FOODlog #60: Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken Last Sunday I went lunch with my family and friends after church to a hawker center called 'God Taste'. Not sure if it was a typo on the word "good" or was it on purpose naming a restaurant that but yeah that's where we went for lunch. Haha There are about 15 stalls over there with lots of varieties of food to choose from. There's rice dishes, noodle dishes and also some stalls that sell snacks. I ordered for myself some 'Nasi Lemak' for my lunch. A common food and maybe not the best choice for when you're at a new place where I should be trying food that is a specialty there but there were so many options so I went for something familiar instead.

The 'Nasi Lemak' wasn't the best I ever had but it was decent and the food was served very fast which was good coz I was super hungry that day. I ordered their 'Nasi Lemak' with a piece of fried chicken. They gave me the wing which is my favorite part of eat especially with 'Nasi Lemak'. The other stuff that came with it were the usual sides and condiments that come with any 'Nasi Lemak' which were fried anchovies and groundnuts, 'sambal', cucumber slices, and a fried egg.

The 'sambal' was slightly sweet and spicy. They also gave some 'rendang' sauce which is a curry of sorts and it was quite yummy especially eaten with the rice. Overall I'd say it was average tasting, portion was huge especially the rice, and price was reasonable at RM8 (<2 USD).
