction with the 125th Anniversary of the Malayan Railway (KTM) was launched on June 21, 2010 by Y.A.B Tan Sri Muhyiddin Hj. Mohd Yassin as the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia at the Kuala Lumpur Railway Station. Three types of legal tender commemorative coins were issued for the 125-year-old Railway of Malaya (KTM).

The front of the coin displays the development and transformation of the country's railroad since the past 125 years, ranging from coal-powered locomotive train to Electric Train System (ETS), the latest train in the existing KTM railway group. The word "Keretapi Tanah Melayu" and "125 Years" are listed on the top of the coin, while the year "1885 - 2010" is displayed on the bottom of the coin. The back of the coin displays the image of the existing KTM logo in the center of the coin. The word "BANK NEGARA MALAYSIA" as the issuing authority of the coin is shown on the top of the coin, while the face value is displayed on the bottom of the coin. The commemorative coins are minted and packed by Bank Negara Malaysia and sold on 22 June 2010 at Bank Negara Malaysia's headquarters (BNMLINK) and at its branches in Penang, Johor Bahru, Kuala Terengganu, Kota Kinabalu, and Kuching.
