TODAY! "Today is a gift, that's why it's called the present" * - A special story for a special person - YOU- * Take half a minute and read this story because it is really something special: Two men, both very ill, were lying together in the hospital. One of them had the opportunity to sit in his bed every day due to the extraction of water from his lungs. His bed stood by the only window in the room. The other man had to lie on his back all the time. They quickly met and talked all day. They talked about their families, their homes, their jobs, where they were in the military, and where they were on vacation. Every day, the man sitting by the window described to another man the things he saw outside. The man on the other bed began to live for those one-hour moments when his friend sat and talked about the events and colors of the outside world. The window looked out on the park by the lake with the swans. Geese and swans played in the water, and small children lowered their small boats into the water. Young couples hugged and walked with flowers of all colors. Large, old, and strong trees beautified the landscape, and the lights of the city could be seen in the distance. When the man by the window explained all this in detail, his friend on the other bed closed his eyes and imagined all these picturesque scenes. One day a man by the window described to him a parade, which was moving along the lake. Even though his friend had not heard that music, he had seen it in his mind. So the days and weeks passed. One morning a morning nurse brought washing water and found the body of a man by the window who had died peacefully in his sleep. She was sad and called the medical staff who took the body outside. As soon as this was possible, another man asked to be moved by the window. His sister gladly satisfied him, made sure he was comfortably seated, and left him alone. With great effort he rose slowly to his elbows to see the outside world for the first time. He finally had a chance to enjoy the outside beauties on his own. He looked out the window and saw an empty wall. The man asked his sister what was the reason that the late friend described things so beautifully in the outside world. His sister told him he was blind and could not see the wall in front of the window. He said, "And maybe he wanted to make you happy?" Epilogue: Immeasurable happiness lies in making others happy, regardless of our conditions. Divided sorrow is halved, and when we share happiness it is divided. If you want to feel rich then count the things you can't buy with money. "Today is a gift, that's why it's called the present." The original writer of this story remains unknown! Good luck! Sretno!
