Can you see 𝑴𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒕 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒔𝒍𝒖? This was the view that greeted me every evening when I arrived back to my accommodation for a week, after a full day of mountain trekking. The village of Samagaun where I set up base when I was in Nepal in 2019, and located along the Manaslu Circuit Trek, did not have electricity supply, hence it was pitch black. Samagaun is currently in the process of setting up a mini hydroelectricity plant to light up the village.
