26th july,2020 Human psychology is very interesting.This case was narrated by a doctor..It is about a lady patient who had a belief that, there was a snake inside her abdomen.She had done several checkups but doctors found everything normal in her reports.She had no organic disease.But the lady was never convinced.So doctors arranged a operation to appease her.At the day of operation,she was given anaesthesia.Doctor gave her incision in abdomen ,did nothing and sutured it. They managed a dead snake before operation and put it in a tray. When the lady recovered from anaesthesia, doctors showed the dead snake to her and made her believe that the snake was taken out from her abdomen and she is now completely ok.The lady felt relieved by seeing the sutures on her abdomen and the snake.She got released form hospital after few days. Everything was going normal then,she was recovering. But then,one of her relatives,who was aware of her health conditons raised a question to her ' Did the doctors find the eggs that the snake laid in your abdomen?' Could you tell of what happened next? Thanks for patience reading.❤

She started to think there were more snakes within her hatched from the eggs.. That's why she got panic attack. sometimes mental illness seems to be more worse than the physical one.

Professors takes lectures on my medical college.. One of them shared this case to us..so i think it's true..he said it was a well known incident as the family members of the lady filed case against that relative.
I'm saddened :< Are a doctor or still studying perhaps?

The human brain is and will always be a great unknown. What is created in the head can hardly be corrected in people who have mental illness.
Mental illness is major concern now a days..and the most alarming that the person cannot decide if he needs some medical attention before it becomes too late and something bad happen.
It's a good one seriously. Our body have a huge amount of potentiatllity but due to our psycology we can't show the proper power of it. Like you can't runs for 5 mins and you will be out of breath but aif a tiger is chasing your. Yiur ability will enhance cz you need to save your life. @hanzell have you heard of blind placebo?
Yeah i have. Those are basically blanks that only contain fillers but don't contain the actual active ingredients of a drug, usually
people can get cure about 60% by just having placebo..😅
Well it's mostly the psychological effect at play but yeah, the stats for placebo recovery are high that it's honestly way too funny
I wish they will never read these conversation who are having it..Then it will again create a problem for physicians.😄😄
They deserve to know though. But it's mostly kids and people who undergo clinical trials that drink placebo anyways
