Do we have to feel good in all circumstances? Feeling good, like any other popularized concept, seems doomed to become hollow and lose its purpose over time. Feeling good or being positive does not mean smiling no matter what, or ignoring a variety of emotions such as pain, anger, fear, anxiety, all of which are real and precious. On the surface it may look like hedonism or hedonism, but it is far from it.
Feeling good is primarily a pragmatist (utilitarian) approach. It is an attitude against "manufactured stress" that does not benefit us, that does not exist in reality, that we generate entirely with our own inner voices. Unless we recognize our manufactured stress and separate it from real stress, we can neither experience happiness nor pain properly. It is stress that is "manufactured" by us, by the way we view events, situations or people. In our minds, we produce a false stress and our whole body, hormones, emotions, decisions, etc. are shaped and become real according to the false stress produced by us. Our thoughts, the way we perceive and interpret life, can either turn us into a stress generator or a sun of life that radiates joy and refreshment! As hard as it is to accept, yes, it depends on our perspective. Manufactured stress comes from the threatening side of whatever we are facing. One imagines the worst possible scenarios and perceives them as the most likely to happen. What we believe becomes reality. Everything we interpret negatively from this point of view grows as we think about it, and as it grows, its negative effects increase and eventually reappear either as physical illnesses or lifestyle problems.
Sleepless nights, tension for no reason. We have problems in our relationships. The world seems more and more chaotic and unsolvable, and we begin to feel hopeless and pessimistic. It feels unreal to be happy in this world. Recognizing one's manufactured stress level and working on it with scientific techniques can have great results in quality of life and motivation. We don't have to feel good, of course. But negative attitudes always make you feel worse than you are. Whether it is right or wrong, negative attitudes are harmful and not helpful. Living with manufactured stress leaves us no choice but to feel bad.
When you get rid of your manufactured stress, you realize that you can already live feeling good in a very large part of your daily life. Now, I'll change the question in the title and ask it again: Do we have to feel bad?

It is very normal not to feel good in every situation. There are times that we have to cry out the sadness in us. It happens so much
