¿QUE SON LAS HEMORROIDES?
Son dilataciones de los plexos venosos de la submucosa rectal, es decir, las venas que se encuentran a nivel del recto, tienden a dilatarse por ciertas situaciones, lo que provoca las manifestaciones clínicas; es algo similar a las varices de las piernas.
CAUSAS DE HEMORROIDES
Se producen debido a un aumento de la presión de las venas del ano, principalmente por gran esfuerzo físico, dentro de las principales causas, tenemos:
- Embarazo.
- Esfuerzo al defecar.
- Estreñimiento.
- Estar de pie o sentado durante mucho tiempo.
- Infecciones anales.
- Diarrea.
- Obesidad.
GRADOS DE LAS HEMORROIDES
Las hemorroides pueden ser internas, externas o mixtas, las internas se clasidican en 4 grados:
- GRADO I: Se localizan en el tejido submucoso, por encima de la línea dentada.
- GRADO II: Salen del ano al defecar, pero, se introducen espontáneamente luego del esfuerzo.
- GRADO III: Son visibles desde el exterior, sobresalen al defecar y el paciente debe introducirlas manualmente.
- GRADO IV: Son irreductibles y están siempre fuera del ano.
CLÍNICA Y DIAGNÓSTICO
El diagnóstico es netamente clínico, el paciente acude al centro de salud por presentar:
- Dolor anal.
- Prurito (picazón) anal.
- Sensaciíon de humedd en en ano.
- Sangrado anal.
- Sensación de tener "algo" en el ano.
- Sensación de salida de "algo" a través del ano.
TRATAMIENTO
Dentro de las medidas generales están los baños de asiento en agua tibia durante 15 - 20 minutos, unas 3 ó 4 veces al día.
Dentro de las medidas farmacológicas, se pueden utilizar antihemorroidales tipo cremas y/o supositorios, y, fármacos ablandadores de heces para disminuir el estreñimiento y el esfuerzo al defecar.

WHAT ARE HEMORRHOIDS?
They are dilatations of the venous plexus of the rectal submucosa, that is, the veins that are at the level of the rectum, tend to dilate for certain situations, which causes the clinical manifestations; it is something similar to varicose veins of the legs.
CAUSES OF HEMORRHOIDS
They are produced due to an increase in the pressure of the veins of the anus, mainly by great physical effort, within the main causes, we have:
- Pregnancy.
- Effort when defecating.
- Constipation.
- Standing or sitting for a long time.
- Anal infections.
- Diarrhea.
- obesity
DEGREES OF HEMORRHOIDS
Hemorrhoids can be internal, external or mixed, internal hemorrhoids are classified in 4 grades:
- GRADE I: They are located in the submucosal tissue, above the dentate line.
- GRADE II: They come out of the anus during defecation, but are introduced spontaneously after straining.
- GRADE III: They are visible from the outside, protrude during defecation and the patient must insert them manually.
- GRADE IV: They are irreducible and are always outside the anus.
CLINICAL FEATURES AND DIAGNOSIS
The diagnosis is purely clinical, the patient comes to the health center for presenting:
- Anal pain.
- Anal itching.
- Sensation of wetness in the anus.
- Anal bleeding.
- Sensation of having "something" in the anus.
- Sensation of "something" coming out through the anus.
TREATMENT
General measures include sitz baths in warm water for 15-20 minutes, 3 or 4 times a day.
Pharmacological measures include antihemorrhoidal creams and/or suppositories, and stool softening drugs to reduce constipation and straining during defecation.
