The beauty of Sagada pt.3
Sagada has it's own beauty and mystery that you should see and experience before you die.
The next attraction that we go to is the Echo valley. This is where the hanging coffins are located. What is hanging coffins? This is a native ritual where the natives put their loved one's coffin in the cliff of a mountain where it is hanging. Sadly the tradition stops last 2017. We hiked the Echo valley before we got to the hanging coffins. It is called Echo valley because when you scream in the middle of the trail going down to the hanging coffin, your scream will echo throughout the valley. But because I respect the dead, I didn't shout to try that. After that, we go to the central market of the town. We bought marshmallows and hotdogs for our bonfire later. Sadly our caretaker said that the fog are thick and the woods for bonfire are wet. We are sad because it's my first time to experience a bonfire. But our caretaker said we can use the fireplace of the house. Sounds funny but, yeah, we roast our marshmallow and hotdogs in the fireplace. After that we go to our bed. Us boys are sleeping together in the attic of the house and them girls are together in the room. This night is spooky because I woke up with chills, my body are shaking and I feel cold. But the air temperature that night is hot so because of that I got scared and woke up my little brother to join me in my bed. After he sleep beside me the chills are gone. Tomorrow morning, our caretaker said that our ticket for the next tourist spot are missing so he bought one. So we got to the pottery house there. We learned the culture about the pot making of the town. Besides the pottery house a field of tall pine trees. It gave me Twilight vibe, I imagined that I'll see Bella and Jacob running through the woods. After that we go to the church of the town. Our caretaker said that this church has corals in its altar. I cannot believe how these dead corals got there. The caretaker said that there's a local myth that Noah's ark was true and that corals was put there by the great flood that happened in the bible. I can't believe it because we are on the one of the highest town in the province. After that we go home and eat our dinner then proceed to sleep. This night, we are watching some movies then our bags started to move. One of the bag's zipper are suddenly opening. WE ALL SEE THAT AND WE CAN TELL THAT IT IS TRULY HAPPENING. We got scared and we slept while listening to gospel songs. Next morning, it is 4 am and we were going to the famous sunrise attraction. When we are chilling in the second floor, I told them about the creaking door and they just laugh at me then suddenly the door started to creak and no one's in the room. They stop laughing and I said "See? told you guys this is some paranormal shit" For real, that was I've said to them. After some chitchats and fast breakfast, we are now going to the sunrise attraction. First we hiked and while walking we can touch the cloud. It is amazing moment for me because it is my first time feeling the cloud. It's is like a fog. Unfortunately, we didn't saw the sunrise because the sea of clouds are blocking the view. We hiked down and buy some souvenirs. I bought a locally made smoking pipe, but I don't smoke tho. As we're hiking down, I suddenly notice that my breath are smoking like in the winter movie where you can see your breath smoking. Again, it is my first time to experience that so I grab my phone and record my own breath. After that we got home. This time, it is our free time. So we chill in the house terrace and watch the sea of clouds and the mountain ranges. On the afternoon, we go to the town and eat to the local restaurant there. I highly recommend to go to the yogurt house and try their famous yogurts. Also, try filipino street foods there like isaw and pork barbecue. We bought so many souvenirs and food that afternoon because it is our last day in town. Tomorrow, we will go home. Tomorrow morning, I was told by my aunt to take a shower because it will save time for our trip and it is the only bathroom we can use. I was like "wtf it is 4 am and nobody is in the first floor." So they told my other cousins to go downstairs and stay there as I take bath. And I completely agreed to that. The bathroom is hella scary because it has exhaust window and you can see the scary trees outside just by looking at it. I was so scared to close my eyes because it was dark outside and I can hear the trees moving by the air. I finished my bath quickly and fast because I can't take it anymore. I was so scared. Fast forward, we ate our breakfast and bids our goodbye to the house. While in the middle of road trip, they all told their spooky experience in that house. It was all of a fun experience.
Before we go home, we stopped over at Baguio city and buy souvenirs again. Then, we go to our long road trip. I slept the whole trip because I have a class tomorrow morning and it is my research defense. So yeah that was the beauty of Sagada that I've experienced and saw.
Thank you guys for reading this! I hope to write more like this in the future.
The beauty of Sagada pt. 2
This is the part 2 of my vacation article about the beauty of sagada.
Last article I told you the best parts of Sagada and about my near death experience. So continuation...
We did caving, and take pictures with the rock formations of the Lumiang cave and when we are heading back to the entry point of the cave, we climb again the steep and slippery rocks of the cave. I was in the highest point of the exit route when I lose my balance and I was about to fall. I felt that the time slowed and said to my self that "You should quit acting disgusted with the bat's poo and grab the rocks. It's life and death situation." So without hesitation I grabbed the rock that is covered in bat poops. After we reach the entry point, I said to the tour guide that I was about to fall and he said that gladly I didn't fall. For me that was the best and thrilling experience in my whole life. To think that I'm still living today.
So we got home and cleaned ourselves. This is where the scary parts begins, what I mean scary is that in our rented house there are spirits and elements. I was showering in the afternoon when my shower heater suddenly cool down and later boiling the water again. I thought it was because the heater's broke and I asked the caretaker about it and he said that the heater was bought day before we rent the house. At first I ignored it but it gets worsened. Afternoon, all of my cousins and aunts are in their rooms and I'm the only one who are in the lobby at the second floor. I was chilling and surfing in the internet when the door started to creak so loud and thudding. I ignore it again, I don't want to be scared that time because it is our vacation, we should be enjoying it. The creaking and thudding of the door suddenly stopped then my aunt leave the room where the door is creaking and asked me If I was the one who are playing with the door sound. Bro, I was 3 feet apart from that door! It still gave me chills while typing this article.
So I said "No, I'm using my phone here and chilling" then she replied "You shouldn't chill there alone, this is not our house."
So I join in their room and sit besides my cousin in bed. After that, we go to the Echo valley.
stay tuned, I'll publish it later.
Thank you for reading my adventure!

The beauty of Sagada pt. 1
It is my first time going into scenic mountain ranges of the north Luzon.
It was our family vacation trip.
When we are already on the road, I slept and later woke up in a dark mountain roads. I can see the stars glowing brightly than when I'm in my roof back in the city. The air pollution there is low so you can see them clearly.
The zigzag roads makes me dizzy but it's worth the dizziness to see the clouds kissing the mountains. On our first stop over somewhere in mountain province, as I leave the van, I can smell the difference of the air there and the air from the city. You can smell the trees.
We rent a cabin type mountain house that has an overlooking view of the mountain ranges. We ate our breakfast in a cold weather. After that we go to the famous waterfalls in the province. We hiked for 30-40 minutes to get to that waterfalls. We walk in the rice terraces and villages. We are greeted by friendly and welcoming natives there. As you walk, all you can see are just green and blue color which is the color of rice terraces and the color of the sky. The temperature that day is quite hot but I didn't notice that because the wind is still cold. As we arrived, many tourists are already there swimming, capturing photos and having a picnic beside the majestic waterfall I've ever seen in my life. When we go back home, We hiked for 15 minutes then ride a jeepney. We sat in the roof of the jeepney to continue seeing the beauty of the province. When we got home, we ate local lunch. Then we take a quick break after that we go to the burial caves to see those old coffins that is piled and stocked up in the caves. Then, what we did was a near death experience for me. We go down to the biggest cave and it was hard because of the slippery stones. We got in the bottom of the cave, we take pictures in rock formations. This is the scary part where I nearly died of...
To be continued...
I will write the next part and publish it maybe later or tomorrow. Thank you enjoy reading.
Building confidence
I considered that people who are born with self confidence are people who are lucky.
I grew up being an introvert and dependent person. By that means, I'm still depending on my mom when I make decisions in my life. I grew up not socializing and carry that behavior throughout my life.
It really became my problem when I started my college career. Making friends is really hard for me because I don't have the confidence to approach new people. Also my friends told me that the first time they saw me they are hesitant to approach or talk to me because they said that I have those snobbish aura.
Later, they end up as my small circle of friends.
Rebuilding confidence is not that easy and fast. Here are things to do when rebuilding confidence:
1. Accept your flaws
the first thing that a confidence person did to have his confidence in self is accepting that he has imperfections and flaws. It is the one that makes us unique at all. accept it for what it is and that it is a part of you. If it is unchangeable, acceptance is the only key for truly loving yourself
2. Stand tall
observe on how you walk and your posture. Are you walking with a slouchy posture? This is what it looks like for someone who walks with no confidence at all. Stand up tall, lift your head, and straighten your shoulders when you walk.
3. Eye contact
Looking someone in their eyes when you talk to them shows them that you have confidence in yourself. It is also shows that you are really paying attention and interested on what they're saying.
4. Let go of negative thoughts and doubts
Life is short to think and stuck in negative thoughts and never ending doubts. It is understandable somehow because we are scared of what will be the outcomes of our actions. Thinking positively and letting go of your self doubts will help you to move forward in your journey.
5. TAKE THE RISK
Say "I can do it" in your head and take the risk. Whatever will be the outcome always think that it will help us to grow as a person. A confident person are those who always take the risk.
Building your confidence may not be easy in first time but it will become a hobby and you'll notice that you are now a confident person
