Bešenova Lake or Beli Kamen Lake is located near the village of Bešenovo, on Fruška gora. It is about twenty kilometers away from Sremska Mitrovica and Ruma. It was created in a former mine, from which the Beocin cement plant extracted marl ore. Besenovac Lake started to be filled with water in the eighties of the last century, after the mine was abandoned. After 20 years, the lake reached a depth of 50 meters. According to some information, the lake currently reaches a maximum depth of as much as 57 meters and the depth continues to increase. It is believed that the water of Lake Besenovac is healing, due to its mineral composition. The same goes for the mud around the lake itself, so it is not uncommon to see visitors applying it to their bodies. The water is clear, pure and has an unusual turquoise, azure color. The lake is bordered by rocks of white stone, which is why it got its second name. Evo još malo fotki sa jezera Beli kamen i malo da vam napišem ponešto o samom jezeru. Bešenovačko jezero ili jezero Beli Kamen se nalazi u blizini sela Bešenovo, na Fruškoj gori. Udaljeno je oko dvadeset kilometara od Sremske Mitrovice i Rume. Nastalo je u nekadašnjem kopu, iz kojeg je beočinska cementara izvlačila rudu lapor. Bešenovačko jezero je krenulo da se puni vodom osamdesetih godina prošlog veka, nakon što je kop napušten. Nakon 20 godina, jezero je dostiglo dubinu od 50 metara. Prema nekim informacijama, jezero trenutno dostiže maksimalnu dubinu od čak 57 metara i dubina se i dalje povećava. Veruje se da je voda bešenovačkog jezera lekovita, zbog svog mineralnog sastava. Isto važi i za blato oko samo jezera, pa nije retkost videti posetioce kako ga nanose na svoje telo. Voda je prozirna, čista i poseduje neobičnu tirkiznu, azurnu boju. Jezero je oivičeno stenama belog kamena, po čemu je i dobilo svoj drugi naziv. Ovakav prelep ambijent učiniće da na trenutak osetite da se nalazite na moru.
