Do i have to know everything? May022022 Article#7 Election fever is at its highest peak in the country.Canditates in all levels are busy roaming around for people to know them atleast a bit.Rallies ,motorcades and house to house events are being held by different political parties.Using different tactics,gimmicks or methods to court people to vote for them. Just like a man trying to win the heart of the woman he is inlove with.Putting his best foot forward. Courting not only the girl of his dream but as well as her family , friends and relatives.Why? because we Filipinos believe that in order to have a smooth relationship with the love of your life you must also win the hearts of the people around her. Me as a parent would like to know a bit of the family background of the man that might court my daughter in the future. Not to intrude or judge of course but just to have an idea of what kind of a man or person he is. Is he a respectful man? A good person ? Is he worth the man next to his father to be entrusted to with my dearest daughter? Few important things that we parents should know . Do i have to know everything? Hmmm... not necessarily. I dont have " all the time " to do that. We have other things to do as parents to our precious children . We will leave the rest for our daughter to know more and decide later coz we trust her to choose the right one. But , the man should gain our " TRUST". Having good vibe towards him would be enough for all of us to have a good start. In choosing the right " ONE" Going back in choosing who to vote for starting with local upto the highest position. Do i have to know everything ? Oh! how i wish i have means to know everything. How i wish i could " time travel" and go back in the past to know exactly what happened, to answer all the question that buzzing on my mind , to know the truth without the hassle of bumping to misleading articles on social media. How i wish i could read minds for me to know whose telling lies. But gee... it's not like that. So what to do? My way , my criteria A good track record Those who are willing to present their SALN (Statement of Asset and Liabilities) publicly. Educated enough to understand and obey the law. Having a platform that is nearest to " reality" and not just for the sake of campaigning. Someone i could see or sense sincerity and responsibility. And lastly , someone i have a " good vibe" too. Well , some of you will probably say that the last one is too shallow to base your choice. But for a person who does not want to rely on social media and not interested to hear every opinion or say of people supporting their candidates with some toxic nonsense. And for all those people who does not have even a basic education to understand what is happening around ... How would you expect them to choose , but through their feelings or vibe. Final thought Why? why someone i have a good vibe with? because that is the only thing i could " TRUST " to at the moment. My instinct , myself . Do i have to know everything ? My answer is " NO", because i dont have the means to know everything ... and that's reality. My opinion may not matter to you or to anyone but my " VOTE" does matter. Who does not want to start with a clean slate? I guess , everybody does. grey23espartinas
