Trader Joe's is a popular grocery store company. It's an American chain, with its headquarters in #California. They have certain specialty products. One of their products is Trader Joe's Umami Seasoning. You can order this product online OR you can use this copycat recipe to make your own. Copycat Umami Seasoning Recipe | Food Network Kitchen | Food Network ~ https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/food-network-kitchen/copycat-umami-seasoning-5651036 You'll need: porcini mushroom powder, white mushroom powder, onion powder, mustard powder, crushed red chile flakes, dried thyme, freshly ground black pepper, and Kosher salt. I usually have all of those ingredients in my spice cabinet except the mushroom powders. I have never used #mushroom powder for any recipe. Have you? ❓❓

Here in the UK, you can buy mushroom ketchup in some supermarkets. It's also good for adding umami to a dish.
It is an American chain but owned by a German company. It is actually owned by Aldi Nord, not to be confused with Aldi Sud which owns the Aldi chains we all know and love in the U.S. Same family. But different companies.
Interesting. So this family has the high-end and the low-end of the grocery business covered.
Something like that. As I understand it these are brothers, are two parts of the family that could not get along who split the company into Nord and Sud. I think the Aldi Nord runs many Aldi stores in Germany. But I could be wrong. But Aldi Sud runs all the Aldi stores here. Can't we all just get along? lol
I don't cook. By popular demand, I must add. (Even when my wife is sick, she does NOT want me to attempt to cook for her.)
