When I was in Taiwan, I visited this place in Sanwan Township, so new that it didn't even have a name yet. We just called it Sanwan Township Park. Those who know Mandarin will recognize that "Sanwan" actually means "three curves". To arrive at this park, we had to walk quite a distance up a slope, some sections of it rather muddy, too... well, as mentioned, it wasn't ready for visitors. But the view... oh my, it was breathtaking. It was like autumn, even though I was there in January, which was at the tail end of winter. These trees were bald cypress trees and there's another species of trees, Vernicia fordii. Both these species give a different effect according to the seasons.
