Something new is brewing... *Saturday, 27th of August 2022* How does the end of the summer make you feel guys? For me it’s a bitter-sweet kind of feeling. The days in Northern hemisphere are getting shorter since the longest day of the year in late June and having spent most of my working life in industrial environments with no daylight, I grew to appreciate the daylight more than anything. Shorter days mean less exposure to daylight after a day spent at work. Luckily for me, my desk in the new job is located right by the window and I count it as one of many blessings of my new job. So, the bitterness of end of the summer is not so heavy for me this year. Colder days? Well, this part doesn’t seem to apply to 2022 either. August in my country has been the hottest in many years and even as I write this (at 3pm) it is 26 degrees outside – hotter than most other summer days I have experienced here since 2005. In fact in July we had a new record - 40.3 degrees. Previous highest temperature was recorded in 2019 at 38.7 degrees. Welcome to global warming – it has some perks too.
The sweet part of bitter-sweet feeling is the coming back to school. Back when I was a child I never really looked forward to it. After fun filled summer which child wants to go back to responsibility of attending classes and doing homework? Not many, and I wasn’t the exception. There was a part that I did look forward to ever since I remember. That’s stationery shopping! New pens, pencils, notebooks and books always made me super excited and @emily2u has reminded me of it in one of her recent articles. These days I might be an adult, but the feeling of going back to school stayed. The shelves in markets fill up with stationery and the feeling of excitement comes back too. ***I am a forever scholar.*** I hear many people complaining about how difficult it is for them to change job and learn all about the new job role and company. On the contrary, this is where I thrive. Learning new things, getting to know new people and their stories is what I love the most. I’m not that keen on meeting new people in general. My introverted part feels safer with the people I already know. New workplace is where I am forced to meet new people though and I like it. Buying new clothes doesn’t make me nowhere nearly as excited as learning new things.
In my adult life I often find myself starting something new around September time. I even stubbornly buy academic diary almost every year. Some old habits never die. There is no need for them to die either ;) What will I be learning this year? Looks like I will be back into cryptoverse. For starters I will be discovering all about new chain – dogechain evm that launched in early August 2022. Thanks to some crypto connections I kept alive even during my quiet online months I have just found out that some of our most loved crypto projects on currently troubled SmartBCH have or soon will lounch on dogechain! Which projects are they? @kasumi , the dev behind the **MistSwap** have already launched: new dex - Doge Money https://app.dogmoney.money/swap domain naming services - DNS on dogechain. https://app.dogedomains.wf/ I have joined the Dogmoney TG and I invite you guys to join too. For more info about the new products head over to: https://t.me/dogmoneyofficial https://docs.dogmoney.money/tokenomics/ Those of you, who still hold Mist tokens, here is something for you: https://docs.dogmoney.money/#mistswap-users-welcome At the moment the interface for swapping is not yet ready, but we can swap Mist for Dogemoney directly with Kasumi. Jay, who developed **smartscan.cash** for SmartBCH, as well as 1st and most popular marketplace on SmartBCH will soon launch **Oasis** on dogechain too. He has some nice surprises for us in the making too! *Edit [28/08/2022] Oasis Marketplace has launched on dogechain yesterday evening. Here are the links to the* *Telegram Group* *and* *Website**. Come say hello guys!* https://t.me/oasis_dogechain https://oasis-nft.dog/ I hear that **NFTC** team is also planning to release their newest collection on dogechain rather than previously considered Polygon.
Hearing the news, my excitement about going back to school has sparked again. This weekend most of my local salsa pals are off to Berlin for a salsa congress. I was already worrying what will I be doing with myself while everyone is away. Well, it looks like I have my weekend planned. I will be reading, learning and writing! Oh… and some yoga on the paddle boards in between 😉 Watch this space guys! I will be sharing all that I have learned about dogechain and its project in my future articles.
Until next time 💙

We never stop learning
That’s the way we like it 😁
I am not active on SmartBCH anymore I lost my interest on it As for the back to school, I was excited too..as my lil girl finally went to school.. seems like I am schooling too sending and picking her up haha.
I’ve lost interest for quite a while too, but now I’m back 😁 Sounds good sis! Looks like we all get a lil excited about going back to school, even as adults 💙
Welcome back to writing and learning, from one introvert to another. 2-day weekends are not sufficient for me. I need 4 days ... or 3 like you.
Thanks Ems. 3 days is a good balance for me. Probably 4 would be even better, but might make me too lazy 😅
Why are they working out on the dogechain with that shitcoin name? 😅.. Welcome back btw.. i haven't seen you for a long time..hehe
Who cares about shitcoin anymore, is now all about the money. Coinflex damage sBCH reputation and makes most people lost interest on the chain.
😔.. Is the Mistswap bridge now working?
I don't think so, Dogechain has a functional bridge
Thanks sis, I really needed some time off for myself. It’s good to be back ☺️ I guess everyone is doing whatever is needed to stay afloat. It will take a while before sha gate is up and running, so for now it’s good to get exposure in other chains. Hopefully that will bring more people to SmartBCH too eventually.
I love it when we just keep learning for the best. We should not stop there because it's fun. I wish you the best in those projects too. You should have the best weekend ever 🧡🧡🧡
Thank you Princess! We’re all forever scholars 😍
I just joined the Telegram group. Thanks for the heads up. Yes, I want to delve into more of the cryptoverse this time around. With the big changes I have ahead of me, it is important to try my hands on other things too. Who knows...
That’s good thinking Ola. Bear market is sure a good time to accumulate new crypto 💙
Absolutely, darling Mo. Thank you so much and how are you holding up? Enjoyed your weekend?
It was a very busy one Ola! Luckily we had Bank Holiday Monday to recover before I'm back to work today ;)
So sorry darling. I wish you more strength. Rest when you can...
>That’s stationery shopping! New pens, pencils, notebooks and books This is also one that I am looking forward in gong back to school aside from the facts that I really wanted to finish studies and work. Haha you know? earned money cause life was so hard back then
I was selling beauty products to my friends at college and even newspapers on the street during my Uni years. We do what we must to finish our education 💙
oh seems not only me experienced challenges just to finish studies.., hehe
We had a very hot end to summer. For example, there was no electricity and it was very hot and raining.
That sounds tricky. There were many weather disruptions in Europe too. Mainly wildfires
Here in our country Monika is always raining. Last week there's a typhoon here and the rain poured stronger. How are you Monika? I miss you and I missed reading your articles.
Hi Ramona! Nice of you to stop by. I needed to take some time off cryptoverse to sort issues in my real life. Hopefully now I’m back for good. We had some thunderstorms here too, but nothing major. I guess storms will come in the fall/winter
I'm glad that you're okay now Monika. Always take care Monika. Here in our country, last week there was a typhoon.
It's good to see you writing here again, gorgeous!
There's hope for MIST holders then it seems :) I'm always looking forward to going to school back then. I don't have that many friends where we live and there's nothing much to do or to go. That feeling intensified when I studied in another province. Good luck with new learnings and opportunities :)
The market is not for the faint heart.
End of summer is a bit sad for me. As an island girl I do love the sun and sea. Thankfully it seems that despite the rains coming in, Mr. Sun is still here to play for a bit. I am making the most of the remaining sunny days for banking on my tan.
