These are lilli-pillies ... miniatures to the rose apple more common in tropical portions of the world (Syzygium species) ... available to be picked along with a lot of other urban forage even into December ... I can pick a snack outdoors for about half the year here, so I do ... lilli-pillies are sharp and sweet and crunchy, and a nice handful is a refreshing snack on a walk!

I did ... they were lovely and will probably be reliable as a snack through the winter! The weekend is going quietly and well, and I hope yours is too! More fruit pics on the way ... even into December, there is still a bit of variety...

I have never heard of lilli-pillies, what do they taste like?
Crunch like a green and Gala apple combined (somewhat airy), with a taste like green apple and berries with just a hint of pineapple if fully ripe...
That sounds yummy, I bet they would be good made into jelly or canned just like they are. I also found out that if you go to your profile page and look under your name there is a number, this is how many people are following you, I have 73 but I do not know how to tell who they are. I only have 9 under updates.
In Australia they do make jam, and it is supposedly good. By early winter I might be able to find enough at my reach level to make an attempt ... I imagine they would also be nice with lemonade, too. Thank you for the heads up ... I never even thought to look at my profile ... I think updates come from people we choose to follow...
