“Black gulaman is a popular Asian drink. This refreshment is made with ice-cold water sweetened with gulaman (black jelly) and arnibal (brown sugar syrup). In the Philippines, this is a staple drink that is commonly sold not only in restaurants but also in street stalls.” How to Make Black Gulaman – Delishably ~ https://delishably.com/world-cuisine/How-to-Cook-Black-Gulaman BLACK GULAMAN (SWEET GRASS JELLY DRINK) recipe | Epicurious.com ~ https://www.epicurious.com/recipes/member/views/black-gulaman-sweet-grass-jelly-drink-1239411 #Filipinocuisine #worldcuisine #globalflavors #drinkrecipes #foodblogs

I asked the Filipinos here about it, as I have never seen this here in western Mindanao, and they didn't know what I was talking about. So I showed my wife your article, and she said that is a dessert, not a drink. (I always get the words "dessert" and "desert" confused.) I don't think it is very popular here, but it might be popular in other parts of the Philippines.
