Hanukkah is a festive Jewish holiday celebrated by Jews all around the world. Traditional foods served during the 8-day holiday include potato latkes, brisket, and sweet fritters. Jewish families in Italy make these holiday fritters with fragrant anise-flavored Sambuca, dried fruit, olive oil and honey. Whether or not you are Jewish you will love this recipe. You might even incorporate it into whatever holidays you celebrate. My favorite Jewish food is bagels with lox and cream cheese. Yummy! When I lived in Pittsburgh PA we would go to the Jewish neighborhoods and buy freshly cooked bagels from the bakeries. :-)
