Should I Stop Being Weird?
*Back when I was a child, up until now, I find myself being weird, and other people such as my classmates find myself weird too. Does it offend me? Yes.*
Weird. Me.
Even though some of my classmates does not say it directly to me, I can tell that they are weirded out by me by just observing how they stare at me, and just hanging out with me. They tend to be awkward with me around. I am not that typical filipina girl in my class before, you know, they know tagalog songs while I know songs from musicals and theatre. I watch a lot of anime, weird cartoons while they are into k-dramas which I actually do not watch. It seems like I am in the left side of the road where no one is walking by, while the mainstream road which is the right one is full of normal people.
*Is it just me? Or is it them? Am I worthy to be called weird and not interact with them just because what I like is not the normal ones?*
Eventually, I ran out of care, I do not really care anymore, because if I do, then I won't be happy. I do not want to forcely play mobile legends just so I can fit in. I do not want to change my music taste so that someone would like me.
But even so I say that I ran out of care, I actually really do care....
Because who would not want to meddle with others? And when everytime I am having the time of my life enjoying the things that I like, they stare at me weirdly, who would not be offended?
*Maybe I should stop being weird. Maybe I should fit in.*
*Maybe I should think practically.*
Social Skills.
Back in my childhood days, I am a house-girl, I mean, I only play inside my house, I do play with one of our neighbor but as time passes by we do not greet each other anymore. So, because of that reason my social skills are at a low level. Even interacting with my relatives is really hard for me, up until now. I know it is not healthy, but, I can not find myself be comfortable with them, I can not do the first move of greeting them. If they greet me first then maybe my shyness would go away and I can now talk to them casually.
I think that the social skills that I have contributed a lot in me being a weird person. I stayed a lot in the internet before, and I liked what foreigners like, and not liked what my fellow filipinas like. That was back when I was a child.
*Right now, there is tiktok, and I think because of this platform, my filipina friends are now being exposed in the internet, where the weird things for them back then is now being a normal one.*
But, back in the days where the internet is not that used by most of the people I know, I tend to be 'Out of Place' with them. And it is not a happy feeling.
Fitting in with them.
So I tried fitting in, but I don't feel like myself anymore when I tried fitting in with them. I feel like I am a try hard that time, I'm happy that I can relate to them, but it is like, a forced happiness. I do not really know anymore.
Being Myself.
Right now, in a middle of a pandemic, being myself is not that hard. I do not have to meddle or interact in person with people. The internet is very much used, it is easy ro find people with the same vibes with you, even though they are from a far town or province. But eventually, time will come where everything would be normal again, and I am hoping that when that time comes, even though I might be weird to them, they'll accept me, and not judge me as someone who just wants to be the different one.
*Why can't they understand that I jist want to be myself?*
Do you guys know Jojo Siwa? In here, In the Philippines, or even in here, in my hometown. Dress like that and wear a big ribbon in your head, you'll be stared at and be called weird. This is a good example of what I am feeling. It really lowers my confidence a lot, and it took the happiness I am feeling whenever I do the stuff, wear the stuff I like.
Closing Thoughts:
I am not sure, should I be practical? Or should I be myself? It is hard not being able to fit in, but it is also hard not being yourself. I am torn.
Who am I?
Basic information about me that you need to know

*Where do I live?* I am keeping my specific address a private one but I am currently living in my hometown at a province, which is located at Luzon.
I think that these are the main basic information you should know about me.
Now, Shall we dig in deeper?
***How did I found read.cash?***
I am a noiser, i came from noise.cash. I was introduced at noise cash in a facebook crochet group last week ago and people from noise.cash also recommends readcash (especially if you can write a whole article) in this platform, so I joined in. I am a feature and sci-tech writer in our school newspaper and I competed with different schools back when I was in junior high. So, I am kind of confident with my writing skills because I won two times in competitions I joined.
***What is the reason for your writing?***
I'm not sure if it is right to share this to you guys, but honestly speaking, one of my main reasons is that I know that this platform can help me financially. Currently, I am a college student taking up Online Classes with the course accountancy. When I say online classes, I mean, pure online classes. Most of the time, we are joining classes online through zoom meetings and google meet. I am only using an android phone, in all of my online classes, and it was really hard, especially that the screen size of my phone is really small. Right now, I am only usinh my phone in making this article. So I am hoping that maybe, if I am a better writer in the soon future, I can afford to buy my own laptop and be much more productive in my online classes and even in making good quality content in here.
Another reason would be, I want to practice my mind, in writing, and I am also hoping that it can help my speaking skills even though I am just writing. This article making can exercise my mind, and can make me be creative, rather than just playing online games, finding partners online, wasting most of my time scrolling through my social media feed and being insecured everytime I see a pretty girl having the time of her life.
***What are my hobbies?***
I am a hobby stacker, I stak up hobbies and then leave them hanging. The feeling of leaving one hobby does not feel good you know, especially if you really wan to pursue that hobby but your body and your schedule say no. Somr of the hobbies I have before that I left already is:
Playing the guitar
Playing the melodica (which i planned to make my own youtube channel for tutorials)
Claying/Sculpting
Doing tricks in yoyo
Digital Art
Cosplaying
But here are some of the hobbies that I started and still is doing:
Crochet
Only one, haha, I am sorry, but I am having dillemas in my schedule, especially that I have online classes. I am gonna add in my stack pile the hobby of article writing, though my hands hurt evertime I type but I know that all of this would be worth it. Plus, I am able to let off some of my steam through writing, it relaxes my mind, this is like free therapy. I am like telling a story to a therapist and after I tell my stories my whole mind would be at peace and by that my day would be really productive after.
***Can I write an article consistently in this platform?***
Actually, It depends. If I have a really hectic schedule, then I won't be able to write, you know, I have to secure my future by doing good in college, gotta have that passing and qualifying grade!
It depends too, if my body would let me. There are times where I can't do a single thing, I feel bad every night if I think about how I spent my day doing nothing. But I can't help it, I can't find the motivation and the will to do the stufss I wanted to do within the day. But I am currently finding ways on how to remove this bad habit of mine, It really is a big hinder in pursuing my dreams.
However, Even though It actually depends on my schedule and my will to write, I will still do my best to be consistent, I'll try to write each day. Right now, It has been four or I think it is five, five days already since I published an article, now, that is not being consistent. So as a consequence of that, I will write five articles within the day, It is possible though, since I don't have much work to do and that I have lots of time in my hands this day.
***What mostly would be your topics in the future articles that would be written by you?***
It would be mostly about life, advices and such, personal experiences, personal stories, stories, poems, and even a diary like of what happened in my whole day. The topics would just be random, but I assure you that you readers will gain benefits in the future articles I'll be writing.
*Closing Thoughts:*
I am hoping that my journey in here would be really fun, and that I can gain friends, knowledge, new understanding from you guys! A week in here, and in noisecash, is really nice, no toxicity, no insecurities, some I envy, but I took that envy as a positive one to strive harder. I was able to interact with others and learn thing about them. Thank you very much for having me and for reading this article of mine about myself. Have a good day!
Making Peace with your Heart
*Good forgivers not only free themselves from the past pains but create healing for the present and open the door to a future of happiness and peace.*
When he was two years old Wayne, the youngest of three children, was abandoned by his father. Unable to support her three boys, their mother was forced to turn them over to the state. They spent most of their childhood in various foster homes. The few facts Wayne knew about his father were negative- he was a troubled man who drank excessively, physically abused his wife, was chronically unemployed, and spent time in prison. As Wayne grew up, the anger he felt toward his father developed into hatred. In the 2015s Wayne learned that his father had died and was buried somewhere. On a business trip to the area, he decided to visit his father's gravesite. Wayne's mission was to forgive his father.
In a one-way conversation he said to his father: *"I am certain that the time has come to abandon his anger and hatred that I have carried around so painfully for so long. I want you to know that as of this moment, right now, all of that is gone. I forgive you"*
The man who describes that event is best-selling author Dr. Wayne W. Dyer. In his book ***You'll See It When You Believe It****,* Dr Dyer says that one act of forgiveness produce immediate posiyive personal and professional benefit in his life. He experienced emotional tranquility, his family life improved considerability, and he wrote his first bestselling book, ***Your Erroneous Zones****,* with relative ease*.*
The ability to forgive is the ultimate sign of personal maturity and social responsibility. Forgiveness is the way to make peave with the past, create joy in the present, and build hope for the future. Although forgiveness is easier said than done, forgiving wrongs, both large and small, is indispensable for emotional health and vitality in life. Here are eight tips for becoming a better forgiver.
1. Make the commitment be a forgiver.
The first step in moving beyond anger and bitterness toward a person who has caused injury is making commitment to forgive. A deliberate and conscious act of the will must be made in order to end any lingering pain and hostility.
2. Work daily at the task of forgiveness.
The best forgivers become the way through dailt practice. Martin Luther King, Jr., taught: "Forgiveness is not an occasional act, it is a permanent attitude". Rather than view people who wrong you with hostility and anger, take a few moments to forgive and excuse individual. Soften any feelings of bitterness or animosity by thinking kind and loving thoughts about the person who caused the offense.
Begin each day by recalling these biblical commands:
"Be kind and tender-hearted to one another, and forgive one another,as God has forgiven you through Christ" (Ephesians 4:32)
"You are the people of God... Clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Be tolerant with one another and forgive one another. (Colossians 3:12, 13)
3. View others as tools for growth.
An important process of forgiving is to stop blaming others, and see them as tools for growth. The biblical character Joseph understood this principle. In spite of the fact his brothers had beaten him and sold him off as a slave, he was able to forgive them because he saw them as instruments of his own growth and development. When he and his brothers were reunited after many years, the brothers were terrified that Joseph, now powerful man, would use his authority for revenge. Instead, he said, "Don't be afraid; I can't put myself in the place of God. You plotted evil against me, but God turned it into good" (Genesis 50:19, 20)
4. Understand the personal benefits of forgiveness.
At one time or another, every person experiences the sting of rejection, humiliation, deception, betrayal, disappointment, or abuse. The way to get healing for those wounds is to forgive.
5. Be inspired by great forgivers.
Learning about other people who forgive great wrongd provides powerful motivation and inspiration.
6. GIve anger more time to subside.photo edited by drickxandrea in CANVA
Anger emerges whenever one person is hurt by the actions of another. Although forgiveness can be given quite rapidly, it often takes much longer for the anger to ease. Be patient with angry feelings and give them time to subside.
7. Apply forgiveness to all situations.
Every hurt, large and small, can be forgiven. It is possible to pardon even those whose actions make it appear difficult to forgive.
8. Be gentle with yourself and don't give up.
The art of forgiveness is a lifelong endeavor. There will be many occasions when attempts to forgive result in failure. Yet it is important not to become discouraged and quit trying.
Finally, keep in mind that people who are good forgivers not only free themselves from the past but create healing for the present and open widely the door to a future of happinness and peace. Forgiveness is always a healing process that leads to wholeness.
Thank you for taking up your time to read this article of mine. May your hearts be able to give forgiveness and let your past be not hurtful anymore, your present be as awesome as possible, and your future be as happier than ever before.
Dream your Dream
*There's not one thing that you can't get for yourself, if you really want to.*
Who am I? I am your special godmother. You know, like the one who helped Cinderella. I am here to help you get what you want most. Friends? Popularity? Just let me wave my wand.... there! You've got it. Now what do you want? Good grades? Zap! You've got it. Now what? A good job? A fast car? A college education? zap! You've got it! Now what?
Come on, now. There's got to be something else you want. Can't think of anything ? That's what usually happens. Few people think abeyond what you've asked for . Oh, these things are OK, but actually they are really limited. I've seen a lots of people reach these things and find themselves unhappy. They found that small goals are just not enough.
I just wish I could find someone who would dare to dream really big dreams and give me a chance to do my thing. I wish someone would want to make a difference in the lives of others: find the cure for AIDS, discover a source of energy that doesn't pollute the air, find a way to stop violence. Or if that's too big, simply wish that others would be happy, healthy, cared for, and loved. Now that would give me some exercise!
Confidentially, if you only knew it, you don't really need a special godmother. There's not one thing we've talked about that you can't get for yourself, if you really wanted to. I mean it! How? Well, let me tell you the secret. Very few people really reach their true potential. But just five steps, carefully followed, will move you toward your personal dream.
Step 1. Dream your Dream!
Don't get trapped in "how". Go ahead and dream. Find out what you would like to do most in life. Ignore all the reasons you can't do it, and decide what you would like to do if you had no limitations. Of course, you can not fly by flapping your arms in the air, but you can learn to be a pilot and fly a Boeing 747. Dream your dream and then turn your dream into a personal goal. Simply set yourself to reach that goal no matter what.
Step 2. Decide to pray the price.
Every dream, every goal, every achievement, costs something. Pay the price, and you can reach your goal. There are cost barriers for every achievement. Decide you are willing to pay that price and you reach the goal.
Step 3. Take One Step at a Time.
Even the longest journey is made one step at a time. Break your big goal down into practical steps of smaller actions and goals. Line up the steps and take them one at a time. Keep your big goal in mind, but move toward the next short-term goal on your list. Reach them one by one, and the big dream comes true.
Step 4. Do Not Give Up.
Think of this old story about the "gold rush' days. After working for five years in his gold mine and finding no gold, a man became discouraged and sold his mine for a meager sum. The person who bought it started digging, and only three feet down the tunnel he uncovered one of the richest veins of gold in the West. He became a millionaire by digging just three feet farther than the person who quit. Maybe it is just a story from another time, but the lesson is true. Once you set your goal, keep at it. Move a little bit each day, and you'll make it. If the dream is worth reaching, it is worth keeping until it comes true.
Step 5. Believe in Yourself.
This can be the toughest step of all. All around you are people who will give you a thousand reasons why you can't reach your goal. They will even say you are not worthy to reach it, not strong enough to reach it, not smart enough to reach it. People who really achieve their dreams ignore dicouraging putdowns and choose to believe in themselves. They believe that if they are able to dream the dream, they are able to achieve the dream. Choose to believe in yourself and keep choosing that belief each day. Your big dream can come true!
Maybe it's just as well so few people know these steps, and fewer yet follow them. If you and others really set yourselves to dream and act this way, it would put us special godmothers out of business.

Nine Ways Children Differ from Each Other
*Somewhere along the line, somebody must have changed the parenting rules.*
How come some parents hardly survives growing and taking care of their own child? How come other parents takes it easy and seems to have enough time to have fun for themselves even with a child being taken care of?
These questions are not new questions for us. Parents have realized that parenting, even though with the same process, can give a result that are different from each other. What is really surprising is, even in the same family, childrean are different right from the start. What some people do not realize is that *the ways in which children differ are somehow similiar*.
In 1956, medical doctors Stella Chess and Alexander Thomas, began conducting a longitudinal study with a sample of more than a hundred (100+) children. They observed these babies, conducted interviews with their mothers and fathers, and sent in researchers to gather data. As time passes by and the babies grew older, Chess and Thomas continued to follow their development. They spoke to their teachers, continued observations in their homes, and talked with their parents. As the children grew into adulthood, the medical doctors persisted their research. What they discovered was simple but profound: *Babies are different from the start.* In fact, they concluded, babies are different in nine specific ways.
First, *Children differ in their activity level.*
Some prefer to curl up on the couch with a book, while others are always in the go. They blow through life like whirling dervishes, expanding a constant flow of energy.
Second, *Some children are more regular than others in such things as hunger, sleeping and waking cycles, and elimination.*
Regular children are much easier to potty train than irregular children. They favor routine. Their meal times, bedtimes, and schedules all fall into predictable and comfortable patterns. Not so, for irregular children. Their body clocks so not tivk off the moments of their lives in anything that even resembles a predictable fashion.
Third, *Children's initial responeses to new situations vary.*
While some children rush excitedly and confidently into new adventures, other hold back fearfully, needing continued assurance and encouragement to take the first step. In other words, some children tend to approach new situations positively, while others tend to withdraw.
Fourth, *Children differ in their long term responses to new situations.*
While some children are highly adaptable and flexible, otehrs find it extremely difficult to adjust to change, taking weeks or even several months to acclimate themselves to new circumstances.
Fifth, *Children have different tolerance levels for sensory stimulation.*
Where one child screams over barely stubbed toe, another will fall off a cliff and walk away without skipping a beat. Children with low sensorythreshold often complain about seemingly insignificant things.
Sixth, *Children differ in their quality of mood.*
While some children are naturally sunny and pleasant, others face life with more of a grim or sober demeanor.
Seventh, *The intensity whith which children respond to situations various.*
Some children reach to life's circumstances with a huge amount of energy. If something is funny then they laugh until their tears begin to stream. If they are angry, they stomp their feet and raise their voices. Other children are more bland. They smile vaguely at humurous situations and let the offenses of others roll their backs with barely a crossword.
Eighth, *Some children are more easily distracted than others.*
Such children are more attuned to outside stimuli. they have difficulty concentrating if so much as a fly buzzes by the window. Yet their siblings may be able to do their homework with the television going, the door opening and closing, and people entering and exiting the room.
Ninth, *Children differ in their persistance and attention span.*
Some children never give up. They perceive the goal, they concentrate on the objectives, and they go for the prize. Others abandon a project in despair after one short-lived, failed attempt.
Obviously, each child comes with his or her own unique mix of these characteristics. Even children from the same family can be much different from each other. Some parents may find this very frustrating, and even painful, especially when a particular child uniqueness appears to be "bad".
Suggestions that can help Parents deal with troubling differences in their children:
These are three suggestions coming from the medical doctors themselves:
Do not assume that if your child behaves differently from what you expected and hoped, you have been a bad parent.
Do not assume that your child is deliberately behaving in a waythat upsets you and could behave differently if he or she wanted to.
Do not make moralistic judgements about your child because of the behaviour that does not live up to a standard that you have set.
**The bottom line is this:**
***Accept your child for who he or she is.***
Don't try to make one child into a copy of another. Work with your child within the framework of what he brings into a situation. Look for unique strengths. Help him recognize and deal with his own liabilities.
