My dear friends of the noise! 9 years ago, I was on a mini bike ride around Ruma. The road led me to the village of Pavlovci and slowly took another road back to Ruma. Some 17.7 km were transported and some photos were taken and I will share some with you. Among other things, a photo of this cross was taken, and I will share with you what this cross represents. French cross On the territory of Ruma, there are 10 crosses and 2 pedestals on which crosses stood in the not so distant past. Having in mind the entire monumental heritage of Ruma, this number of monuments in the form of a cross, ie the rest of the cross, is really impressive. They were built mostly at the beginning of the last century, with a few exceptions dating from the second half of the 19th century. Old maps of Ruma and Ruma Atar from the 18th century indicate that crosses existed even then, but they have not been preserved. There were 10 of them. All the crosses, the existing ones and the ones that no longer exist, were built for a specific purpose. The purpose was: to protect the place where they stand (guardian crosses), to perform religious rites in front of them (ritual crosses) and to preserve the memory of certain personalities (memorial crosses). *********************************************************************************************** Dragi moji prijatelji buke! Pre 9 godina sam bio u jednoj mini vožnji biciklom po okolini Rume. Put me je vodio do sela Pavlovci i polako drugim putem nazad u Rumu. Prevezeno nekih 17,7km i napravljene neke fotografije a deo ću podeliti sa vama. Izmedju ostalog nastala je fotka ovog krsta te ću sa vama podeliti šta predstavlja taj krst. Francuski krst Na teritoriji Rume postoji 10 krstova i 2 postolja na kojima su u ne tako dalekoj prošlosti stajali krstovi. Imajući u vidu celokupno spomeničko nasleđe Rume, ovaj broj spomenika u vidu krsta, odnosno ostatka od krsta je zaista impozantan. Podignuti su uglavnom početkom prošlog veka, uz par izuzetaka koji potiču iz druge polovine XIX veka. Stare mape Rume i rumskog atara iz XVIII veka ukazuju da su krstovi postojali i tada, ali oni nisu sačuvani. Njih je bilo 10. Svi krstovi, postojeći i oni kojih više nema, su građeni sa određenom namenom. Namena je bila: da štite mesto na kome stoje (krstovi čuvari), da se ispred njih obavljaju verski obredi (obredni krstovi) i da čuvaju sećanje na određene ličnosti (spomen krstovi).
