FOODlog #36: Pepper Pork Soup Had one of my favorite food for lunch yesterday. Its a pork and pork organ Chinese dish that's served at certain hawker centers. It may sound off-putting but man is it delicious. This particular stall did it really well. All the pork organs didn't have any odor but was cleaned very well and tasted savory and delicious.
The soup is full of flavor and packed with loads of white pepper. This one was particularly peppery which I absolutely love. Really warms the body which is especially nice during this rainy and cold season. The soups main ingredients are preserved sour vegetables and white pepper. The meat were pork belly, various types of pork organs, silken tofu, and also pork blood cubes. This is a soup that doesn't waste any part of the animal and using making every bit of it not only edible but delicious tasting. Had this with rice and will definitely be back at the place for more soon. It was really really good.
