Oriental Star black truffle and salted chicken congee

Today I visit Oriental Star, a restaurant specializing in fine Cantonese cuisine for a light lunch, it is located at the EkoCheras Mall if you ever what to visit it.

After looking at the menu, I order the black truffle and salted chicken congee which cost RM17.16 per bowl. For those who don't know what Congee is, it is a type of rice porridge or gruel eaten in Asian countries. When eaten as plain rice congee, it is most often served with side dishes. When additional ingredients such as meat, fish, and flavourings are added while preparing the congee, it is most often served as a meal on its own, especially for people who are ill. When I order this, I was expecting them to use truffle oil instead of a real truffle slice. When the meal is served, I spot 3 small slices of black truffle. The truffle makes this meal very interesting, it gives the congee an earthy, pungent, and deliciously funky taste.
