How to Invest with Irregular Income Let's accept the fact that we all suffered during the pandemic. And the times are getting tough again with the war. And people are yet not investing much. So the cashflow has been going on pretty slow as well. And in such case it would be reasonable to say that we have to stay on irregular income for some time in our life. I have suffered since the 2019 and noticed that I have to do a lot more in order for my earning to do something strong and with risk. So the irregular income has been affecting me too. In this post, I wish to outline some of the ways I can show you we can have more control over the finances and we can learn to invest more and regularly as well. So if you were or are in current situation which has a lot of irregular income and you are struggling to invest then you should continue reading this article as it may give you some ideas :)
Paycheck Cycle Most of us who are working on a job are struggling in the paycheck cycle. When you struggle with the paycheck cycle you have to understand how you can get it properly setup with the finances. Make sure to save more so that you can get out of this cycle. Only way to get out of this cycle is saving more money and then avoiding the debt. That is how most of the people around the world have done it. You may not get it right the first time. You have to hold enough money in the saving and also focus on bringing in new income sources. That has been something many people have practiced with experimentation over period of time. So the task is to minimize the paycheck to paycheck lifestyle.
Documenting & Reducing the Expenses Documenting is a start to cutting down the expenses and having control over it. What do I mean by documenting? You have to document how much you are spending on things and how much are your expenses. You have to focus on documenting the same. Once you document the expenses then you find out which one are not so necessary. This is something requires patience, understanding and also you have to adjust with family on this part. Once you find out who is the culprit you have to reduce those expenses and also make sure to document for the same. This is something you have to learn to adjust with in that context. It does not happen over time but you can practice. So the task here is to document your expenses and reducing one you don't need.
Emergency Funds Never ignore the emergency. You never know when it could strike you. I always make sure to invest around 1 and half year worth of the savings that can help me with the emergency funds. You can start by documenting your personal expenses and the family expenses on a piece of paper. Make sure to save that much amount by slow savings. Make sure to reach the target of 1 year minimum or higher as per your requirement. You can start the emergency funds by downloading various set of the templates out there. You can then make sure to handle those funds properly. I have learned that emergency funds can be done when you add more income streams, it just gets easier that way. So the next task is to have emergency fund for atleast 1 year.
Invest. Improve with Irregular Flow. Sometimes money will be there and sometimes it doesn't. Once you invest into savings, emergency funds. Next is investing into the sources which earn some return. Make sure to improve on this type of the sources where you have to keep on improving the sources of income. This way the investment sound more logical too. That is what I have realized while saving then investing in a pattern. Use crypto, mutual funds, and the stocks. You can choose them one at a time every month. And start building from there. You got to start at some point otherwise it becomes difficult later. So the task here is to invest even in irregular cashflow, so as to start your own regular dividend cashflow.
What do you think? These are some of my plans on how you can plan the investment and also the irregular times when you don't have much money. What's your opinion on this? What do you think about it so far? I'd appreciate your comments and your outlook on this topic :)

Very good point to keep track of expenses. I obsessively Excel all of my finances and it has helped me save a lot!
You have a point friend
For me maybe when I started to work I will try to always keep track of my expenses so that I can maximize my income someday.
Yeah, saving for an emergency fund is even more important when you have an irregular income. Emergency can come at any time, and if there is no saving, plus irregular income, it will be disastrous for an individual. Thank you.
