For those who started investing from the beginning, I can imagine they must be sitting fat and happy right now. Me? I didn't discover bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies until 2017 and it was an accidnetal discovery. I joined a site that a free faucet. It changed my world. I had no money for investing. But at least I could use free faucets to earn a little bit cryptocurrency. For a person with no money who doesn't really know a lot, it was a good way to get started. The first thing I learned was that Bitcoin was not the only cryptocurrency. In the early days, my favorite altcoins were #Litecoin and #Zcash. But then in 2021, I discovered #BitcoinCash. There are lots of other altcoins creating a buzz like Ethereum, Cardano, Solano, Stellar, Ripple, etc. I am considering investing in those, listen at a later date. For right now, I know about and have proven Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash, so I stick with what I know. So to answer the question as to why prefer altcoins instead of bitcoins: IMHO: Most people THINK Bitcoin is beyond their reach and that altcoins are REACHABLE. Why not invest in both? I own BTC, and I own several altcoins.
