FOODlog #40: Pork Noodle Soup Had lunch at a nearby local hawker center after church today. Man I was so hungry and tired after preaching today so really enjoyed lunch and filling the body with food! I had some 'Che Yuk Fun' today. Haven't had this in awhile so it was a real treat today and best part is this stall that served it really makes some nice Che Yuk Fun.

I ordered the dry version which the pork soup comes seperate. The soup was very flavorful but light at the same time. Very refreshing and nourishing. It at minced pork, pork meatballs, and slices of pork. It also had some greens which gives a nice natural sweetness to the broth.

The noodles were the best part. For my noodles I picked 'kuey teow' which is my go to noodle selection whenever I order Che Yuk Fun. It flat rice noodles that's tossed with soy sauce and dark soy sauce with pork lard and minced pork. This was super good and you ahd crispy pork lard and fragrant noodles with every bite. The meal also comes with a side dipping sauce of chopped up birds eye chili in soy sauce. Super spicy but super yummy to have with the noodles and soup. What a delicious lunch today!
