I thought that watching the Spanish film La Herida, released in 2013, would distract me, but it turned out to be as empty as a lost safe.
It was interesting that someone who radiates goodness around him is constantly doing evil to himself and has a strange personality. Although I did not like the movie in terms of arousing my sense of curiosity, I could not break away from the movie and watched it to the end.

Olive Branch || Olive Grove
Although getting away from the city is often my first choice, it is not always possible. On non-work days, it becomes almost impossible. As a result of the constant postponement of things that need to be done, I have the problem of making time on vacation days.
Today is one of 'those' vacation days and I have to go to the olive grove to see the product on it. Instead of postponing it, I chose to go early in the morning.
Since it is between the city and the industrial zone, it is within walking distance. I say almost because it is not very close but I still prefer to walk.
It's 4 kilometers from home!
The most boring part of the walk was passing through the cobblestoned alleyways until I reached the outskirts of the ring road that surrounds the city and provides access to the summer holiday centers.
The 'elderly care home' I came across after crossing the ring road was an address of fresh air and tranquility, nestled among green trees, but the fact that its inhabitants were elderly people in need of care was thought-provoking for the elderly!
And finally I finally got rid of the cobblestone and asphalt roads and my feet touched the dusty soil.
Dusty soil! Because there is a sub-industrial zone nearby.
Because of the factories and various marble production sites, everything (trees) here is covered with dust.
It is possible to see the remnants of the dust even in November, as the delayed rains have not yet washed the trees sufficiently.

Entering the garden with hundreds of olive trees, I was surprised to be greeted by a few fig trees... and they looked tired! ...but after a while I realized the reason for the tiredness. The fig harvest has just been completed and the trees are no longer feeding themselves, but the crops.
The nature wall of ivy-like plants, entangled on the fence separating the two gardens, is doing its job well.
The tractor track, used for plowing, also offers the possibility to drive around the olive grove. When it is time for the olive harvest, it seems to be very useful for loading the collected olives into vehicles.
And the view of the beautiful, large and most importantly centuries-old olive trees in the garden is amazing. Some branches of the same tree have too many olives, while others have none at all, like a blessing given or withheld.
There is no choice but to be grateful for what is. As it is always said; *he who is not satisfied with less does not know the value of more!*
People can sometimes have more than one personality in one body and mind.
To have a stable mind is to deny change. In an environment where everything changes, it is normal for opinions to change. To remain steadfast is to deny evolving and changing conditions.
When those who make decisions in the light of emerging evidence make a U-turn in their decisions when additional evidence emerges, this is a change in their decisions, not in their personalities.

I'm still stuck between good and evil. One of the side effects of what I thought was a good production was that I questioned good and evil too much and was skeptical of everyone!

First of all, I started with the paint selection. Champagne was the right color for the wall, which was in a lighter tone... I bought both transition paint and primer to cover the dark oil paint color in the hallway and return to plastic paint... and ceiling paint for the ceilings...
The only thing to blame for all this was the caved-in ceiling and my callous brother. Luckily he helped during the whole painting process.
It's fun to paint a house with no furniture, but it's hard to paint a house with furniture in it and it's boring to put paint on the ceiling or walls because there's not enough room to move around...
...and the most boring place is the kitchen. Above the cupboards and behind the gas pipes is torture; not only is it hard to apply the paint, it's even harder to stand up.
Two days before the dyeing started, I gave all the carpets in the house to be washed. The price per square meter was $0.64 in dollar terms.
They kept their word and returned all the carpets clean in the afternoon on the day the dyeing was completed. They look clean enough!
I forget the exhaustion of the paint job that comes after repairing the collapsed ceiling and the leaky plumbing because of the work completed...

Quince jam from semi-organic quince!
The quinces are from our own garden and I would love to say they are 100% organic, but they are not. There are a few quince trees with their branches stuck together near the gate that gives access to the garden. Last August, I sprayed them to prevent the quinces from worming. Actually, I did this more for the quince tree than for the quinces because the quince tree can rot quickly when wormed.
Since I limited the spraying to one time, I can say that I obtained semi-organic quinces, although not fully organic. The type is what we call bread quince in the local language, which is soft and juicy.
Although I like quince relish better with pasta, I decided to make quince jam with some of it. This is my second attempt, I made it last year and used honey from sunflowers instead of sugar.
I got a good result in terms of flavor, but visually the quinces had turned purple and the appearance was unappealing.
Anyway, the x3-fold increase in honey prices this year and the possibility of the quince turning purple made me turn to sugar as an alternative.
I got the recipe from my sister, she explained it nicely on the phone. She said she would come for a run if you want, but the distance she called a run was 30 kilometers!
I peeled the quinces and cut them into long potato slices and then into small cubes. At least my sister said to cut them into cubes in the recipe, but I doubt that these were cubes.
I used sugar in each glass plate, just the right amount for the quince, thinking that it would be chewed in the mouth and sent to the stomach crushed anyway. Although I was tempted to reduce the sugar because I thought it was too much, my sister's intervention prevented me from doing so.
After combining the quinces and sugar in the pot, I stirred them for a few minutes. This caused the sugar and quinces to get watery. I cooked it on high heat until it started to boil, then on low heat for about half an hour... a while before turning off the heat, I added a few drops of lemon juice to thicken the syrup.
My quince jam is ready. I can't say anything about its taste because it hasn't cooled down completely yet, but there was no deterioration in its appearance and color.

My single biggest problem is that my time at home is limited because I have a real job and I have responsibilities to take care of almost every day. I have similar days, the time and place may be different but the process is almost the same.

There is no set time in my job, sometimes I have to be out at night and sometimes during the day. Sometimes I don't come home for a few days, and when that happens, I still miss my home even though there is no one in it.
I have a routine that I have accustomed myself to, and I make it my duty to act in a predetermined way within this routine, but when I go out of the routine, I feel uneasy. You know, you are not sick, but you feel bad in a way that you cannot explain. That's the kind of stagnation and feeling bad.
When I am at home, I have more limited mobility and order. But I can entertain myself in more activities: listening to music with my headphones on, watching movies, preparing meals for myself, taking care of my pets, just to name a few.
For the next three or four days I will spend all my time at home except for a few small purchases. Today I bought 15 kilos of ceiling paint and 15 kilos of wall paint.
I repaired the sink's collapsed ceiling, tomorrow I will let it dry completely and the next day I will paint the two rooms, the hallway and the sink.
I don't see these as work because they will be small efforts that are equivalent to listening to music with the comfort of being at home.
The last time I painted the house was 4-5 years ago after minor renovations and natural gas installation for the kitchen. The price I paid for a similar amount of ceiling and wall paint was 180 TRY. The amount I paid during today's shopping was 1050 TRY. This means a 5.8-fold increase in prices in a short time.
Fortunately, I won't have to pay for a painter! Maybe I like being at home because it is a day without spending money.

I do not like politicians, but some names deserve respect due to their structure, I think Süleyman Demirel was just one of those names!
He passed away in 2015 at the age of 90 due to respiratory infection and heart failure. I had the opportunity to visit the museum built in his name in the city where he was born and where items identified with him are exhibited.
The political leader, who lived in a modest village house and attended primary school in the village, worked as a shepherd in his village. I remember the life in village houses dating back many years from the accounts of many people older than me.
It is quite authentic to see the items belonging to the past life of a person who is not alive today. During my visit to Süleyman Demirel Museum, I experienced both emotional and admiring moments.
The most important of my admirations were the items and visuals describing his life in the village with his family. This painting from the first half of the 1900s belonged to his mother and was one of the images symbolising the Anatolian woman of those years.
It is clear that the fact that a name with many successes and failures during his political career is still well remembered is a reflection of his personality and the life he led in the eyes of the public.
Many projects he initiated and finalised are still standing today and pictures, brochures and newspapers from those days were on display throughout the museum.
This statue represents the last days of his political career.
This shirt belongs to Galatasaray and has the signatures of the players and technical staff of the team that won the UEFA Cup in 2000.

Last night, I watched a film with my brother, whom I see as my family and whom I love very much. The main subject of the film was; the drama that took place in England during the second world war was told through a woman and a child. I think the film was beautiful enough to be called great, I don't remember the name of the film, but I can find it if anyone is interested in watching it.
Although wartime was chosen as the beginning of the drama, the film actually had little to do with war. An atheist does not believe in the existence of hell and believes that the dead go to the "summer country". Being a writer, he deals with this subject in his books.
Summer country is to believe that there are islands suspended in the air. At the beginning, I thought of the land pieces hanging in the air in the film Avatar, but they were not what he described as summer country. They were some kind of shapes formed by clouds, and when I saw cloud paintings in my gallery today, I made a common connection with the film.
I took the pictures on my laptop and analysed them in more detail. Some of them seemed to be saying goodbye to each other in the direction of their departure, others seemed to symbolise the moment of reunion. It shouldn't be hard to recognise them as shapes when captured from the right angle at the right time. If I push my mind a little more, I might even believe in the existence of the summer country, but I am not an atheist, so heaven and hell must exist.
Reward and punishment make themselves felt in all areas of life. Where there is reward there is punishment and where there is punishment there is reward. They are like an inseparable duo!
I usually keep my phone's gallery clean, I delete it as soon as I'm done with the picture I've taken, but I've found that I've been neglecting this task for a while, but I'm happy with the result.
Maybe I should look at my phone more often from now on and watch films more often! If you can find a slice of your life in the film you watch, it is a good film and it appeals to you. When it comes to the leading organisations of football, I forget the scores quickly, but I remember the events and goals of the matches for a long time.
For example; I remember Hagi's goal in the 1994 World Cup match between Colombia and Romania in which he almost caught the Colombian goalkeeper Cordoba near the touchline as clearly as if the match was played yesterday. Are the bombs dangerous or the hands that use them?

Operation to save the olive tree; how to build a wall?
When you have to take care of a large olive grove, you have to know almost everything. Protecting the trees, pruning, clearing the bushes in the garden, spraying, shaking the trees during the olive season and picking the olives that fall to the ground are just some of them.
I think it was in the mid-1980s; although there was a road connecting the village to the city, there was a need to build a second road. The reason for the construction of the second road was to connect the village to the villages on the other side and from there to the city. It shortened the distance to the city by about 15 kilometres. I don't remember everything in detail because I was a child.
All I know is that bulldozers and heavy construction equipment came and cut the garden in half. It was fun to watch, I was happy because I thought I would be able to come and go to other villages more easily. If I had known that it would cause me a lot of trouble, I would have stoned the earth-moving machines. 😂
I am not a mason, and the chances of creating a solid wall by stacking uneven stones are as slim as the chances of making the neighbourhood team and scoring a goal against Real Madrid, but I have to try, because since the road construction there have been landslides due to rainwater.
