This TV is showing the laser battle in progress between two teams. I was in the third team, waiting for my turn to battle with Team 4. So, I was looking at the action and laughing, yet, wondering if I will play any worse than them when it was my turn. It's very exciting to play, but one needs to be quite fit because of all the running!!

I miss eating out. This was the Thai-style charcoal-grilled marmite crab that I got for my mom the last time we dined in. In our family, only she can eat crab, The rest of us will suffer from terrible stomach aches after eating crab. Definitely can no longer have this kind of setup via food delivery. It's just no longer the same.

Have you visited an Upside Down house before? I have visited quite a few in Malaysia, and always enjoyed the camera tricks. However, I have yet to visit the most famous upside-down attraction, which is located in Tamaparuli, Sabah. I guess that will have to wait... long, loooonggggg. One of the joys of traveling is the chance to explore the food. This was my breakfast one time. I ordered their popular noodles and then saw that actually, their homemade bread is also well known among the locals, and so, I had double breakfast! LOL

Was browsing at photos of my Taiwan trip and came across these photos of my visit to a strawberry farm. We just plucked them and ate directly. From farm to mouth. HAHAHA!! The strawberries were huge, succulent and sweet. They look so perfect, unlike the ones from Cameron Highlands. LOL

Have you been to Bintan yet? This Indonesian island is Singaporeans' playground as it is just a ferry ride away. However, for me to travel to Bintan from Ipoh was a long and tiring journey as we did not have a direct travel route. Nonetheless, would I go to Bintan again if I had the chance? Do you need to even ask? Hehehe!!!

I went to eat at this cafe for a lark... I posted this photo on socmed and my friends asked me, what was it that's naked? The chef or the servers? I guess, the bear? This cafe is in Lukang, Taiwan... I know, I know. I should eat local, but it's just too funny NOT to dine here!

This is the famous shaved ice dessert that my friends were craving for when we were in Taiwan. By the time we had completed our shopping in Ximending in Taipei, it was already midnight, yet they still insisted on eating this, as we were already leaving Taiwan the following day. I travel with crazy people sometimes. The group in Taiwan wanted to get shaved ice at midnight https://noise.cash/post/1k36w0xz Then another trip to Terengganu with another bunch of friends, they wanted to eat supper at 12 midnight and because there was no longer public transport, we had to walk quite far! I couldn't eat at midnight already, because my body clock says to sleep. So, I just ordered a cup of plain water while watching them eat fast food. LOL

Passed this street last evening. This corner unit shop house was recently sold, and it was huge news in my city. Why? This shop has been left vacant for 4 decades and everyone knows why. It's because it's haunted. Whether you believe in the supernatural or not, this is how the world is. Nobody could conduct any business here, hence left vacant. Now that it is sold, we wonder who is so brave to invest in it. This buyer surely isn't local because none here would touch it.…

Spotted this lil' birdie perched on my mango tree. Got a friend to help me to ID it... this is the Juvenile Olive-Backed Sunbird. It's so cute. Wish I could take a clearer shot, but I had to walk close and still zoom in, as it was hidden among the thick leaves of my tree.

Recently, I've been watching many van-life videos on YouTube, dreaming of the day that I can hit the road again. I am reminded of the time I was invited to have a tour of this 1st Malaysian-made caravan that was designed for such a purpose. This is known as C.A.M. Caravan.

Here's a little green lung that I discovered when enjoying a little trip to Kuching, Sarawak. I went to one of the city's popular landmarks, the Cat Museum. I was quite disappointed, to be honest, but then I saw this, and then went down later. Hehehe nature is better, of course.

Yesterday's effort to wrap some sui kow... bought the skin and mixed the filling with pork, carrots and strips of dried wood ear fungus. First time doing this, hence just making it simple (and cheap) filling. LOL Bought a packet of 30 wraps, just use 12 for now and keeping the rest for rounds 2 and 3 of testing.

I just recalled that this Harley Davidson owners club, Kingz MG, takes advantage of the Malaysia Day long weekend to go on their annual ride. 16th September is Malaysia Day and if life was normal as we knew it, I would be on the convoy tomorrow. My old car is being sent to the scrapyard tomorrow... Every year (before COVID), press members were hosted by the military for some "war games". Sometimes, it's press vs soldiers, sometimes, the teams are mixed with members from both. We get to shoot rifles also. It takes a little practice, which we don't have enough. HEHEHE Just FIREEE!!!!

Not in the mood for fun today because it's number and data crunching day for the monthly performance report for my client. Urghhh aren't I entitled to my weekend, too? Actually, I prefer to concentrate on large tasks on weekends, so that clients don't keep distracting me with new tasks. Who else can relate?

This is Madu Tiga Beach & Resort in Bintan, Indonesia. I remember that I was quite annoyed with my travel mate during our time here. I helped her to shoot artistic photos here but when it was her turn behind the camera, she was half-hearted about it, so my photos were either blurred, out of frame, or not aligned. In the end, I just said, forget it!

It's been a while since I was out in nature. As I can't swim, I hate water activities. I never have a good feeling about them, even in the Dead Sea, where we cannot drown. Well, what can I say, I've got water phobia! Yet, despite the fear, I have had my fair share of participation in water sports but each time, in my mind, I went, "F@rkkk, what am I doing here???" 😅

This Cactus Rock is a feature at the Spritzer EcoPark in Taiping, Perak, Malaysia. Spritzer is a popular brand name for bottled mineral water in Malaysia. Known as the Gigantic Column of Spritzer, it is a prehistoric boulder that is more than 200 million years old. Within Spritzer EcoPark is also another highlight, a 216-step broadwalk that was laid out using the country's historic first railway sleepers, that were used in Taiping.

This is one of the domes (stupa) at the Swayambhunath in Kathmandu, or more famously known as the "Monkey temple". Do you see the eyes? That's the Buddha's eyes, which you can see everywhere you go in Nepal. These eyes are the symbol of the country, meaning, "all-seeing".

This has got to be the most recognizable raintree in the world. It's in Taiping, Malaysia, that I captured this during one trip, not the same trip as the one to Spritzer EcoPark. 😂 As a child, I used to be taken here often by my parents for picnics. A year ago, my old friend flew in to Ipoh from Johor Bahru and I loaned him my car for a day sight-seeing trip. Loan meaning he drove my car, I became the passenger, as I was lazy to drive 😂... Our first stop was this popular eatery in my city known as "Big Tree Foot".. Or at the foot of a big tree for breakfast.

The English word 'root' has multiple definitions and is used in different idioms. This one best describes 'be rooted in something'.... This is a feature in my city of Ipoh, Malaysia. When I was in Taiwan, I visited this place in Sanwan Township, so new that it didn't even have a name yet. We just called it Sanwan Township Park. Those who know Mandarin will recognize that "Sanwan" actually means "three curves". To arrive at this park, we had to walk quite a distance up a slope, some sections of it rather muddy, too... well, as mentioned, it wasn't ready for visitors. Wake up and smell the flowers... These two blooms are my neighbour's creeper vines that have crossed the boundary. I don't mind, actually, except that they creep past my windows and gate. This is Saigon Central Post Office. Featuring an olden European architecture, it looks more like a train station in Europe than a post office in Asia. Catching the last ferry back from Bintan to Batam, Indonesia. It was quite a long trip and was glad to be back on land. However, the beauty of catching the evening ferry was that we were able to catch the majestic sunset whilst on the journey.

I love visiting Melaka in Malaysia. It's so small that everywhere is just a short drive away. And they have pork satay (pictured). Not easy to find elsewhere because satay stalls are usually manned by Malay Muslims. This stall in Melaka is well known for it.

Hundreds of cabs are parked in Ipoh, up for sale, because they are no longer used, with the demise of the tourism industry. This is only just the tip of the iceberg, as there are other terminals parked with tens of coaches, all shelved from duty since last March.

Reminiscing the time I went offshore fishing and spent the night out at sea... Luckily, all women and VIPs were assigned to the boat with toilet facility... while men had to make do by peeing into the sea. hahaha!

During my teen years, my family fell on hard times and I always went hungry. I'm not saying that we didn't have food to eat, we had, but just not enough. I learned that the way to curb hunger pangs is to drink a lot of water. There was a time when I worked for a tycoon on a project. He owns a yacht and aircraft, and for cars, he has limousines. As he is someone who worked on the go, I get to tag along as well to work, whenever he needed me. I remember one time when he was busy hosting a seminar on board his yacht (pictured), I was "upstairs" sleeping. HAHAHAHA This is the difference between a tycoon and silly me!!!

Have you ever sometimes wondered how things are done? I always have and in my field, I was fortunate to be able to feed this curiosity of mine. What are these, can you tell? I used to enjoy road trips a lot and would get away for the weekend when I could squeeze some time for myself between travel assignments. This photo of a Chinese temple was taken in the Royal Town of Kuala Kangsar in Malaysia. Although I have been to the town multiple times, it was only on this particular trip that I made rounds away from the main road. That's where and how I came across this beautiful structure.
