Events of the past births your future
In life everything you do leads you on to the next phase, what ever you are going through now is just to prepare you for what is to come in the future, no matter how difficult your condition is today just keep pushing and holding because one day you would look back on all the things in the past and see they were necessary for you to get to where you need to be.
To understand what I meant by the statement in the previous paragraph share with me the story below.
A girl left her family who were working as farmers so she could join the Marines, at first she thought it would be hell but she just had to try it out because she was tired of working at the farm all day and every day. Back at the farm she and her siblings work for old man minch to earn little rewards.
After she joined the Marines her parents were scared because they didn't hear from her for months, they wanted to go over to the city to look for her but it was quite a journey that they probably couldn't afford and they wouldn't even know where to start looking.
On Saturday morning they got a mail from the daughter Alice who they thought must have been enduring a lot on her own while working for the Marines.
The mother was so happy when she got the letter, she quickly took it to her husband so he could read it, he took the later and started reading it:
Dear Ma and Pa,
I am well. Hope you are. Tell brother Walt and brother Elmer that the marine corps beats working for old man minch. Tell them to join up quick before all the spots gets filled up.
When I got here at first I was kind of rest because I had to stay in bed until about 5am, but I am getting used to it because I like to sleep late. Tell Walt and Elmer that all you have to do before breakfast is shine some things and smooth your coat. There are no feed to pitch, hogs to slop, mash to mix, wood to split, fire to lay. That's just it, practically nothing.
Men do have to shave though but that's not so bad. There always warm water. Breakfast is strong on trimmings like fruit juice, cereals, egg, beacon, etc but kind of weak on chops, potatoes, hams, fried eggplants, steak, pie and other regular food, but also tell Walt and Elmer you can sit by the two city boys who live on coffee. If you can work it out with them, their food, plus yours, holds you out until noon which is when you get fed again. Now I know why these city boys can't walk much.
Every now and then we go on "route marches" which the platoon leader says are long walks that's supposed to harden us. If that's what he thinks, it's not my place to tell him any different. The funny thing is a "route match" is about as far as our mailbox at home. Then the city guys get sore feet and we all ride back in trucks.
The sergeant is just like a school teacher. He nags a lot. The captain is like the school board. Majors and colonels just ride around and frown. They don't really bother you one bit.
The most funniest part of all is, I keep getting medals for shooting. I don't even know why. The bulls-eye is as near as big as a chipmunk head and it doesn't really move, nor does it shoot back at you like the Higgett boys back at home. All you have to do is just lie there all comfortable and hit it. You don't even load your own cartridges. They come in boxes.
Also we have something they call hand to hand combat training. On this you have to wrestle with them city boys, but I am always very careful though because them city boys are quite fragile and break very easily. It's not even as close as fighting with that ole bull at home. I am about the best they got in this except for one other guy from silver lake. I have only been able to beat him once, we actually joined the same time but I am just 5'6 and 13 pounds while he is 6'8 and weights about 300 pounds.
Ma and Pa ensure to tell Walt and Elmer to hurry up and join in before others at home know about this setup and all the slots gets filled.

Hope you understand the story line, initially all she wanted was just to leave the farm and she decided the Marines was her best option and when she joined up she discovered everything she had done or encountered in the past while working at the farm was what made being a marine so easy for her, because the stuff they do are nothing compared to what they normally do back at the farm, so she was pretty much able to scale through it all like it was nothing or just another day at the farm. She had to even reach out to her brothers at the farm who I presume must even work more than she does and tell them to come join her as Marines so they could all live better lives because it was childs play to them.
What ever comes your way is for a reason, every hardship you encounter, you are meant to learn something from it and use that to propel yourself into your future.

Take out time for the ones you love
Sometimes in order to get hold of us, people have to go out of their way to reel us in using means they might not have initially wanted to use. To understand what I meant by this statement share with me the short story below.
There was a couple who were in their prime, they had just 2 Children but these children where not living with them, they were always busy working, working all the time. They were so busy that they never come home for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, new year not anything, most times they call and send their regards while other times they even forget to call.
Now this parents really missed their children and would do anything to see them, they were always worried why their kids never bothered to drop by or even bring their own kids to see them but they knew they had to find a way to bring them home.
They thought for days and weeks planning the best way to bring them home until they finally said they should try out one strategy.
One Sunday morning the father pickup his phone called his son and said, son I am tired of all this I can't take it any longer 45 years of misery and pretending is enough for me, the son was still confused and asked his father what do you mean by that dad. He said I am referring to your mother, I can't stand her anymore, in fact we can't stand the sight of each other it unbearable, we are getting divorced, this marriage cannot go on any longer. I just wanted to tell you before taking legal actions, I am on my way to see my lawyer so we start working on it.
The son felt the seriousness in his father voice and was speechless, he begged and begged his father to please calm down but he refused to listen, the father told him there is nothing you can say or do that would make me change my mind, all I want you to do is call your sister and tell her I and your mother are getting a divorce and he ended the call.
The son was so confused and couldn't hold himself, he called his sister immediately and told her that their dad called and he was really on fire, that he was getting a divorce, immediately the sister heard this she exploded on the phone. She was so loud, she screamed that nothing of such would happen, not while she's still alive. She told her brother she was going to call her dad right now and scold him that he should get ready they are going to see their parents immediately no matter what.
The daughter called her dad the first time and he didn't pick, she called again he still didn't pick, she didn't give up because now she was already on fire she called once more and the her father picked up, she told him you are not going to do anything of such not while I am alive. You and mom should stay home and not go anywhere, we are coming home immediately and she ended the call.
After she hanged up the call, the father and mother looked at each other and smiled, we've got them coming home for Thanksgiving, now let's start thinking of what we would tell them for Christmas.
This was very funny to me, because it reminds me of myself after I moved out of my parents home I found it more difficult to call home or even visit always busy with work and school. My mom would always call me to see how I am doing and sometimes she would have to trick me with something or the other to make me come home and when I eventually get home she would say she just missed me and wanted to see me, I would end up just laughing and tease her.
Then again, this is something really important we should take note of as humans, sometimes taking a few minutes to call or text those who care about you especially your family would go a long way. Taking out that day or a few days to go home and spend time with your family would go a long way. So please don't forget to always call in on your parents, sibling or loved ones.

A mother's wisdom
So this is a very quick one, this is about a story I heard from a friend and I just decided to share here with you guys because it felt really smart and really funny at the same time.
There was a mother who went to visit her son in school and why she got to the school she discovered her son had a roommate, she was expecting it would be a boy but was shocked when she discovered it was a female roommate.
The mother also suspected they had something because she saw that the girl was really beautiful and she find it hard to believe that her son and the girl were not sleeping together because she saw the way they interacted and the way they looked at each other at different time intervals.
The mother wouldn't want to go ahead and start making them feel awkward by asking if they were sleeping together so she had to figure out a way to know if truly her son was sleeping with the girl or not.
Time passed and mother was still with the son and the girl in the house they just talked smile at intervals look at each other talk to one another and so on. Things went on like that, they didn't actually act in any suspicious way but still the mother was not convinced she still felt they were hiding something she wasn't sure what it was but she just had to figure it out.
While all these were going on in the mother's head her son noticed her mind was a little bit far from them so he understood what the mother must been thinking so he spoke up and told the mother that he had nothing to do with the girl that they were just simply roommates and no-strings-attached. We're not sleeping together, he assured his mother of that, so as just to clear the air because he felt there was a bit of tension coming from his mother towards he himself and his roommates(the girl).
So the mother was there that day until the evening and when it was time for dinner she was served by the girl who prepared the dinner the meal was actually tasty and mother knew the girl was actually a good girl but she still wasn't convinced. So after eating dinner she said she was going to assist the girl in washing the dishes of which she did and they both washed the dishes together after that she left for home.
The next day morning the girl was preparing breakfast and she discovered the silver plate she used for serving her room mate mother the previous night was nowhere to be found.
The roommate searched everywhere but still couldn't find it so she checked for the whole of that day and still couldn't find it so she went over and told the boy that she didn't find the plate she used in serving his mother the previous day. She asked him if he has seen the plate since that day but he responded he hasn't, they both searched for the silver plate for another day and she couldn't find it.
On the 3rd day she suggested that he should asked his mother if she saw the silver plate. The boy was a bit confused on how was going to ask his mother if she actually saw or took because then it would mean he was accusing his mother of stealing the silver plate from his house so he was a bit confused but he has decided to lay it out there and see what his mother would say, so he sent his mother a message saying "mother the silver plate we used in serving you dinner the last time you came to see us, we couldn't find it after you left, now I'm not saying you actually took the silver plate home and I'm not saying you didn't take the silver plate home but I just wanted to let you know that we couldn't find the silver plate", he sent it and said love you from son.
Now the message got to the mother and when she read the message she smiled to herself knowing she has figured it out, she sent a reply back to him saying "son I'm not saying you are sleeping with your roommate and I'm not saying you are not sleeping with your roommate but what I'm saying is if your roommate had actually slept in her bed for the past 3 days I left then she would have found the silver plate under her pillow".
As funny as this was it was very smart of the mother and she actually won a price for it. This was very funny imagine she actually left the plates under the girl's bed and if the girl was actually sleeping on her bed, there was no way she wouldn't have actually discovered the silver plate but the fact that they reached out to the mother means they didn't find the plate and she hasn't been sleeping on her own bed, but instead on the boy's bed, so she knew they were actually sleeping together after all. Mom's are just awesome.
