What is this? A Giant Butterfly or a Moth? Early morning last Monday, my partner saw a Giant creature outside our house.
***A giant butterfly! he said.*** I was curious, and also took a glance. I told him it's not a butterfly. ***It's a moth!*** I looked and based on its antenna and its wings. Butterflies most likely took a rest while wings are closed. While moths are resting with their wings open.
So it's a moth not a butterfly! I insisted. After a long discussion, we decided to look for it in the web. And then he found out and realized that I was correct. It is a **giant Atlas Moth.**
This kind of giant moths are relatively rare. Mostly, they are found on trees during spring and summer nights. After reading some facts about this creature, we found out that it has a short life span. This type of moth **does not have a mouth!** Yes! and this only means it cannot eat. It lives off energy stored as a caterpillar which is why it has a life span of 5 to 7 days only. Its sole **purpose** is to fly around and find a mate. Some people consider and still believe that if this type of creature landed on you, it brings money luck. How I wish it could really bring that luck. š¤ I hope you learned something new today. It's a moth, I agree. Looking at it gave me the 'It's okay to Not be Okay' feels (I'm not sure if you're familiar with that drama)
I've heard that one before but I haven't watch that movie yet. š¤
It's a must watch š
Giants are real
I don't know what you really mean in your comment. But this is real, giant moths really exist. š
